thats very interesting. maybe there is no room for the leeway RTK and others have gotten when they do their race baiting. maybe the mods actually have no choice but to act on it now.

I mentioned a little while ago I think it would be wise to be pro-active on an AJ Brown trade while the curent free agent class is a strength this year. 

I think it makes sense to extend Reddick to keep him around for another 3 years. But if they wanted to save cap this year, decrease dead money in future years I dont really have an issue with a Van Ginkel signing, and maybe drafting Chop Robinson.

This isn't from an EMB allowable discussion kind of thing, it's solely from a "Google is a horrible company but we want them to send us a thousand dollars" kind of thing.

From the EMB side, if the rules allow the discussion points to be discussed, great. But from the Google side of things, they're ultra sensitive to things that might be outside of their corporate agenda/point of view. The Boob thread in WU is another example of a thread that Google freaks out over as if it's hard core porn or something.  So I have to try to balance things out. 

I have CVON disabled from Google's view (Google can't see it), if I did that with TATE, we'd lose a lot of revenue. That's why I'd like to have those sorts of discussions/arguments/accusations (or whatever you want to call it), done over in CVON where it won't affect our funding.

the issue is that the race baiting is a recurring thing in the blog for a few years now because when @RememberTheKoy gets mad that people criticize Hurts, he brings up that its due to race. He just did this the other day which is why you got the notification. And he has done it many times before.

@T-1000 is another one who doesnt even post much but occasionally shows up just to play that card. 

Unfortunately these guys were doing it back when downundermike and 4for4 quit/got banned. It is what emboldened DUM and 4for4 to continue to keep going harder at these guys until the mods had enough of it. It went from poking fun at silly posts from a bozo like RTK, to feeling they needed to defend their morality that was under constant attack by bozos like RTK. And every time they got a warning from a mod it made them go even harder because they realized they were the only ones would be standing up for themselves as they received little to no help against bozos like RTK. These race guys weren't banned though (they should have been), and have continued with the race stuff even though those other guys are gone.

Im completely against banning members from our small community. But if their presence threatens the very existence of this community, then they need to go too.

We know at this point that those guys arent just going to stop with the race stuff. They repeatedly keep bringing it up.

If we all ignored them, then we wouldn’t see it and it would die.  In all fairness, DUM and 4for4 went after a lot of posters not just those two.  The banning was warranted.

I am not in favor of anyone being banned. I would hope that RTK can eliminate the discussion of racism here in response to criticisms of Hurts.  RTK does have good insight at times.

Well, we'll let this kind of serve as a kind of warning that discussions of that nature need to be in CVON. Not because it's a 'forbidden' kind of topic/discussion, but because it can hurt our funding by causing the deletion of a good source of revenue. 

I've been working fairly steadily for the past 4 years to build up our outside revenue sources so that we can be self-sufficient and not need donations and we're finally getting to that point. Don't misunderstand, donations are awesome and greatly appreciated but I sincerely don't want to ask people to dig into their own pockets to fund the board... for multiple reasons. But at the same time, if we lose our revenue sources, I don't want to dig into my wallet to plunk down $2000+ a year either lol.

BUT, keeping RTK and others was NOT warranted. We have all seen that while DUM and 4for4 arent here to continue their schtick, the race baiting has not stopped from RTK. And now he threatens the existence of the EMB by potentially cutting off a key revenue source.

Such is the world where content drives the money. It's a sports dead period right now, so people are going to run with narratives whether they exist or not. The AJ Brown thing is a complete and total creation out of absolutely nothing. At this point it's a self feeding entity.
