Yea but it’s still Sirianni’s offense. He just needs someone who can run it better. Maybe the new OC wants a different WR or RB coach, but I don’t expect a complete overhaul like we should get on the defensive side. 

Still kind of feeling bad for Desai. Yes, the defense struggled but I noticed over the first part of the season he was at least making some very smart adjustments at the half. OK, you want more, but that was a sign of potential. 

As for where we go from here, it´s like last offseason all over again, new coordinators on both sides of the ball. There´s no sense giving these jobs to unproven guys unless you are going to give them time to make it work. There was a weird sense of panic about the 2023 Eagles, leading to a lack of clear thinking - even when they were winning. Hands up - I thought the ship would be righted after the really tough part of the schedule. i was wrong. They really need to get these decisions right.

Report: Eagles interview Kliff Kingsbury for offensive coordinator position

Former Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury continues to chart a potential course back to the NFL.

A year after being fired in Arizona, the USC senior offensive analyst has interviewed with the Eagles for the vacant offensive coordinator position, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media.

Kingsbury recently interviewed for the offensive coordinator position with the Bears. The position went to Shane Waldron.

In four years with the Cardinals, Kingsbury generated a record of 28-38-1. Before that, he served as head coach at Texas Tech, where he had a record of 35-40.

The Eagles recently parted ways with offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, who became the offensive coordinator after Shane Steichen was hired to coach the Colts. The Eagles are currently looking for both an offensive coordinator and a defensive coordinator.

Both jobs will entail considerable pressure in 2024, given that failure by either or both could spark a full housecleaning for 2025.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni is due to meet with reporters on Wednesday for his end-of-season press conference.

We just had a historic late season collapse and we're talking to Kingsbury?  Look back at his NFL and college seasons where he was a HC...just about every single season his teams collapsed after starting strong.  He's another one where defenses figure him out and he can't adjust.  If we hire him, then this popular meme will literally be true for him and Sirianni...

His offense was very college style heavy if I remember correctly? Not sure how that would work in the NFL? I know the NFL adopts a lot of what college does but you need to be more nuanced and have a smarter scheme than that.

Also not on the Kinsbury bandwagon.  He too was obsessed with shotgun and WR screens ... it would be more of the same.  We need to see more of a traditional style offense (at least a % of the offense ... lining up under center, running from under center, etc.).

It's pretty obvious a lot of people commenting on KK's offense haven't watched very many of the games he has coached.

Screens, pass, pass, pass offense, that opposing defenses figure out and stop after 1/2 a season. And there goes the running game, too.

But am I wrong about stuff? All the time and I admit it after. Do I get pissed and ornery? All the time I'm from Philly and it's sports. I own it proudly like the people who booed the first home game this year. It's in our blood not to put up with BS.

You do have to wonder if we hire someone like Rivera for DC if he might want to bring in some of his own positional coaches (and if they will allow him to do so).  

You might remember he was in Eagles TC in 2011 but never made the roster.

I'd take Jerrod Johnson over Kingsbury if I had to choose between the 2.  That said, and without knowing anything about him, he's not compelling either.  Yeah he coached Stroud for one season...to go from assistant QB coach for 1 year, QB coach for one year with a great rookie QB (and very good OC), he's gonna jump right to OC?  I mean, who knows?  But he even has less experience than BJ did.

I don't even know who I'd want as OC.  But I do know I don't want Kingsbury...and I'd be very tepid with someone like Jerrod Johnson.

He did get the Cardinals to the playoffs in what was the toughest division in the NFL.  He would be exactly who the Eagles need as OC. 

Omg, I know it’s early but Kliff Kingsbury and Jarrod Johnson. Sounds like Brian Johnson all over again. 

Not a good start to finding an OC.
