April 12Apr 12 How many others reported on AJ trade situation? Could be a key factor…at least hundreds.

April 12Apr 12 Schraeger talked with RJ Ochoa of the Blogging the Boys site about Downs and the Cowboys, and pointed out that safeties have a tendency to drop in the draft because they’re not considered a vital position. Kyle Hamilton, Derwin James and Nick Emmanwori are all stars, but all three slid in their respective drafts, because they’re safeties.

April 12Apr 12 LSU WR Chris Hilton Jr interests me very much as well. Vertical threat that missed all of last season due to injury.

The gist of my point is Howie collects players that aren't PS bound and he will trade them later if a deal arises. At this point my feelings are AJ is gone. The WR's we have are fine. Trading AJ would mean Moore could also stay, but if there is a deal to be had Howie will trade him. he didn't cost alot. All this doesn't make me feel we ignore WR's in the draft, but a nice project guy that isn't playing year 1 like Stribling. If AJ goes and even if we keep Moore(because as you said he is paid for with a contract) I'm still grabbing a late one to keep the chain going. Signing Moore and Hollywood 2 1 years and Wicks to 2 staggers the contractual need at WR. Of course we will pay Smitty, but lots of flexibility on the others so all contracts aren't due at once. No matter what happens with AJ I am still taking a WR if he's a good guy. ASmith was a kid I had high hopes for,but he never panned. Maybe Stribling will, but the slot is covered regardless and I'm hoping to mix them all up, even outside at times to make defenses have to adjust in game. Be nice to allow Smitty to sit out a series to keep him fresh. if AJ stays that doesn't change anything for me as far as grabbi9bg Stribling(or another WR of choice) late. It's a nice WR draft IMO but a very good draft for O line and D line. TE is very weak but I believe we take a late one of those also. 93 find of Rousch is very good. I think he's a guy worth adding for the following year. JMO OT will be first, we've put off finding Lanes heir long enough, edge IMO would be pick 2,then it's BPA which could include another lineman or a more "electric" RB to replace Shipley who hasn't really done anything for me to this point. I would like to see Tank and Bark succeed more,so adding RB late is also on my list but all that matters is what's on Howies list.

I would make him a high priority UDFA or maybe a 7th if we can pick one of those up along the draft path
April 12Apr 12 Author 8 hours ago, joemas6 said:Can't let go of the shovel!Smitty was a horrible pick up, he should be cut. All those other "failed" WR's Howie brought in all have 1 thing in common. The QB's refusal to look for them, but let's blame those horrendous WR's. Jebus, it's so bad we brought Quez back and retained Wilson all through his injury. Dotson was clearly a whiff. He should have had 800 yards per year getting 1-2 targets per game. C'mon Howie, you SUCK!!!. Hollywood and Moore are more obvious failures (although they haven't played a snap in midnight green) We're also certain to whiff on a late WR who hasn't played an NFL snap yet. It's obvious our O staff is terrible since they have never called a play in PHILLY. I mean my god, we're going 3-14 and we need to go to TB and buy their old creamsicle unis. The entire team needs to sleep with Russini, so they too can be on par with Vrabel. Maybe we can add her to the payroll with the physical therapy staff. As a fan for 55 years, I should know by now this team will suck before they hit the field because I am enrolled at Hamityville U. I'm so depressed now I will put my head in a vice and force myself to watch taping my eyelids to my forehead. DOOOOOOOOOOMED
April 12Apr 12 Author 🤣 Now that I got that out of my system....................I believe Iheanchor or Miller(I prefer Iheanachor) will be the pick and lo and behold, depending on how the draft goes we could actually move back a bit and still land him. This would get some pick(s) back even a late one where we could grab that CB from Toledo. We know Howie will move for the guys on his board. Maybe we move up for an even better OT, but I think with a year to sit Iheanchor would do just fine. I love watching Howie work. He's the master ever since he took it upon himself to become a "football guy". Kudos. I like people that self examine themselves, understand their weaknesses and go out and DO something about it. Now Howie has learned about D picks and broke history with Q and DeJean. Every year Howie adds to his player knowledge. It also seems he put his ego aside and takes advice from others. The ego left and the picks and trades have been stellar for many years straight. Is he perfect, no of course not, but my respect for him is at an all time high. He fixed his weaknesses. We are lucky to have the best GM in the league.
April 12Apr 12 62 wins (3rd most in NFL since 2021). He's accounted for 185 touchdowns (3rd most since 2021), however he gets the touchdowns, I don't care for the people at home whether they like it or not, and he's top ten in passing yards (8th with 18,811 yards).

April 12Apr 12 Author Just for the record, besdies Stribling, I also like Caldwell at WR from cincy. Caldwell is 6'5" and had the second best combine 40 time. Definitely a mismatch defenses would need to account for. So I personally would like one of those 2 added to the WR room
