McVay was vacationing with Stafford right before he swung that trade

Hurts worked out and convinced AJ to cease negotiations with Titans to force a trade to us.

Tampering has been everywhere…all along

NFL TEAMS CAN TALK TO AGENTS..... THEY CANNOT TALK TO PLAYERS OR COACHES DIRECTLY IN THE FORBIDDEN WINDOWS.

NOT DIFFICULT

TALKING WITH THE AGENTS IS NOT TAMPERING

When did the NFL come up with this new rule?

Then before that….how were all these top coveted FAs already done negotiating , had picked their new teams agreeing to new contracts all before the legal period to do so?

Every year…all the time…every team

ATL = tampering because they had direct contact with Cousins

Arizona = tampering because they had direct contact with Gannon

Eagles not tampering because they did not have direct contact with Barkley

The whole world knows that during the combine and senior bowl agents are there... teams always speak with agents regarding players.  Nothing new.  That is NOT tampering.  Never was tampering!

Tampering is speaking directly to the person you are targeting to come to your team, during a forbidden window of time.  Not everyone does it.  Because that is what agents are for.

I know you hate Howie, but one of things he brings is that he is said to have excellent relationships with agents.  The agents influence players. More so today than ever before.

So now you’re saying it can’t be tampering by negotiating with agents before that’s allowed?

You are missing the forest because of the trees here

You are missing the rule for the rule here ... by not being willing to understand the rule you don't understand when a rule is broken and it isn't.  Because of your arrogance of being in your own world, and not that of the NFL rules... you keep missing this.  It is not my rule or anyone else on here.  It is the NFL rule that all 32 teams need to follow.

you talk to agents.  not difficult.

You can speak with agents all the time.  There is no rule against making contact with an agent

What is it I don’t understand? You aren’t understanding—-reality

I understand the new rule about negotiating window with agents. Understand why they needed to create that rule to cover up for the fact tampering was rampant. Tampering is still rampant…but at least there can be a reasonable plausible explanation for what’s occurring. Ten of the top FAs signing the first minute you’re even allowed to negotiate …wasn’t any plausible following of the rules.

YOU CAN TALK WITH AGENTS ANY TIME!!!!!

YOU CAN TALK WITH AGENTS ANY TIME....NEVER WAS A RULE STATING THAT HOWIE ROSEMAN COULD NOT TALK WITH DREW ROSENHAUS OR ANY OTHER AGENT!

Black and white rule.... there was never a rule where a team could not talk to an agent.  When did you ever hear of a team getting fined for taking a call with any agent?

Your issue is that you are focusing on what the conversation would be.  That's a different topic.

A team can talk to an agent... that is allowed.   Obviously conversations about players take place all the time... agent represents a college player coming into the league, they need to talk with teams.  Obviously conversations about veteran players will come up.... you can't put a rule in for that!   Do you think they will record every phone conversation... that isn't legal, no way to stop an agent and a team from talking about players.

But the rule is that teams cannot talk directly with players or coaches during those forbidden windows.   McNabb used to openly recruit during the pro bowl.   he is not a team rep.  That was always legal.

But Howie Roseman could not make contact with these guys directly. Not difficult to understand.  I'm not saying teams were not talking with agents prior.  Obviously Swift and Chicago didn't get on the phone and get a deal done in 5 minutes without Swift's agent talking to other teams... that's not a rule.  Who cares if agents talk with teams, that is their job.  They can't officially sign until day 1 of the league, so even if it's announced that a deal is done, they can back out... ie. Frank Gore.

But the rule simply remains...a team cannot talk directly to the player.  It's very simple... do all of what you consider " tampering"  with the agent.   Because it's not technically tampering!

You are looking at the forest, not understanding the rule is specifically about the trees!

I know the answer is money but it's really stupid to have a Monday night game during the playoffs.

Not only do the Vikes/Rams have one day less to prepare they also have to fly across country. So in affect they lose 2 days.

Not that i'm complaining.   at least not this year

Yeah, they dodge around the college playoffs a little also. Need those kids tuning in lol(money/ratings)

Jerruh refused for his HC to talk to the Bears, then fired him 3 days later. Real(non) class

I knew Sanders obviously gone. RB are cheap. Why wouldn’t you want to pay Saquan? On a team that’s been built to excel running the ball. These things are just obvious to me. What a season Saquan has delivered. Clearly much better than the Gainwell and whomever else committee like you and FL touted as an actual plan.

oh please getting Bark was more due to stupidity by the Gnats than anything and Howie jumped on the opportunity. WHO have we paid BIG money to at RB besides him? AJayi? Blount? WHO? Would you pay any of those guys or Sanders(your boy) the same as Barkley? Howie knows where the talent is don't kid yourself,he's not stupid. Like AJ was had because the Titans wouldn't pay him either. Howie looks for opportunities, some don't work out because nobody on earth bats 1000. Howie understood what bark could do and since we had the team built up mostly already for HURTS,he made the decision to add bark and go "ALL IN". It was quite obvious. And here we are!!!!! The SB window is open for us for at least 3 more years or possibly more if we resign Bark he seems to enjoy it here and his numbers speak for themselves, so maybe it's not just a window but a PICTURE window. has Howie been perfect? No of course not,but he put together a championship team and we have more years to take our shot. Hurts is seriously paid ALOT for what he does. Seems to me Siri(that suck coach we have) has become even more conservative with Hurts throwing as of late. Really this is our time. Next year, still this great team(we need to do well on re0signs or acqisitions),but the schedule is MUCH rougher. Alot of tough teams we face next year,so I don't expect the W/L we have now. So for me it's SB or bust. Siri has been holding Hurrts back. At some point he's going to have to throw the ball as the team we face won't allow us to just run with the bull

But we are a vastly much more potent team with Saquan instead. Like I preached all along….while FL and No Mas kept regurgitating it wasn’t wise to pay a RB. They just kept saying RB doesn’t matter it’s all Oline. I was always of the belief we targeted those Oline we should take advantage of with a top RB.
How are the results looking? Have we formed a conclusion yet? 2K yards proof enough?

UH Barkley isn't having success behind our O line? Was the gnats O line better? How many better O lines are there for him to run behind? A crap O line and Bark doesn't get these numbers-WORD

But absolutely love how Hurts took a team friendly deal.

Overpaid is team friendly? We saw our BU's produce with the 2's and 3's and they have little to NO experience with the 1's
