They were moving ball before both interceptions.  Don’t understand throwing long.

  • I don't like this team. There have been teams with less talent that I enjoyed watching and was easy to pull for. This is a arrogant team who got lucky to start the season and thought they could Coast

  • For the first time this year I’m excited about the Eagles chances this season. That’s the best I’ve seen the defense play in over a decade. I still believe the offense will come around.

Welp, now the Offense stinks.

Bad loss, because that was a fairly easy winnable game.

I assume they will be the 5 seed, go to NO or TB.......and lose. One and done.

This team has NO shot to go to the SB. They are leaking oil all over the place.

There are too many problems happening all at once right now.  The defense lacks talent, can't tackle, can't cover, can't stop the run and can't pressure the QB.  I don't think any coaching scheme is going to fix their issues.  They moreso need talent along with a defensive philosophy shift.

The offense, though...man, what in the actual F.  This unit DOES have talent yet they're still failing.  That falls mostly on coaching.  That said, Hurts has regressed this year, no question.  Hate to say it, but this year he looks more like the QB many people thought he was prior to last season.  Far too often he bails the pocket earlier than needed, starts running around and 90% of the time he just puts himself in an impossible situation.

But, the fact that he takes off and starts scrambling around leads many to think that he has to do that due to the OL/pressure.  Sure, sometimes that IS the case. But many times he just bails too early instead of standing tall and finding the open receiver...because there almost always is one, Hurts just can't find him because he is locked into Brown or Smith.  He is also making some awful decisions with where to go with the ball. The only thing Hurts is comfortable with is running.  Ever notice that is his main go-to?

The offensive struggles are just brutal.  Brutal play designs, play calling and execution by the QB.  It's quite possible that last season was the anomaly and this season is "the new norm".

Drew: "Hey Pete, game's on the line, need a big play"

Pete: "Yea"

Drew: "Wanna throw it to DK?"

Pete: "Naah, just throw it to whoever is lining up against Bradberry"

Tough loss.  The D played so much better till the last drive.  They pressed all 3 WRs on the first 3rd down of the night, brought LBs up to the line, brought the back 7 closer so they could challenge throws.  Much improved.  The bad play calling and play design on offense lost this game.

I agree. The defense is going to be blamed for giving up the late TD and the shifting around of coordinators before the game... But really it's the offense holding the team back. 17 points isn't going to get them back to the Super Bowl. They needed a late scoring drive to put the game away. Put the ball on the ground, grind the clock down, and add to the lead. Instead they're needlessly taking deep shots downfield. Did they run a play under center in the 4th quarter? They couldn't get the ball past midfield. They let the Seahawks hang around and got burned at the end.

We can blame the dbs all we want and for good reason but the eagles invested a ton on the Dline for exactly the situation they were in on that last Seattle td drive..no pressure at all. Lock stood there like a statue and threw darts. That was another big disappointing aspect of yesterday's game.

defense was way better than the offense last night. if you hold the opposing team to under 21 points, you should win that game. the problem is this offense and the lack of cohesive play calling. Hurts also is not seeing the field and is consistently missing open receivers.

reaching. I thought he was out too. It was a hell of throw and catch. no excuses

The other thing is… They clearly are not learning their lessons. In wins this year there have been a couple of games where they have actually scored too quickly and then watched the defense give it up. Like I know that’s a small thing but you just want to see them be smarter.

I don't know if its Hurts, if its the coaching, why he isn't seeing the field, why he keeps going deep over and over again when there are wide open receivers right in front of him. I don't know who needs to change here but something needs to be done. Perhaps they are telling him to throw to the guy they want to get the ball and stop throwing it to other people? perhaps he isn't seeing the field?

I feel like the commitment quote from him last night was exactly this..its a Trust issue between hurts and johnson. Johnson isn't committing to Jaylen to do what needs to be done to win the game. But honestly jaylen hasn't played the best to be trusted either.

Third and 6 from the Seahawk 9 and we run instead of pass.  We get nothing and kick a field goal.  Who didn't know we would lose at that point?

Hate to say it but Kelce moving the ball forward on 3rd and 1 and causing a false start, cost us the game. We should have gotten 7 there instead of 3.

Moving the ball forward like he probably does every tush push when the O-line is still moving around lining up.  That was crap just like the offensive "offsides” they’ve called in other games to screw us out of an easy first down

The Oline has been really subpar this year too. Almost every time that Hurts needed more protection, they failed him. Im glad all the talk about "best oline in football" has stopped....

We’re in for a complete coaching staff change this offseason after this. This is just sad.

I doubt a complete change, Sirianni had 'em in the Super Bowl last year. DC change has been made in all but name, Jalen may not be happy about moving Johnson out.

Hurts had plenty of time yesterday.  If hes leaving the protected pocket on a third and 7 for no apparent reason, you cannot blame the oline for it.

agreed. johnson isn't doing hurts any favors. the offense is too talented to be operating like they are. i do believe its a multitude of issues and not just one thing. Hurts is definitely to blame for part of it but so is johnson. we are seeing just how important coaching is to a team. it feels like we are re-living the pederson era all over again. coordinators get jobs else where and the team falls apart.

Hurts had the dump off to the back with nobody in front of him for 30 yards. Jalen Hurts doesn't see the whole field and he's been around long enough that there's no excuse for it. I'm really starting to suspect that he's just not very bright. I'm not buying the Hurts hype any more.

Jalen has been playing a certain style of ball for how many years? It's easy to revert when under stress.

Exactly. They can't outlaw the play mid-season so they are doing the next best thing with those Micky Mouse calls.

They fired Pederson 2 years after winning the whole thing, so it isn't completely out of the realm of possibility. Frankly I don't care what Jalen is happy about. This offense sucks and we need a more sophisticated scheme.

Do we have a QB on the roster with the IQ to run a sophisticated offense?

IQ? What about the McKee from Stanford? He's certainly lacking in big game experience but would think he has the brains. I don't think Hurts lacks smarts to run a complex offense, he's just doing what he's always done.

Hurts needs a QB whisperer. If he scrambles left or right, 99% chance of a sack or incomplete pass. There are so many times that if he steps UP in the pocket he can make throws or find running lanes. But I fear that nobody is working on the little things with him.

Those things he should already know.at this point in the NFL. Nothing is going to help him. His Bad decision making is only getting worse sadly.
