Nah....the RB didn't get paid because people realized they could get a decent committee for cheap.

A committee of WRs isn't as good as one stud.  The WRs are going to get paid.  Everyone is waiting for Jefferson.

It's why the Eagles could extend Dickerson by kinda setting the market,  but have to wait for Smith.

Dickerson is arguably the best G... or one of.  Smith is a level behind the guys that are due for their first big contract....Jefferson and Lamb.

Nah it's supply and demand. If they keep cranking our Marvin Harrisons there is no need to overpay one, just draft one on a 5 year rookie deal like JJ was

He can compete and probably win the RG spot in the meantime.

I suppose so,but 22 is too high for him. As I said before, if we moved back to like 30-32 or even dropped out of round 1 and got him I would be ok,but 22 is too high IMO. If you're going to do THAT,then move UP and get the better talent.

Guyton is a rare athlete for an offensive tackle. He is a former defensive end and didn't start playing offensive tackle until he got to college. That inexperience is still visible.

His strike targets to defenders' bodies are inconsistent, as is his hand placement. This has made him more of a pusher than a blocker. Still, his natural physical ability is evident.

Guyton’s foot speed and stride length for a player of his size are impressive, allowing him to mirror without overextending. He can fire off the ball quickly, giving him a good punch at contact.

But Huff can't play LB ever, even though he was one once, because he is "strictly a pass rusher"  lmao. I love the hypocrisy. What if Huff could play LB/DE and we got Latu?? No way to scheme both in on certain plays?? Rotate 3 edge guys to keep them fresher??

There is no supply of top level #1 WRs.  Game changers that require you to double team them.   It's different than RB.

How many yards did "rookie" JJ get?? If they crank out a continuous supply of those, the contracts will fall because there is no reason to pay one when you can get JJ' s in every draft

OSU alone cranks out top level WR's almost every year

Why would we put them in that situation together...unless it's in the 3-4?   We are going to use the 3-4 front....don't you think we will use that vs the run and not in obvious passing downs?

And let's be honest... those running situations are the perfect time to use one of Graham and Sweat on the edges.

You go 4 man front, that's more suited for those 2 than the 3-4.

Like you are focused on such a minimum amount... like the few screens to Goedert.

You have 60-70 plays per game usually .. you have to worry about the majority not the rare plays.

So zero concern from you over our top two edge players facing the run being on the field together as an obvious weakness?

You’re the one who posted about bringing in the undrafted player that replaced Hurts. Made no sense. I was just helping you out here.

Or Justin Jefferson will sign a shattering huge contract

If they continue to crank out Tom Brady and Mahomes... teams could just draft a QB???   There is continuous supply of elite players.

Zero... because they can't run the ball in two different places at the same time.   They cam only run it at one of them.    I don't expect Smith/ Huff combo to be out on the field with a 4 man line on running downs.     Not really a difficult concept to get is it?

I'll reverse it for you.    Are you concerned with the pass rush when Davis, Carter and Milton are out on the field together?

They run the Nickel that you are obsessed about...   Huff/ Carter/ Davis / Milton/ Smith.... white/ Maddox.... with your 2 CBs and 2 Safeties.

You so concerned with the run D of Smith and Huff at the same time.  Or more so Maddox / White?

I mean there is your nickel...because in your mind Huff is a DE and Smith is a LB... that's 2 LBs right?    For me it's the 3-4 with Smith and Huff being the edges ( the OLBs when we grew up )

Does it really matter the labels???    You can't see the obvious that it's a 3-4 in that situation?

Nickel would be Huff, Carter,(pick a DT) and Smith…..Dean and White….Ringo Slay,Maddox…..Ceedy Duce and Blank

I called them both DE in Nickel

Huff and Smith with what off ball LB cleaning up in support? Yes, you can only run in one direction at a time. But you could choose to run either direction very effectively. Not even like it’s a known weakness to be able to overplay…its both sides if they’re on the field together.

So why would I spend a draft pick on the Tennessee QB when I can get Tag as an undrafted UDFA???

Either way is fine, because you are still not spending huge amounts when you can get rookies for 4 years. Right,if there is a continuous supply of elite players in the draft, why do you need to overpay existing ones?

Doesn't matter how good(or bad) your DB players are, if in your nickel set, you give 12 yard cushions. I can throw for 7 yards all day. This was the BS we did last year on 3rd and 6 plays
