"My agent was on the phone

As long as you don't speak to the player directly it is not tampering, that is the rule

The GMs were technically calling his agent

Not tampering then

Cousins flat admitted to meeting with the staff in ATL at the facilities. Top FA in his class. They got busted tampering with two other players as well..Mooney and some TE. All that with certain proof…still just cost them a fifth round pick…in a future draft. Not any real deterrent.

Was more thinking year two…year three he’d be ready

Well bring in the 3 I mentioned(On my mock I have no clue where Mason Miller would go or if he can be had as a UDFA) and we have Kinnard we got from KC,who has won 3 SB's in a row just being on the team(s). So there are your BU's/future possibly and if a few suck you can grab a post draft T that was cut, so we won't know the make-up for awhile, but my draft concern is getting lanes replacement in here and with Stout, Lane as a mentor you get accelerated training,so one of those should be ready as a BU. If not you go get another guy. Howie would never allow a weak line no matter what he had to do

If you talk directly to the player that is tampering, they did that and they got busted what is the problem. I thought you had this straightened out by now. YOU CANNOT TALK DIRECTLY TO THE PLAYER. Simple as that. If you talk to the agent, he can go back and forth with the player in the room as long as he doesn't hand the phone to the player. If they do that is tampering

Lane might play the draft picks entire contract….so if he’s drafted this draft…is he Lane’s replacement even?

You ever hear of this feature on cell phones call speaker?

But like I stated…even with the player telling ok everybody straight into a microphone on camera…not just talking to a GM….but visiting the facilities and talking to the entire staff(trainer, PR….)….with being found to have tampered with two other players also….still was just a 5th round pick.

Unless he is a round 1 pick you can assume he will sit for 2 years. lanes contract is 3 and he may or many not play the 3rd year. If one emerges, then you sign them to a real contract not a rookie deal, like we did with Hurts. They need to prove they are worthy of big money

Ever hear of vid conferencing even if they aren't in the room? As long as you speak through the agent it is not tampering

And what does any of it matter? Fifth round pick for completely just blabbing the most egregious violations with three players. Whoopy Di Do

Aren’t drafting with the mindset anybody is Lane’s replacement is the obvious point. Not this draft.

Don't be surprised if a team with strong offensive line development like Baltimore, Philadelphia or Kansas City targets Belton in the middle rounds as a developmental prospect. The flashes are there of a player who could outperform his draft position substantially given time. His superior pass protection skills compared to his run blocking suggest he might adapt more quickly to the pass-heavy NFL than many of his peers.

WRONG, we need to begin looking for that player, HUGE shoes to fill and that guy will know he needs to wait his turn and possibly have a high paying job for a decade after his rook cntract expires(although you re-sign them before that)

BTW we get 30 personal visits. We used ONE of the 30 and that was on Belton,so he is the round 3 target for me. We had meetings with others, but only 1 out of 30 personal/ private visits

It doesn't matter. I care about the Iggles, not what ATL does or doesn't do

You don’t need to sell me on Belton…I’ve been championing him ever since we won the SB pretty much.

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/josh-conerly-jr-scouting-report-nfl-draft-2025/  I'm always leary about guys changing sides, but if Fangio thinks this kid can do it,then get him,if we miss we can get Belton later. He would have to fall to me at 32. I still believe we trade out of round 1 altogether, but that is just me. Howie will move up if it's his guy

He could work at RG next to Lane while he is waiting for the T spot

Perhaps we get them both Still can't find alot about Mason Miller, very weird!!!!! The future could be Conerly at T and Belton at RG

You are going to take a guy with your first pick you expect to sit on the bench for three years? What’s our Championship Window? Two or three years. Now I guess if you believe he will start at RG immediately. But that isn’t a pressing need.

That’s the only way I’d even consider it ….with this point
