I think Howie just got really lucky with his FA pickups last season. CJGJ, TJ Edwards, and Kyzir White. It made what was a mediocre defense with no real superstars somewhat good. And Bradberry was good for most of the season. 

But now losing all 3 of those guys and not able to find adequate replacements, has really exposed this defense for what it is. 

Howie’s philosophy of just throw guys at a problem and hope someone sticks has hurt the linebackers and the defensive backs this year. I believe they need to invest in the secondary via the draft. Time to take a corner in the first.

The running game is trash, finesses open field runner are not championship caliber backs, they fail when everybody knows you need to run the ball.

The best runner on the team is Boston Scott and he never plays.

Honestly this game didn't mean a whole lot division wise. Still control our own destiny. But I can't find it in me to still care.

Send Brown on a blitz. He can’t cover so maybe he can use his speed to get there. Ironically Morrow earlier in the season was a lot better at getting to the QB on the blitz, but now no one gets there.

I gave up on the one seed last week. 

D looked ok on calls but otherwise same story.  Bradberry is cooked and they don’t tackle well.

Offense looked about the same with a few more runs. Too many forces long balls by Hurts ignoring wide open people in short/medium.  Just too much big play hunting when not needed. The screen game just looks so awful, the timing is all off and Hurts pass leads the WR right into the back of the blocker.

They are a mess limping into the playoffs.
