Is the goal to win week one as the priority..or the SB? So very clearly and plainly were massively outcoached in that last SB. Are we going to get it this season? I mean if that’s the case every HC the Eagles have ever hired was trash even AR that bum couldn’t win a SB here…. Only good HC in our franchise history was Pederson. Out coached in the last SB what lol costly turnover and a terrible PI call in that SB but was 100% the coaching that cost us

Mind you we are also the run heaviest team in the entire NFL and it isn’t even close which in turn also drains clock faster as well No doubt we’ve been playing pretty much the opposite of No Mas boy Chipper ball. Don’t have the stats to specifically back it up…but just gotta believe all in all our games have provided lesser drive opportunities.

We were the better team. Never seen a gift wrapped championship season setup like 2022. We should have won.

But IMO we would be even better with at least a dozen other coaches. But it’s not just the points per game. Not so much about how SB ready to as this squad week one. It’s about now…postseason time. Be the best you can be at this point. This is my area of concern here. Think they would be about the same…. AR great HC we going to sit here and act like he didn’t make terrible decisions Juan as his DC???? His time management skills???? How many years of Marty and the super pass happy O? We can nitpick and point out massive flaws in every coach AR went to a SB in 04 and was never all that close again after maybe 08 ona somewhat Cinderella run before we lost to AZ

Maybe almost like if the chiefs didn’t get a phantom PI call that would have given the Eagles nearly 2 mins on the final drive to tie or go ahead but instead they he the call and drain the clock and win
January 7, 20251 yr Or guess we dna blame the coaching for not preaching ball security to Hurts for his fumble that probably would have lead to us leading 21-7 but instead made it a 14-14 game

But don’t for a minute believe AR wanted to fire McDermott. FO interference kind of shoved that whole situation.

And the team putting up 67 points in 7 quarters without Hurts... neither WR suffering scoring twice each and putting up yards. Hurts is along for the ride as any QB would be with this supporting cast of elite players around him and the #1 defense. Just don't mess it up. Joe, you have to acknowledge the opponent in those two games without Hurts….both crap defenses. I get REALLY frustrated with Hurts and his lack of ability to READ a defense. However, IF he will be a true running threat…not the wimpy fall down when a defender gets close…that alone adds a dimension WITH Saquon Barkley in the backfield. Yes or no?

But weeks 16 and 17 don't seem to be as high on your list? The huge development of the offense between week 6 and now?????

Double edge sword ... you see our other QBs not think about running. Hurts still sometimes kills the play too quickly in his mind and rushes to panic and tuck the ball. Why didn't we see that with the other 2? Pickett had broken ribs, stood in there until the last second a few times to make the throw and take the hit... the last pass he had to AJ was classic QB play, nothing was there, he stood strong in the pocket and waited until AJ made an adjustment off script to get open and then he made a beautiful throw... TD didn't count due to a penalty, but that was good QB play there. Hurts running ability, it's been an obstacle to him doing the basic stuff QBs need to do. and it's natural, if he grew up being able to out run everyone, why wouldn't he go into one read and run mode? That works for him. Not great for everyone else when they don't get a chance to touch the ball, but it works for him. You don't need a running QB to have an effective run game... ask the Lions. you also don't need the QB to squat 600lbs to run the tush push. We saw more middle of the field stuff... because the other QBs were able to see the middle of the field. It's give and take... the good thing is now that all of them have prepared to start a game now, if they had to go in, it's totally different than when Pickett had to go in cold vs Washington. Different not only for the backup QBs... but for their teammates and the play callers too.
January 7, 20251 yr 6 hours ago, Bleedinggreen93 said: Not sure I’m not going to hold Pickett for the bad play against Washington no game plan coming in for Hurts zero reps most likely etc. Dallas Pickett looked sharp though and image the Eagles knew McKee might end up playing because of the reps so he likely seen reps as well. But definitely like our QB room as a whole really highlights our ability to develop QBs when the backups shine(and we seen how terrible Pickett looked in Pittsburgh) I mean.. they put up 33 and Smith dropped the game winning pass??? Why would you hold anything against Pickett? Almost as odd a statement that you aren't upset Hurts isn't a pro bowl QB.. no kidding.

Yeah... he started one game... went right down the field twice... then got hurt... such a bad track record as the starter. Boy that one game really got you upset. Yet the crap SF organization cleared cap in 2017... missed the playoffs 4 times already! We missed one year.

January 7, 20251 yr 14-3 season.... 2 losses due to easy drops. The 3rd loss missing half the offense before DeJean started with the game played in 100.degrees. Youngest defense... giving up the least amount of yards.... 559 yards less than the 2nd best team. Back up QBs lighting up the scoreboard. Yet no development?? No respect for the coach? Makes zero sense.

January 7, 20251 yr Reed and Doubs are the main two WR to deal with. Kraft at TE I believe to be pretty key in this matchup.
