I doubt we would trade Hurts this year, although I suppose anything is possible. We would need to sign McKee right after the end of the season. IDK if there is any lee time? is there like a grace period or does his contract end on the last snap of the year? I never really thought about it before

We won’t trade Hurts this season was just a fun scenario to think about…. As for McKee would only have had to resign him if he played well if not we let him walk draft a guy in 2027.

As for the contract he would be with us until the start of free agency and team are able to talk with players so march.

So the grace period would be final snap of the season until the start of free agency

Cool, thanks. I'm not a pro on contractual stuff. McKee's last outing wasn't all that great although he did shine on other occasions. I think Mannion is going to be frustrated with Hurts. Wondering how the "I'm not running" deal is going between Mannion and Siri and how long the "full autonomy" thing lasts too. I would agree that '27 would be the time to get your new QB with 2 round 1 picks. Still think we take a QB in this draft to replace Dalton at any rate. With the new staff I hope ew can keep the QB factory going

I do think we draft a QB this year but don’t think they replace Andy Dalton not this season atleast.

Both Dalton and McKee are on the final year of there contract so getting a young QB in here to develop cheap to be the backup makes sense.

Could see us making a deal with Dalton to stash him on the practice squad if we think our rookie QB would get poached and Dalton would still likely be the 3rd QB if anything happens to Hurts/Mckee

I know there are(if I recall) 2 on the PS you can "tag" meaning if another team wants them you have first shot at rostering them from the PS so they can't get poached (or of course you let them go). hard to think thought that any team would poach a PS(see UDFA) caliber player that they could have made a deal with before we did. You'd have to be pretty hard up for a QB. I like your idea though since we could call him(Dalton) up 3 times. If we're doing that then someone is on IR. Lots of ways to work it. every team has a PS, so if our guy gets poached we could poach from another team. I personally am not thrilled with Shipley. I hope we take a RB who can take his job away. A few late guys I like are Kaelon Black and LeVon Moss. Still think it's Ihenachor with a minor move back,or we take Miller at 23. I believe Iheanchor would be fine sitting knowing he has alot to learn yet. I also believe we take a G and maybe another late OT for depth behind Mailata. We had a bunch it that can be had in various rounds. I think it would be wise to get the lines rebuilt in a "retool" year. Although we can still compete, the new guys can get their feet wet before we change Hurts out unless Hurts just blows us all away with his play. I don't see that happening. Going to be a super fun draft watching Howie move around especially interesting on day 2 IMO. Since Dalton was a TRADE can we even put him on the PS or does he have to be on the 53?

I’d rather get a 2027 1st for AJ or very least a conditional pick that could become a 1st but looking at other possible scenarios.

Eagles will get a 1st for him

I think they draft his replacement in 2027

I think we look at a kid like Sawyer Robertson. Very good upside, but a UDFA. Threw for over 3,000 yards and as a UDFA probably fairly safe on the PS with an * designation(we're allowed 4 for designation). Howie gave up a 7th for Dalton and taking him as a UDFA puts Howie ahead not spending that 7th on one. I like Robinsons potential alot and as a UDFA he is expendable if he craps out. Nice camp body with upside to at least be the 3. Then go for QB 1 in '27(Arch Manning?)

Another draft option is for Howie to go after a top G like Ioane or Bisontis and take a later pick at OT(like Markel Bell from the canes at 98). Lots of way to go here. Really love to have Lawrence at edge but I don't think we had him in. Sutton is a possible edge guy and he's a homer to boot

I think Jordyn Tyson or Proctor is the pick in the first

Still thinking we draft a linemen in the first round whether that is OL or DL might depend how the draft goes. Ideally I think we want an OT.

Think WR Eagles go with Smith as WR1 we just have Wicks a decent extension think they are expecting more from him stepping up as the WR2 then you have Hollywood/Moore/Copper/Wilson all in the mix for WR3…. Probably will add a WR in the draft but I’m thinking that won’t be until round 3 or 4

All hoping we add Sam Roush at TE wouldn’t be mad at Stowers either two completely different style of TEs… think Roush would just fit better more traditional inline TE

This does feel like the draft we start getting younger and cheaper on offense though while we have extension coming up for the core defense Carter is the big one but then you have Q and Coop as well. Orjomo likely gone Baun contract is up after 2027 does he get a new deal from us? Campbell can he stay healthy?

Campbell will stay healthy and Baun will probably get a short term extension

That chemistry was the key for our first SB victory! No MAs and some deny it….but those guys played together as one. Undrafted RB…believe! Backup QB…believe!

No MAs did…said it was all about talent…he completely missed what made that team so special. Then you get the opposite with Captain AJ this past season.
