I believe sometimes is best to do something different.....so then you realize why you do what you normally do. This offense thrives with 25 or less pass attempts. Regardless of how the run numbers look... it's just a formula that puts up points and wins games for us.

I thought we would/could have broken things up using Ship. At least give them something to think about. He had 1 play all day. Just so many mistakes and then the reffing wasn't very good either

Smitty was moved into the Slot to make a couple of those plays. Had Dotson just step on the line making that catch.

The positive is working it out now of getting in the same page with as much as possible this season. We aren’t running the ball worth a crap outside of Hurts either.

I was real interested in what would have been the play and occurred if they didn’t swallow the whistle on PI Goedert..at the end. Would have been at the 3.

We haven’t been seeming to utilize much Motion…but the time to use it decided was as the clock was running out?

He thought Barkley needed to get more carries for Philadelphia to close out the game." See? Siri does NOT call the plays. But as the HC he should have sounded this alarm IN game, not after JMO

At least Ham is admitting one of his boys is a problem. Not much we can do with Ringo wait for Adoree to get healthy unless we make a trade to replace both.

The passing game which we FINALLY saw should have opened up the running game which was all but abandoned when we need it most(with a 21-3 lead into the 4th). Hurts hit on it. There is a difference from being conservative, to being mediocre. IMO if you "execute" conservative(aka vanilla plays) you will be ok, If you can't you are mediocre and are no longer dominant and subject to being overtaken. Even the 4 wins were sloppy, ugly with some defense and luck added in. As I said IMO(which accounts for nothing except my opinion) The time to bish about the play calling was TO PATULLO DURING THE GAME and ask him "where did the run plays go?". Post game is not the time to ask these questions. Besides the O not functioning in the 4th, Fangio's D gave up the lead too. Or at least this time his D couldn't bail us like other games with blocks and scoop and scores. I said not to rely on those. Eve the mighty Q got burned. When we all(and the players and fans) clamored for a passing game, it wasn't with the idea of abandoning the run game, it was supposed to be in ADDITION to it. But facts are the running game is not the same. It was average and adding even an "average" passing game would compliment it. Passing helped get us the 21-3 lead. I will assume Patullo figured that would continue all game. But if you don't execute you are punting and not killing off the clock. Patullo needs to learn to adjust on the fly. It's very difficult to do and very few master it. Sean Peyton is one of those masters. It took him 3 1/4's but he found his answer. I will tell you a short story next

When I played at TE, our team was getting beat up by a lesser squad. We knew we were better, but on the field we weren't. The coach didn't say much, didn't need to, just watched and studied. We were all busting hard but getting beat anyhow. About midway through the 3rd 1/4 he called a full time out. e said to us all "OK from now on when you lie up I want everyone to line up 4 inches more to your right" We kind of looked at each other like WTH are you talking about? But coach is coach,so you do it. What that did that we were unaware of, was give us the leverage we were missing. That 4 inches gave us the angles we needed. it made all the difference, we smoked them from then on and won the game. Instead of our line(and me) being "stood up straight" we now had the should angle for the leverage. It was really amazing to us all that 4 mere inches made all the difference. The other team didn't catch what we changed because it wasn't obvious, but it's what changed the game. Now I am not saying 4 inches will help us(or maybe it could) but those tiny tiny changes can make all the difference. We have a quick turn now and Patullo doesn't have alot of time to adjust here. Maybe he tried, but we didn't/couldn't respond. I mean some days nothing works. The passing game was working, up until the time it didn't . You have to know what to do when that happens. I'm not mad we passed more. I wanted to see that, but there needs to be a nice mix throughout the game not 1 sided either way. Then at the end you want to put your foot on their neck and snuff out their lights(that would require a running game). Along with penalties and a few bad ref calls tossed in we couldn't get it done. Now the run game will be called into question. This O line needs to be fixed and dominate again. Bad day yesterday, but we have to regroup, move on figure out what went wrong(which was everything LOL) Barks needs a break out game and I hope he has one and I see no reason the passing game can't do well and I want to see a mix of both. We should be able to win that one easily. But never say never, the Pats took down Buffalo in their house too. Rant over
