LA is such an unknown they seem to be getting healthier though and could be a really big test for our young CBs if Puka and Kupp are playing

We got in trouble 3 drives because we forced Hurts to pass

Well I hate to say this but it's true. WR's want some stats. Other guys need to eat besides Barkley. If you have no stats,it's more difficult to get big money from another team or an extension from us. So I understand the need to make Hurts throw. And frankly for 53 million a year Hurts needs to demonstrate he can throw. You need to try out plays on the field to find OTHER things that may work(or not). You need to find alternatives besides "hand the ball to Barkley" so while it's unpleasant at times, AJ and DSmith need to be part of the team too. They need to feel involved and we can't wear out Barkley every game. He's here for at least another year maybe 2(his contract) and it makes no sense to burn the guy out year 1. It looks like he is really enjoying being here, but even he said "let the other guys eat". Of course he meant RB's but the WR's need to "eat" too. I believe we need to mix it up a bit more not do "all run or all pass" on any given series. When some plays fail, you learn or adjust so I can't fault them for trying to pass the ball. I just wish Hurts had some field vision. Missing wide open guys or not seeing windows coming open. Hurts is a 1 read RB who can throw. He's done nothing to change my mind

You run ...FIRST....sets up the pass.  That is the formula that has worked.  The WRs get their stats...second.  Run first to set it up.  You don't have the pass first QB.

Unless the run isn't working, you can also set the run up by PASSING,even if it's to Goedert.Sometimes you need to pull guys out of the box to run successfully. Depends who you play. This is why I get miffed at Hurts, you can use the MIDDLE of the field, short stuff over the middle to TE's,slot crosses, or even RB's out of the backfield to get those LB's pulled back so they can't stuff the run. We're going to beat Barkley to death unless we find other ways to move the ball,so I guess we have slightly different ideas how to free things up

Except...go look at the play by play... and ...when we went pass first ...that's when we punted.

Lol...video out there about Mitchell... " your receiver was sent to Quintomino Bay. "   lol

Well that's because we have an inadequate passing 1 read QB. I was talking about a normal team LOL

Goff... great passer

Can Collingsworth kiss Harbaugh’s butt any more? I don’t think it’s possible. He is going to be permanently attached if he’s not careful? Good grief!

Bit like any of the commentators and how they talk about Purdy. He can do no wrong in their eyes even when he is making mistakes.

Cincy/Chargers was also very entertaining. Both clubs had an excellent mix of run/pass

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10143089-nfl-team-needs-prioritizing-every-rosters-biggest-weaknesses-before-week-12  Well,I disagree with taking a WR in round 1. Not necessary. I would put that 3rd on their list. Hurts doesn't look to the slot much,so no sense wasting a round 1 pick. Wilson and ASmith should be fine. If we see Hurts targeting the slot more, then maybe, but he hasn't shown me a willingness to do that and if I'm Howie, unless the pick is a total STEAL it make no sense to go that high. if I recall we gave up our 3rd,but that would be a nice spot to get another slot guy. I agree that they need to play more and see if Hurts goes there. That would tell me how much to invest(if at all) in that position. BTW on the updated draft list we pick at 29(as of week 11) which would put us as losing the NFC title game. Saw many really good, coherent teams play this week and as 93 said the next 2 will be very telling

DL next year has to be priority.   Just look at the numbers.

I agree with this, our pass rush is just "ok" nothing to write home about. Add another O line depth pick, maybe another LB too. I would like to find a WR somewhere,an outside guy who could man the alot for now or be used in case AJ or DSmith goes down. We saw how lame we were without them

We could use everything.

Graham,  Sweat and Williams are not under contract next year.  Graham probably retires, Sweat is getting up there. Milton probably gets a good offer elsewhere.   The DL is the #1 position that needs youth and depth.  Must be addressed in the draft next year.

Pretty much a must win for the Rams. They will be pulling out all the stops and we need to take care of business

Interested in this kid. Can be used in a number of ways. Has good hands and body control. He's small, but could play outside in a pinch with his speed.Late 4 early 5. Let him compete with ASmith
