Who's job is it to get the team to play and get them out of a funk on the field? That would be your 255 million dollar baby no? I'm not being smart ass,but he gets paid to bring teams out of crap like that Mahomes does it all the time. Hurts keeps saying it's on him. Yep,so FIX IT already This is just not an educated statement. The coach has to self evaluate and change the calls. If the O is stale …that’s nothing a QB controls.
March 30, 20241 yr Offensive playcalling has to adjust. Not a QB ever lived that can overcome predictable playcalling.
March 30, 20241 yr 2 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said: I mean you can't pump your team enough to beat AZ???? C'mon man Exactly. Some how you just think it’s because of Hurts. He wasn’t the cause of the book being out on our predictable O. Or the terrible D.

You said $13 mil was cheap for him.... well, would you rather have Barkley or Jeudy for the same money? If you have money, get an elite player that impacts the game at a position that costs less...than pay the same money for a mediocre player who really doesn't change the game much at a more expensive position. I would never pay $13 mil for a WR..either get the $20 mil guy or save your money. Same with a $15 mil QB... it's an expensive version of a guy you want to replace. Bad business

Yeah....2011 style... when your boy sold you on " we have a defense built to play with a lead" and I was laughing because the game always starts 0-0. No investment at S or LB but 3 pro bowl CBs and 4 highly paid DEs... all the draft picks at DT... paying Vince Young, Steve Smith and Ronnie Brown top dollar as backups.... yet the garbage at S and LB?? That was with unlimited $$$$
March 30, 20241 yr 47 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said: Which has never helped much under Siri. Can think of two games where the opponent was ripe to pass all over. Otherwise physical mauling works for us. Right...because it takes the decisions away from the QB.

The selection will become a second-rounder if Reddick plays at least 67.5% of defensive snaps this season and records at least 10 sacks. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo notes New York will take on $14.5MM of Reddick’s compensation. The Eagles, meanwhile, could also be off the hook for a $1MM roster bonus I don’t like this trade. 2026? Really? For the best DE on the team? Disappointing.

March 30, 20241 yr Author 5 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: Exactly. Some how you just think it’s because of Hurts. He wasn’t the cause of the book being out on our predictable O. Or the terrible D. You don't go 10-1 then lose to a 4 win team. The QB needs to pick them up and get them back if he is a leader, which you constantly call him. So why didn't he lead, instead we hear "It's on me and i need to do better". That was a weekly statement he made for the last games we played. So that admission of guilt and the fact he failed to lead shoots holes in your "he's a leader" baloney. I don't hate Hurts, stop saying I do because that's a LIE. The man needs to go back to progressing not regressing ON THE FIELD,which has nothing to do with coaching. I don't care if it's a simple trap play option. Hurts needs to execute the play. At 10-1 we were possibly SB bound. Then things got tougher and Hurts did NOT respond. So let's be honest and say hurts is a middle of the pack QB with a great team we gave him. The AZ game should have been a blow out in our favor. Instead Hurts failed to lead. If it's on him as he kept stating, then yeah it's ON HIM. I like Hurts.,he is a nice person, but he has limitations like all players do. Now you can progress beyond those limitations,OR you have peaked and thats as far as you go. What will Hurts do now???? Will he go back to progressing or is this the best we can expect from a 255 million dollar QB? I'd like to see him take the next step. if he cannot do that we need to look for another guy. That is not hating, that is reality.Hurts needs to lead this team through the good and the bad instead of making the same lame statement every week we lose. I want Hurts to succeed. How badly does he want to??? he's right though this is ON HIM and he needs to pony up and play better. Howie gave him a nice offense and he needs to get guys involved instead of ball hogging. Leaders do not hog the ball, leaders get the stats for the guys around him UNselfishly. I am looking forward to seeing hurts perform at a higher level than he has been. he has the players around him and he needs to LEAD. We shall see. Another collapse would put him in the Fields category and I don;t want to see that, but there are 52 other guys to worry about. Let's see if he leads now. His excuse book has run out

It will be most likely a round 2 pick in 2026 Oh I’m not suggesting the value we got is terrible… Though a 2026 pick isn’t great. I just think they handled the situation badly all around and we were left with little choice.

I just think they handled the situation badly all around and we were left with little choice. Well at times you have to move on and we did that.Sometimes it's painful like when we lost CGJ. But now he came back. I thought the deal was fair. Not outstanding, but fair for both teams. We got used to Howie fleecing others,so when a "fair" deal is made it seems bad because we are spoiled LOL. So for me, draft picks are valuable when you have to roll someone out..Future draft picks can be traded to get who you want down the road. It keeps the team updated,or you can trade for a player you need. Howie does it all the time and love him or hate him,he keeps the team as fresh as he can. Could also be the new coaches telling Howie what/who they need. If there is a shift in how we play and he didn't fit,you get what you can. Remember when we changed defenses and Barwin was odd man out? Maybe that's what is going on IDK .

I didn't like how that was handled either, but the offer was apparently good enough for Howie
March 30, 20241 yr Just don't like seeing us get weaker at a position. If we had to cut him we would have only gotten a 3rd rd comp. Jets seem all in, we were in an impossible situation with an older guy who wanted paid.

Beebe is on my mock as well as Ainias Smith(best slot in this draft),but Brendan Rice offers more utility
March 30, 20241 yr Author I like this kid better than Schrader for our last pick, but I'm going with the TE below
March 30, 20241 yr Author Jerry Rice's son,but I think we take someone else where he is supposed to go and take Ainias Smith later
March 30, 20241 yr Author This kid is being under rated, I would snag him with my last pick. Currently going as UDFA but I feel he is draft worthy. He also is above average as a run blocker. Sounds like a nice #2

Lots of talent in this draft
