And he is the starting RG for sure now?

Same idea practically being floated around as a MUST for this draft. A college T that can play G.

Steen has the similar problem to much of this T draft class…short arms smaller hands.

Just a body as far as I can tell. He's 31, coming off an MCL, only 16 TD's in 9 yrs

TE isn’t a position that it would be real difficult to make the team at. One injury and he’s practically automatic. Still have the draft and other avenues to add to the team. Feels a little forced as a smokescreen.

He did well with Burrow then stunk with Zach Wilson and the Jets…worth giving a grizzled vet a shot. Larger move if it’s the last significant signing at the position.

I’d think Uzomah comes straight in as the number two TE. ST core player.

Goedert, Uzomah and Calcattarra…I’m fine with that TE room.

Plenty in round 2. Doesn't matter to me either way, just seems like a waste to get a round 1 when you have more pressing holes to fill. Unless Lane is retiring next year it's a REACH at 22. If you want to move back to 32 then do that because other than the top 2 there isnt alot of talent difference to warrant a reach at 22

Calcaterra has proven nothing. He's hurt all the time. Id' be fine if he hit the bricks

Who said it was a MUST with our first pick besides you? I would be fine at 32 and more picks, but not at 22

The biggest question for Mims might be his durability and dependability early on in his career. He has just eight career starts to his name. In 2023, he missed several weeks due to an ankle injury requiring tightrope surgery and was rarely 100% on the field.

That said, if teams clear Mims medically, there’s little stopping him from going early in the 2024 NFL Draft. He’s an elite physical talent who’s still just 21 years old, checks boxes off the field, has left-right versatility, and already has traits like leverage acquisition and processing on his side.

Though Mims may need a larger acclimation period at the next level, his complete pallet of traits will allow him a larger margin for error as he gets started. In time, he can develop into an impact starter at either tackle spot.

I would be ok with Mims at 32 maybe 30 tops. He is hurt alot for one thing which you seem to hold against Latu. He's very rough, which is ok since we have time to work with him, but for me 22 is too high. The ones higher than him would require a move UP and losing draft capital in a stacked draft. not real smart

It isn’t a must at any of those levels…just took Steen in the third last draft. Already has a year under Stout adjusting.

Most of that was with the gals. The Jets can't find a QB so he cannot prosper with trash behind center. I like the pick-up. Not enough to avoid drafting another one this draft. he should give us a solid TE2 receiving option,so this was a decent move

I still think we take one,it's a nice T class for teams who can hold and develop them, which is where we are,so I'm all for taking one for more competition. Maybe the new guy starts at RG immediately who knows? And we are putting all our chips on Jurgens being able to replace Kelce if we go T/G and not C/G

Agreed. Still I draft one and lose Calc,or at least have a camp competition. We're spending too much time coddling calc. he needs to show up now

He needs a QB that can locate him. That's Hurts issue he sees only 1 read not the other 3. Hurts was progressing in that area, then stalled and went backwards last year. Needs to go back to progressing not regressing seeing the receivers. Actually now it's 5 reads that need to be made as bark is a receiving weapon also

Don't we also have OG(or whatever) the TE we got from Denver?

Yeah we have him in the room and the TE from Georgia tech also(Jenkins)

So with those 5(now) we can get a later round TE that has talent but needs work like Spann-Ford

Adding UZO(lol) and Parker and Paris makes me think we are indeed setting up for a line and secondary draft with RB,WR and TE on the back burners

  • Author

OT/G, edge,DT,secondary(also including LB) at the forefront would suit me fine. if those are the first 4 picks(in any order) I would be happy with that
