But you are right, they are both(him and caff) moving higher,so I will see if there is a different viable slot WR at 161. I'm sure there is one. I also LOVE Malik Washington(Virginia). But others saw what I saw and he is out of reach even at 120. He rocketed up the boards after I "found" him LOL

Just a bunch of choices of WR this draft for sure. Who really knows?

Maybe Dallin Holker is the 161 pick,WR later. Yeah there is a slew of WR's in this draft, maybe we dip into the UDFA pool for a slot guy

I'm going to remove Smith and add Holker in at 161. He would be a terrific TE 2

I'll snag him at 211. he would be fine in the slot or sit a year and learn and make a RB a UDFA

Packers, Eagles and Commanders eyeing moving up to get Seattle’s 16 pick.(being rumored)

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2024/consensus-big-board-2024  Thats where Latu is right now. Also closer to getting Bowers

He’s a player crossed off my board. Can’t spend a first round pick on a guy that already retired due to a neck injury.

I would trade up for WR Thomas …but everything telling me Rosie only wants a guy in the trenches.

A trade up probably over a pass rusher

Dallas Turner won’t be around that long.

Just a huge swing for a player with Latu’s history

Like the other guys we get with the same history? BTW the injury was quite awhile ago and he was CLEARED and has PLAYED very well

Right no one ever comes back from injury 🤣. If we were so concerned why did we bring him in as one of the 30????? And if everyone is SO concerned why is he even ranked at all?? Kid worked hard to make it back to play the game he loves

The medicals is the number one reason to bring a guy in for extra checkups.

Does an amateur player actually " retire "   he doesn't have a career yet.    Guys stop playing,  I wouldn't call it " retire"

And we did that. Latu could go to Seattle, thus the attempt to move up

Well he was "medically retired" meaning they wouldn't let him play for them(Washington I believe). So he transferred and got a medically cleared from UCLA after gargantuan effort to come back. This was 2 years, ago and the kid has been playing at a high level since he was cleared. This wasn't last week. It was a nerve in his neck I think. Further injury to that area could have paralyzed him. So they did a fusion in his neck. Took time to heal. But this kid loved the game so much he made the comeback effort. He could have quit 2 years ago,but he kept at it. Perfect fit for our culture. I think he would have gotten hurt in the 2 years he has played now? I see him as no more injury risk than anyone else who's had an injury because it was long ago. He understands life is short and you gotta kick arse while you can. I still think he has more room to improve with professional coaching. If you don't take him, that's ok there are other guys around, but if we do,I would have NP with the choice. He still has another 9 months left before he plays anyhow,so basically 3 years as passed and he is fine and he is a beast

Anyway, with Latu if there were any real issues he would not be ranked in round 1. Of course that is not the bible, but it would seem to me he would drop out of that round. We saw jones drop into round 2. This kid would be the same if there were any outstanding issues. So not really worried about it much. And he's still a better choice than MS2 HAHAHAHA

Are any of these people creating these ranking privy to any medical evaluations with their Dr?

Evaluations are public knowledge. No doctor/patient deal I am aware of. I'm sure our med staff dealt with all that when he came in and I'm sure other teams did the same. If there wee red flags I'm sure the whole league knows by now

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laiatu_Latu So basically 2 years have gone by. Is it a risk? Possibly. Then again he is a top notch edge. Maybe another one falls we like better but we didn't have any more edge rushers in for a visit
