April 14Apr 14 Author So, I will be off the board awhile, because it's no longer fun being here. Later(much later) HF

Quite a payout for a guy that hasn't proven a thing. Correct....it's quite the payout... so they are going to give him the ball in 2026.... because it was quite the payout. Would be odd to give away a good pick for another guy right now wouldn't it?
April 15Apr 15 14 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:So you are totally ruling out McKee being traded in the draft? Nice to know you have deleted other possibilities when if fact you have no idea what offers will come in... lolNot ruling out any trade... not desperate for one either. For 3 years now I've seen multiple people on this board obsess about a McKee trade. I don't get it. If it happens it happens. Otherwise you keep a dirt cheap backup ( at an expensive position) until the end of that cheap rookie contract and then you get a comp pick. Seems like good business unless you are blown away with a trade offer. AJ Feeley comes to mind as the last " backup " QB that was spun for purposes of a draft pick... 20 plus years ago. Not sure why McKee is a player that everyone puts so much work into desperately finding a trade partner for?
April 15Apr 15 As BG says.... the best trading partner for McKee...is a team that gets an injury to their current guy. That's when an offer should be higher in value. Otherwise, if I get another year with McKee on the roster and contributing in the weekly preparation and then get a 4th or 5th round comp pick later...im ok with that. He has been a great asset to the salary cap being around for so cheap. One more year of that would be great if that's how it plays out.
April 15Apr 15 @cunninghamtheman question, will hurts' sheer will to win be enough to compensate for his declining play this upcoming season? or will we see a repeat of the last year?

Reports earlier in the offseason stated our asking price was a 2nd round pick for McKee.Always asking price should be high. Never below what you are trying to actually receive.

Even as QB2 in Miami it gives him(McKee) more of a chance to step in than he has here. At the end of the year McKee isn't worth anything unless we sign him againCompensatory pick when he leaves

Our team won’t even suffer by losing him.

I am assuming AJ gets traded, getting a round1 next draft plus another pick in the '27 draft ,therefore the move up for Bisontis with that pick, while retaining the extra round 1 pick. Much research went into this, take it, leave it, no matter

Much research went into this, take it, leave it, no matterWith this, future O line looks good, 2 new edge rushers to work with, Kilgore can be a S or whatever you need him to be,very versatile, Stribling is a nice WR to develop,Allen can maybe take the RB3 from Shipley, I don't see why not, plus you have Jam Miller on the PS,Domani Jackson could be a very nice CB2 in a year, same with Boerkircher. The UDFA's all have talent to bring out with a solid devlopmental guy in Ball. Styles can become a useable player at LB with some effort. Payton is a nice QB to work on although it's possible he gets drafted before the end(so take someone else there). Fly Eagles Fly
April 16Apr 16 Author BTW Ertz would like to return to Philly, even if it's one day to retire as an Eagle. If he would play on the cheap, why not bring him back as a depth TE? He is older now, but could still be a fill in for us

Needs to see how the draft plays out if we address TE2 spot not sure Ertz would have much of a role and I’m sure he wants some type of playing time. Now if we miss out on TE in the draft could we want an upgrade over Calc that’s a real possibility and even older Ertz is likely the better receiver and better blocker.

Can’t even imagine a scenario Goedert suits up for every game this season.

Can’t even imagine a scenario Goedert suits up for every game this season.Which could easily be a scenario Rosie has been absolutely masterfully handling our TE starting situation this whole time. Fans and media every offseason pumping the need for Goedert replacement. Mostly drafting long term replacement…but several vet trade options been floated as well. Goedert just looking to do what’s best for him and his family. Along with just wanting to feel the love and appreciation from his team. He’s made good money….but been an opportunity that possibly could have popped up for him to stroked some massive payday. Just good business. Always seemed like if it was up to him? He’d be a lifetime Eagles. He’s one of goofy…not the personality exactly fits right in with most of these pro athletes. Definitely not having the looks to become some franchise poster boy. He has the intangibles in abundance should be looking for however. Of course those alone? Not enough….means so much because it comes along with all his talent.
April 17Apr 17 Rosie has an excellent read outsiders just couldn’t posses with Goedert. He genuinely isn’t looking to screw Goedert. Understands the situation. Let Goedert have the freedom to shop around. Most likely agreeing on Goedert would report to Rosie the contract offer to at least get the opportunity to counter it attempting to retain a valued player.
April 17Apr 17 That’s how I’ve been reading things. Rosie giving Goedert all the respect. Essentially letting Goedert know he’s a valued piece of the organization….but business financials surrounding NFL cap are the restraint. Pretty much saying he believes Goedert is worth more than we can afford to offer.
