I guess ultimately the defense started slow, was missing our best player (who impacts the rush and therefore helps on the back end) and yet managed to get things together in the second half and held Dallas to 20 points. If we can hold most teams to 20 points we should win most games.

Can also say that Vic allowed favorable matchups by allowing the other CB(Bennett and Adoree) to get matched up with CeeDee in the first place…. Seemed like a pretty simple adjustment to just have Q shadow him on the outside…. Dejean could handle in the slot

One possibility is that he wanted to give Adoree a baptism by fire in order to see how he responded.

A second question for Vic would be, "Why did the DB coaches trot out a scheme where both the CBs were lining up so far off the LOS, giving the Cowboys WRs such a huge cushion?”

Just like there was no response to the first question. The only response was basically calling me dumb for not knowing what the glaring obvious issue was. I am still in a futile pursuit of that answer which appears not to be forthcoming. I will have to now place my question in the Eagles shredder since it will never be answered. This is what i was trying to explain last year....Baltimore also gave up a huge lead vs Miami.

The Eagles limit possessions by controlling the ball. Even while " struggling" Thursday...look at the results... how they ate up clock!

It's simple math... you limit the possessions by your opponent and they can't come back.

But also why I remain annoyed at the clock management and the rush to score at the end of the half.

The GM gave him the option of Adooree if Ringo didn’t work out. There is some form of collaboration going on. Does Siri get a voice too? Obviously Rosie and Vic collaborate about the roster.

Now…we now know they worked out trading for Bennett though also. Would assume that would more likely be Vic’s guy. GM guy or DC guy? A point might have been needed to play out about Adorre though…feels likely actually.

You need to get two quality CBs and an all world pass rusher.. then you can shut people down... just ask Pittsburgh.
