Yeah... watching the game it was all Toth...lol.

Just kidding ... but I will say... using a 6th OL...Fred Johnson, was a great way to counter the defense putting extra men on the line.

Or... maybe they made that one block that Mailata was talking about?

Or.. maybe it was the Giants?

I think the quote below is pretty accurate.

I think its pretty clear that the biggest issues in the run game were jurgens and dickerson, O said so after week 2, they were both playing on one leg and playing horribly, I dont think its coincidence that Jurgens bring out and dickerson having his best game led to a resurgence in the run game

People looked early to point the finger at steen because he wasnt Becton but steen has been fine, the main problems were 1 one legged jurgens and 1 legged Dickerson.

Hopefully both can get and stay healthy and this O line can be dominant.

Dotson also made his point as to why we brought him in. He's a keeper. I know Hurts misses Wilson. Hope we can get him back late in the season. Calc seems like a solid BU for Goedert also. Baun-great player with the culture we want. I hope Howie signs him again and I also hope Howie tries to woo Becton back. I feel bad for Skattebo. I'm supposed to hate him because he is opposition, but I just can't. He brought so much hope to a bad franchise who desperately needed it. Hope the kid recovers

Idk... at 52 years old I don't really hate anyone. The 7 year old version of me probably hated players from other teams, at some point though you understand sports isn't life or death and the opponent is a necessity to have in a contest. Otherwise what is the point?

He definitely had a nice week. Better than nice. However, it wasn’t just Ham having problems with Toth’s snaps in Training Camp. The concern about Toth at Center was wide spread. It is history though now.

The concern about Toth at Guard was equally real and very recent.

Yeah... the Sixers rookie VJ Edgecomb... had 34 points game 1... the 3rd highest in the HISTORY of the league... Wilt had 40 and some other guy had more....3rd highest EVER.

But he was 3 for 6 from the foul line. You had idiots concerned about that, just like a few snaps in one practice last summer.

OMG these guys can't have a bad snap or missed foul shot ever. One game, certainly one practice...should not define any young player.

Our Eagles fan base tends to be a little obsessive and dramatic... Toth's 3 bad snaps on July 27th 2024 being a great exanple.

Agree....the combo of Steen just being solid but not a player that can physically dominate the other guy....and the limitations of Jurgens and Dickerson ...that was absolutely the biggest factor IMO.

As the defenses get better... Will be nice to get these guys healthy. When we run the ball well, we are extremely difficult to beat, being the style that Hurts plays where he avoids the stupid plays and adds the QB runs in ... very difficult to beat indeed.

Really... two easy mistakes from Hurts and they put up 31 vs the Giants the first time too.

Denver is probably the best defense in the league.

So let's relax and enjoy....we have some great matchups coming up. Lots of fun ahead. Enjoy the battles and the process.

We have all seen some bad football or hopeless seasons... enjoy this time.

Then how did we get blown out 2 weeks ago?

Ham was obsessed last summer about a few bad snaps at camp from Toth. Once he gets that way he never stops....Toth was always labeled a failure.

Dude had a nice week...that's all you want from backups, the ability to step in on a temp basis and allow the team to function.

I see it as a strong testament of what a quality coach can get done.

Toth been a complete disaster for three straight TC trying to learn how to play C. Guy is a hard worker…will do whatever coaches ask of him. So I see why it’s fairly easy for coaches to place some trust in him.

We should have some better C option though in my mind. It forced our O to rely on being under C so much more.

This can so easliy become a real roadblock to success. Depending on game situations.

I’ve never been down on him. And I trust Stoutland explicitly.

Just saying Toth is not as bad a player as we thought he might be. He did very well at a tough position

I have to give full credit to Toth. I’ve been very down on him as not good enough. I love a quality character guy that will do whatever and work hard…that’s coachable. Testament to him about all that and our coaches that got him so far.

Weren’t we just have a discussion about the talent of players supposedly trumping everything else? But you have Toth just being a hard worker that great coaching developed into servicabie.

That worked out pretty well, didn't it?

Ham may want to think twice about his under C assessment … an take in this info from IgglesBlitz.com regarding snaps under center vs. in the shotgun, Jordan Mailata, has been lobbying for this version of the run game for a while now (more under-center, please!), and couldn’t have been happier with the results.

"Yeah, 100 percent,” he said after the Giants game regarding the change in attitude of the offense when Johnson is on the field. "But sometimes, also, you have to be smart because now you know there are plays where we can throw it with Fred in. So you can’t be as physical.

"You’ve got to be a little bit more patient with your hands and sit back a little bit, because you know it’s a play-action. And especially in that second half, you kind of have to, I don’t want to say passive, but you just have to be more smart and more patient with your hands because if you know it’s a pass, you don’t need to go kill somebody. You don’t need to be all-out run attack because we’re now trying to see if they’re blitzing people because they’ve got to make adjustments too.

"And I think we did a great job of that.”

Fangio confirming it never was his idea to get DeJean reps outside all along.

McCreary to the Rams…so we probably just drove up the price some on him potentially

We're all SICK SICK SICK of your "quality coach" BULLSHEET. Just STOP IT. It's disgusting and degrading MY TEAM. Go troll the KC boards where your hero AR is and I will continue to root for Siri and my Eagles while we all understand your boy's DROP helped cost us our first SB. Did we change coaches in the last 2 weeks?

The Eagles are very patient. Moreso than I am. I remember a few years ago I was wondering why they kept a player around who didn't even know the game. That guy was Mailata LOL(scraping egg off face)

From Bob Brookover on NJ.com

Cornerback is definitely the biggest need, but even Kelee Ringo is coming off his best performance of the season after returning to the starting lineup in place of the injured Adoree’ Jackson. According to PFF, Ringo was targeted three times by the Giants’ Jaxson Dart and he did not allow a reception. Ringo’s 78.9 PFF grade for the week was the best among the team’s defensive players.

IDK our CB2's can shine at times, then give up big plays. We need consistency. It's hard to get as the various #2 receivers all present different challenges. They can stick to 1 guy like glue, then get beat by a tall possession WR. It's the same for all teams. Very difficult to find guys that can "do it all" Q is one of those
