in all seriousness, the entire team seemed to pull their collective heads out of their arses and started playing and coaching better. this week should show us if the 2nd half is what we could expect going forward.

tampa is a huge monkey on the eagles back, winning sunday would be big.

They want us in a bad way. It's going to be a tough, good game

I’m not going to prejudge Ringo prior to him getting on the field and either succeeding or failing. What I think is really irrelevant. What he does is what matters. So far, the opportunity for him to go out on the field in a meaningful game has not happened. So I am holding my water on him until that actually does happen.

Once again it would be helpful if Evans or Godwin are out or even if they are not 100%. So far I believe Godwin will play. Evans is their star and he isn't looking good to play, but still early. Egbuka is breaking out, he will be hard to handle. Mayfield can run although he doesn't like to, so setting the edge and getting pressure on him will be a big deal for us. If we can get them in 3rd and longs we can blitz sometimes, but they have 2 capable RB's. It's going to be a trench war chess match we need to win

• Evans injured his hamstring in the Bucs' Week 3 win over the Jets, and is going to be out multiple weeks, according to several media reports. In the Eagles' loss to the Bucs last season, Evans had 8 catches for 94 yards and a TD. He'll be out, it appears.

• Godwin suffered an ankle injury that required surgery and cost him the last half of the 2024 season. He had a great start to the 2024 season, making 50 catches for 576 yards and five TDs in the Bucs' first seven games before he went down. He was a full participant, so he's almost certainly going to make his 2025 debut on Sunday. Godwin had 6 catches for 69 yards in the Bucs' win over the Eagles last year.

I doubt they will risk Evans for this game. Godwin was a FP but this will be his first game appearance in a year. Egbuka will be the go to guy,we need to stop him

I would also be looking for screens to White

Yeah...as soon as Pryor was taken out and the offense could actually function.

I disagree. Tampa is irrelevant. They beat us with half our offense missing last year. In 2023 we wouldn't have beaten a college team in the playoffs. The one game with AJ we won. Context matters. The one fair fight we won. The rest of the time we didn't have any weapons.

I will be looking at their run game. We need to stop that.

So you think the mstchups were anywhere close to even when we played Tampa?

You think we should have won without both starting WRs and Lane? We should put up monster points in that situation?

well, tampa is hurting this year so it won't be fair again, right? they will have the same excuses.

the fact is tampa is a team the eagles want to prove they can beat and yes, part of it is the eagles probably feel they shouldve won a couple of those games.

Didn't they just beat them 2 years ago...pretty easily? When we actually had receivers they couldn't just press then load the box?

I’d like to see us come out attacking TB aggressively this week take a deep shot to start the game target AJ early and often…. Try and open up some of those running lanes for Saquon by forcing TB drop more guys in coverage not able to stack the box

Todd Bowles has the answers....yeah...man press the weak receivers and then load the box sending 6 every time. That didn't work when AJ played. So now there is actually going to be a fair fight. Not just one strategy.... stop Hurts from running right. Bowles actually has to stop a whole offense now.

Id ve surprised if we don't put up 30. Only thing that would counter everything is if Tampa can run the ball. If we can contain that, I can't see how we lose.

If they single cover AJ...he should have a huge day...but I think the mismatch is going to be Smith vs their weaker cover guys.

they are 1-4 against tampa with hurts, but you don't think the eagles have a chip on their shoulder about the bucs?

JFC you even pointed out some big reasons why🤣

Again... Hurts who did Hurts have? They pressed the WRs...best guy on Smith when he played... and rushed 6 all game.

With AJ they have not beaten us ..we scored 25 points in the rain and took the foot off the gas.

Completely different situation. The team is more than Hurts. Was your account hacked by Ham?

All their backs were against the wall. Awareness of that reality was not known solely by Hurts. They responded to that reality as a team … a team that coalesced and collaborated.

Regarding "leading” the Defense, how was he able to do that? When they were on the field he wasn’t. When he was on the field they weren’t. They were effectively ships passing in the night. The leadership of the D came from Fangio up in the Booth, and the Defensive players down on the sidelines.

Fangio isn’t on the field and you acknowledge lead. Leadership comes in many forms that aren’t revolving around throwing a football. The one thing even BG shared with our opponents before….with Hurts…our guys believe we can…no…WILL get it done.
