Hunts combine was merely good.  He’s still an intriguing pick, but he didn’t Sweat/Barwin the combine.

Very happy with Day 1.

Day 2 was definitely a letdown.  Hopefully Howie can rebound on Day 3

I'm just here taking in the sights. Howie's had a very good offseason, the draft has been solid. I would ask "What's to complain about?" but, with Philly fans, there will always be something 😂

Have you seen the city connect jerseys?  How can we not complain?

Here comes the shocker when the Eagles trade Hunt and all their accumulated picks for Reddick with the Jets picking up half of his salary.

How many people ACTUALLY know a lot about him? I doubt anyone here was passionately watching Houston Christian University games. There's a possible high ceiling, but there's a possibility of a floor that is equally as low.

It’s not whether any of us watched him. It’s whether the Eagles did. That he was one of the 30 visits suggests rather strongly that they did.

We're good. Work, school, almost a year in our brand new house. Health, friends, things are blessed.

Nice, congratulations on the new digs. Still near Nashville?

Great 10 yard split with vines for arms. Wish he had a better three cone.

Yeah, it’s clearly the definition of a boom or bust pick.

We all knew going into this draft that outside the top 40 or so the depth of this class was flat.

So we trade back twice and take a stab at a unique prospect with elite athletic traits.

It might work out, it might not, but at least he has a chance to be an impact player.

All if takes is 5-10 minutes of research to see that Daniel Jeremiah had him as his 64th ranked prospect and a lot of people had him as a top 100 pick so calling it a reach is just stupid, lazy, and factually incorrect.

Hunt was invited to the Combine and to the Senior Bowl. It's not like he's a long shot out of nowhere.

Converted safety with a late growth spurt.

A total project, but I think Fangio sees him not as an edge but a true SOLB, with the athleticism to rush off the edge, but the experience reading defenses to drop into coverage.

Needs a year in the weight room and hard coaching in technique, but he's an explosive athlete, 37" VT at 252 lbs.

Doubt the training facilities and coaching at Houston Christian are NFL caliber. So there's probably a lot of room for development.

No one they were going to take after DeJean was starting this year, so it makes sense to go for upside picks and be willing to miss on a few.

Howie is very good at finding backups from UDFAs and the waiver wire - this is where you gamble on possible future starters. Same with the 4th rd picks.

screw the combine. try watching him play. find whatever you can. hes on youtube. Watch him move. Pay attention to where they line him up and what he is asked to do.

Compare Cooper's elementary coverage assignments, to the ridiculous asks they require of Hunt. At his size too. The guy is insane.

Cooper DeJean is an Eagle. That is the big takeaway from today.

And 2 more 4th round picks...

They aren't going to cut a 3rd rounder so you'd have to imagine this ends Patrick Johnson's run with the team and the Oren Burks and Julian Okwara signings don't mean much now.

DE/Edge is going to be BG, Sweat, Huff, Hunt, Smith and Baun.

Inside will be Dean, White and BVS

If you're going to let drafting Hunt over a guy with literally no ACL at the end of the 3rd overshadow making a great trade to snag DeJean in the 2nd there's really no pleasing you.

Fangio was notoriously cantankerous with his players in Miami, notably benching a second round rookie corner. It’s very interesting that our top three picks were defenders with DJ spoon fed that note about Fangio wanting to coach Hunt.

Mitchell can ball. DeJean is a weapon/chess piece. Hunt was handpicked. Very interesting to see how that works out.

He’s top 8% all time in RAS.

Definitely better than "merely good”.

Mahogany is still there. Something is clearly up with Franklin and Sanders or they’d have been long gone. Cedric Gray is still there. Easy to see why Trotter wasn’t taken yet.
