Hurts has a lot to prove this year everything is pointing toward us adopting a Mcvay/Shanahan style O under Mannion.

Timing throws, over the middle, anticipation all things Hurts isn’t known to do well.

This really seems like the deciding year as to whether we extend Hurts or move on from him

Agreed. We've all pretty much said this is the year to prove Hurts is a QB. He used to be a RB who could throw, but he gave up the RB part. Imagine if Barkley said "I don't want to be hit this year" LOL

Fields doesn't get out of round 2 if he has a good combine

Lots of WR's before him, he can drop. This was a PFF mock and he was available there so I took him. The RB I wasn't planning on ,but he was a steal

It's the same every year. NO ONE is going to be there when you pick LOL

Timing throws, concentrating on footwork, actual scheme thinking…sounds great!

But we just don’t have much of an idea how much our new OC will have power over things. Sounded like Siri is looking to get some fresh ideas added to his O.

BTW taking Brailsford who could be a LG if Dickerson is out(or as a decent RG BU prospect) next to Proctor if Brailsford wins the RG start over DJ Campbell would be good since they played together at Bama, plus he is already a C if we need a BU there. Just trying logic here

6 years in. It's about time Hurts learns to play QB. Still under Joe and my bar. I thought he was there in '24,but the quitter wouldn't play to his potential. Now his is exposed. Live or die, sink or swim. There won't be any coddling now. It's put up or go away time. Hurts should be top 5 not ranked 19th(which is about right)

Some nice prospects we won't get to see. The cincy WR is intriguing as well as the 2 guys from the national champs(that's a horrible snub) Love to grab Black as a UDFA or even draft him at 201

I'm not so much worried about all the other bs. Read the field and make the throw. That's it.

Every other organization prioritizes developing and building around their Franchise QB. Just imagine if we ever did that?

Yea best OL in football most of his career one of the best WR tandems in the league over the last 4 seasons, elite RB, top 5 D….

Ma image any other QB getting that kind of organizational backing

6 years in and Hurts still struggles reading the field

Exactly what Howie did????? Hurts is a Yugo and has had Rolls Royce team members and he QUIT on them. Howie wasted all that investment in money and draft capital for a QUITTER QB. Hurts can fix it now (or not) and now it's his butt on the line, not everyone elses that carried him

Ham is excited for "footwork"(LMAO). After 6 years this should not be an issue at all unless they have a special EZ dance working. I have an idea, maybe Hurts can run on broken plays. He won't though because he is a sell out. 3 yards OOB when you needed 6. No boo boo's for Houdini Hurts

BTW the trade for AJ to Buffalo is picking up steam. Only rumors at this point

Btw..locally....no trade of AJ is picking up any steam.

Plus they cater the offense to a more run heavy, protect the ball type of offense rather than an open it up to throw it. That's absolutely catering to the QB.

Joey Bosa is a FA I would look at. While not elite he could help us on the edge

I know Schefter came out pretty early in the process said we would be unlikely to trade AJ for anything less than a 1st…. Then reports now saying we haven’t even been talking with teams at the combine about trading AJ.

Also recent interviews with AJ on Micah podcast showing that he looks fairly happy and excited about the new coaching changes

Looking at free agents CBs have Greg Newsome and Martin Emerson available. Both played for Cleveland before Emerson won out and Browns traded Newsome to the Jags.

Both are young guys only 25 can be long term piece instead our secondary with Q and Dejean. Maybe getting a bit ahead of myself but they both also played for Schwartz if that’s the route we go after Vic retires

Patullo leaving to become Miami passing game coordinator - guess they don't watch the Eagles in Miami.

Maybe in Miami they understand the QB is the issue. They had the guy that was our guy's replacement down there.

I think we all agree even if Lane plays his time is coming to an end and a replacement needs to be in the building Most are also on the Chris Johnson train at pick 2. I go back and forth. I love the kid but I also like the value Malik Muhammed offers at a later pick. All individual preferences. Alot depends on Dickerson, AJ and if we are going to hang with Goedert for now(some mocks have Sadiq at 23)
