At the time I thought it was the smart move.3rd = TD4th = punt after a pass play, complete pass on 3rd and 8 but short of the first down 5th = they ran out the clock. Basically set up by having KC use all their timeouts before getting the ball back. The 8+ yard run by Barkley set up two tush push scenario to win the game.Absolutely handled correctlyLast week ... an 8 yard pass to AJ setup the short run ro ice the game. Idk if that is too conservative? Using the pass to ice the game....and when I was expecting a run on 3rd and 8, up by 10 and to force KC to call their last time out. . We passed it... just happened to check it down for a 6 yard gain. That's a KC defense at Arrowhead... still passed to try to get that 1st down. Both games AJ and Barkley setup the easy conversion to ice the game by running the clock out. How many times, especially in the 14 years we had the coach we just beat 3 times in a row... twice at Arrowhead and the butt whipping we gave him in the Superbowl... did we fail to run out the clock? It took a BS penalty on Campbell followed by a long TD pass where Q got beat in order to make it even close at the end.
September 15, 2025Sep 15 Chris Jones....." you didn't even have a hundred yards " Jalen Hurts as he takes the snap to kneel..." we won the F@##ing game, shut your @$$ up!"
September 15, 2025Sep 15 That's going to stew a little bit as we shouldn't have to play the Chiefs until 2027.... at the Linc. As I said .. if there is any mystique left for KC... there absolutely isn't any when it comes to having it over the Eagles. A slippery field away from beating them the last 4 meetings.. none of them at the Linc. Siri owns Andy! To the anal, fast food eating fans that don't understand the competitive nature of my Italian culture...and it bothers them when our coach doesn't just sit back and take abuse from fans.. STFU.. this is a reason why Siri owns Andy and sets the culture to where Hurts responds to Jones right away. The passion is more important than trying to make a simple game rocket science.

Watch how they allow us to false start a few more obvious times, just to make it seem like they can't see it in real time.Im on board with you with the league wanting to get rid of it. I think this is how they do itPutting in Hawkeye systems makes no sense - it depends on cameras. How are cameras going to see through bodies in any pile, not just the tush push? Putting a chip inside the ball is the way, that's why the NFL went with the other.

If we run it in 4 scenarios... but take 6 plays to get 4 first downs/ scores...then to me it works every time. Because if I was on defense, I would feel like we didn't stop it.It's still effective but like all plays teams are trying to find different strategies to stop itEventually someone will crack the code

The "tougher" passing down. The smart play is to hand off to Barkley(especially if AJ can't cut). Various scenarios doing that. 1) They stuff him at the line for no gain and you punt. 2) Barkley breaks one for a first down(which is entirely feasible) 3) Bark gains some yardage which puts the punter closer and into position to drop a kick inside the 10(with coverage) putting your opponent in worse field position(meaning they have to expend more energy going farther or making tough plays). While I love a good long bomb play, if you need to cover up your star WR isn't 100%, this is win/win and smart football. If you can nail your opponent at the 5 yard line you cut off 1/2 their playboo0k(easier to defend). In any case the pros are pros, they make the calls. While is bugs me to no end that the passing game isn't really doing alot,it's enough to win games which is why we play them. At 2-0 I can bish alot(and I might) but 2 W's looks like 2 W's with no style points added. The offense makes key plays. I find it a bit comical we are winning without any stat lines. It's a testament to how smart this team plays. Win while not expending much energy, win without putting your star players at risk of injury. The tush push could be banned after this year, but this year isn't the year. Use the tools you have to win the game. At 2-0 no one can argue. Ugly wins still count LOL. You can't win every snap of every game. Just win more than your opponent does. Making those late first downs(no matter how ugly they look) are key to not giving the ball back with time left on the clock. Deny them that when you are leading, and we've been doing that. 4 tush pushes is only 4 yards of offense, but WHAT a 4 yards those are. Let Patullo get better(he will). Watching is great, but having your hands on the "project" still takes time. He will improve. Goedert makes a big difference, not having him changes things and why those TE's are difficult to locate. Also why we re-signed Goedert because there are not many on the horizon that can do what he does. In College they are failing to teach blocking skills to TE's. They are mainly catching ones due to the college game being different. If colleges lose their star WR's they turn to their TE's to catch, but fail to teach them the other 1/2 of being a top TE. So what the pro's are facing are having to find TE's they feel can be trained in the part of the game they never learned. Also why Howie stuck with bringing in older school TE's that maybe already had some exposure to blocking. The drafted TE's are just extra receivers untrained in blocking technique. Been that way for a little while now. Probably have to look at smaller school TE's that have training in both areas and coach them up rather than rely on high draft picks. The 4 yard catch by AJ was just awesome!!!! No stats, but a huge first down

The passion is more important than trying to make a simple game rocket science. In KC defense, their top WR's were out. I believe we still have secondary issues. Lamb is an excellent WR, but Dak is not Mahomes. Mahomes needs those top tier WR's as their running game is suspect. I used to drag race, things are not always perfect, you have to "run what ya brung". Your opponent in drag racing doesn't care what issues you have. Mahomes was disadvantaged, but you have to take advantage of those when you can, because your opponent will. "No mercy" Only mercy is when you have them beat and you stop short of scoring again as to not "rub it in" Hurts reply to Jones was gold!!!!! As I watched the game, they flashed to AR, who looked more worried than adept LOL

That's why we pay him, not because he is a QB per se, but that's his "title". He makes the small throws that move the chains with an occaisional deep ball. So if this new system is implemented,I guess "move the chains" will become only a memory lol. The team loves Hurts.
