Perhaps they know he is going to be there next round. Or maybe their target is Magee from Temple who they know will be there next round.

Howie made a calculated decision that…in a bad 3rd-7th rounds….rather than take the best highly scouted player on the board with no upside, he’s better off getting a gaggle of picks and doing random crap with picks like this.

Not Josh Sweat. This guy can cover. Connor Barwin.

He might never be a dominant rusher. But hes might be a 8 sack guy who is also going to tip passes at the LOS, get PDs against RBs and TEs, and can even line up man to man occasionally. The guy can end up anywhere on the field. A real chess piece who will make plays all over the place.

We have enough picks to really hit the weak depth spots of our roster like RB, OL 8-10, LB5, WR6, etc.

Agreed. A year in a pro program is gonna do this kid wonders. This was a Fangio pick, and I may be in the minority but his potential has me really excited.
