I am duking it out this week in fantasy. We are the #1 and #2 teams (I am #2-same record) I am down 85-74. I have Tyreek Hill playing tonight. It's going to be close. I need at least 1 TD and lots of yardage,or 2 TD's .The first is probably more doable with Miami's lack of offense

So this guy doesn't give any information as far as any cap savings if they cut Goedert....typical 2024 journalism!

$718k is the savings if they trade Goedert before playing in 2025.  I don’t think they trade or release him until after 2025 season.

I read that article earlier.

Looks to me like some clown trying to stir up crap

The league has reached parity as was intended long ago. Took time to get here, but the Pats will be the last "dynasty" and those wins were bigly on Brady and Gronk and some nice clutch slot guys they had. SOOOOO many injuries this year it seems, especially to WR's and DB's. They have these kids wound tight coming out of college

Really? Chiefs are a dynasty right now. Parity? The bottom 10 - 16 teams are really bad. Panthers, Jags, Giants, Cowboys w/o Dak, Jets, Patriots, Browns, Raiders, Saints, Bears, .that’s 10 right there. I do know what you mean about parity. I think Joe might be right on this that the whole league is just not great football. So 6-10 teams that have good records, Eagles being one of them, are pretty darn average, but they win because there are so many bad teams.

Mahomes is the dynasty and alot of ref help LOL. A bit early to compare them to the 70's 80's 90's dynasties isnt it? So if 16 teams are bad and the rest are mediocre that is parity. If they are almost equally bad that is parity. Has nothing to do with being great. Some teams are bad because they are missing a boatload of players. Kind of like the game we had vs the Bucs. Put that team there on the field for 4 games and how many do you win???? AZ has been bad a few years now,but how are they doing after getting Murray back? If everyone is healthy on every team for every game any team could beat any other. That is parity. IDK if anyone has lost 17 games all year? Except for the 0-16 Browns party I went to and the opening year for the creamsicle Bucs. We almost lost to the Jags and had a tough time with Cleveland. The Jets and Browns are annual doormats because of stupidity in FA and the draft and Carolina gave away all their top players for some moronic reason(Caff,DJ Moore to name a few)

So out of 32 teams only the Chiefs are good, the rest are even? Thats parity my friend and BTW Mahomes is having an iffy year stat wise with many games assisted by the refs. Could give you the Ravens also,so that's 2 teams out of 32. We still have not been tested with a tough schedule (just like last year????) We've had it pretty easy these last few years as far as scheduling. We should have a better insight after the next 3 games. If we win all 3 then I can add us. So 3 out of 32 is about as good as it gets. The other 29 are fairly equal(parity)

Looks like the Super Bowl will be Lions vs Chiefs.

How do you not count the Lions? They have played great. Even won a game turning the ball over 5 times.

True.forgot about them. So counting us(if we are) thats 4 out of 32. So 28/32 are pretty even? But once again would you call the Lions a "dynasty"? They were crap for many years but through the parity systems the NFL has and making good decisions they are now contenders. How did they get better without help? Cap floors and ceilings give bad teams a chance at improving as do better draft picks getting new talent in place and compensatory picks are more efforts at parity

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1574285-how-the-nfl-became-the-most-competitive-league-in-all-of-sports This was a number of years back the leagues goal is PARITY. You can't support stadiums if your team is so bad nobody shows up for the games. Ticket sales of 3,000 aren't going to keep the stadium lights on. Bad teams are rewarded with the first draft picks etc

I can give you KC is a dynasty due to the W/L record since 2016

Lol... 11.8 mil is the " cap hit"

You have to give what the " cap hit" would be if they traded him...

Then you have " cap savings " ...which is the difference between the cost of keeping or trading him.

Again... 2024 journalism...enough said.

Which team does Mahomes play for?  If he is a dynasty...then so is the team.

Nah... more like the Chiefs have won....as part of a small group of teams that are good.    Then you have the next small group of teams that you could say ...average or competent.

Then you have about half the league that is bad.  With about the last 4-6 teams being absolutely awful.

Far from parity.

You call the Chiefs a dynasty because they won titles!   Why would you call anyone else a dynasty?

You been visiting planet Ham lately?

Right, the Chiefs are because of him, and some bought off refs. I called no one else a recent dynasty. There are teams that are consistently there every year, but can't call those dynasties without titles, especially(mostly) SB wins. The GOAL of the league is parity. The bad teams are bad due to consistent stupidity(which I also said) by their respective FO's/owners/bad FA's and drafts. The bad teams get first draft picks(attempt at parity) Smaller market teams get the same ad info money as big market teams(attempt at parity).small market owners have the same vote as larger ones(attempt at parity),Then you have compensatory picks to keep teams in contention by adding draft picks when they lose certain players. Cap limits/system keep big market teams from "buying a SB" if they had unlimited funds to do so. Teams that are dynastys have capable QB's with capable FO's to surround them with players of high caliber, yet remarkably inept clubs get the top draft choices so they are rewarded for being inept and stupid or tanking on purpose. The NFL has to keep their fan base interested. In the regular biz world, they would simply go BK because there are no fans buying tickets or merchandise

OK educate me. Why if you trade a player would not the "cap hit" be the cap saved by trading them?
