Figure we will look to trade Ringo by the end of preseason/camp…. Thought Carter were getting looks at S honestly didn’t even know he was playing CB this offseason for us.

McWilliams who we drafted last year as well as depth.

Jones definitely should have come in as the odds on favorite as the top depth piece…. Ringo was awful last season when he had to play

Jabril Peppers could have year left as a rotational fill for a year. I wouldn't sign him for more than that, but could be a cheap depth piece. Next draft we have a shot at Bolden the S from Georgia(a round 1 pick at this point) and Howie loves his Bulldogs

Maybe Howie wants to see his actions in the early part of the season and will make a deal midseason after he is certain his maturity has settled in. Fairly obvious Howie doesn't want him to leave. Bye weeks are great for getting things done

Talk locally that Carter is going to possibly get to camp and not participate if there isn't a new contract in place? We'll see.

Yeah, Howie will get it done. RB3 should be interesting also. The sad reality is whomever that will be, isn't going to get many snaps anyhow

I'm really looking forward to watching the defense

NFL Power Rankings: Ranking all 32 quarterback rooms for...

The backup quarterback position has never been more important than it is now. Let's power-rank all 32 quarterback rooms for the 2026 NFL Season.

19. Philadelphia Eagles (Hurts, Dalton, McKee)

A largely underwhelming quarterback room, Jalen Hurts is a fine option but is a very limited passer. Andy Dalton did have his run as Cincinnati's starting quarterback in the early-late 2010s, but he's a backup player at this point.

The Eagles will likely need to see Hurts play a more complete style of quarterback to feel comfortable in him remaining the long-term starter. Hurts has actually never thrown for 4,000 yards in a season, and has never thrown more than 25 touchdown passes in a season. This is a big year for him. Sure is

The starter is holding us back the backups are honestly probably some of the best in the league. A good backup QB is hard to have and we probably have two guys that could realistically win us some games(trust McKee more then Dalton)

Hurts hasn’t shown he can win with just his arm and that is the question this season can he win in the pocket with his arm especially since he doesn’t want to be used as a runner

That's why I pulled those stats from DWD's article and said "Sure is", which may mean I support pedos somehow 🤣. When you start off with QB 19/32 and your BU's don't drag that number lower, I think that speaks well. McKee kind of shocked me a little bit after he had shown out well. I still think he can do it again, Dalton is a nice QB and actually have NP with him. Question is, say Hurts gets hurt, who goes in? Dalton has the experience edge by a mile, but yet you need to get McKee snaps. I really don't care who is labelled QB2 or 3,they are both viable BU's. I'm like you though ,I think the BU's should have lifted QB 19/32 although I have seen Hurts at QB 17 recently. So this entire group should be a little higher than 17 in my view

Hopefully we don't have to make this call, but you already laid down a nice opinion. So do we roster 4 QB's? If not the youngest gun Payton has to go on the PS. Like the kid alot. I would hate to have him poached before we even get a chance to work on him. If someone comes calling I suppose we could trade McKee. I would be a little sad to see him go after 4 years of effort put in, but that's how you keep the factory moving.

https://wsucougars.com/sports/football/roster/tucker-large/14308 We have this kid on IR non football related. IDK why he is there but he seems like a kid with a decent ceiling. never saw him play so IDK

Okay we all know Hurts is mid let's talk about Jalen Carters contract again something at least up to date.

Questioning his shoulders

23 hours ago, Bleedinggreen93 said:

Is there anything new on the Jalen Carter front? I honestly just figured the team was going to wait till after the season to extend him.

I’d want to see those shoulders through some games. But….likely means he skips out on TC then.

Carter feels like he’s been here under Parker in Fangio D with invested time. A guy Fangio maybe trusts enough to stick with his in rhythm playcalling.

Odds just almost dictate our Secondary won’t be injury free. DeJean getting more work…(don’t want to pick anybody out so much)…all of them really …...but just only planning acceptable would be expecting half a dozen games missing at least one DB.

Mukuba I still feel hadn’t shaken the scouting question marks surrounding his endurance…more NFL durability. Sort of played out similar than expected. Just need more of that higher level and playmaking when he’s able to go and suit up. I don’t doubt him in this area actually. Blew some coverages early….but then starting finding his groove and niche. Entire thinking surrounding Mukuba really is just accepting of he isn’t a 20–something game a season player.

Interesting the AFc SB representative poaching fairly hard off us

As is often the case, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman was busy in the trade market this offseason. That meant the long-awaited and finally consummated Brown deal to the Patriots, netting Philadelphia a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. Losing Brown is a short-term knock, but it became clear his time as an Eagle was up and Philadelphia was able to flip him for a first-round selection -- which comes with years of expected value -- before Brown's decline really set in.

The Eagles prepared for the loss of Brown by trading fifth- and sixth-round picks for Dontayvion Wicks and selecting Makai Lemon in the first round of the draft. I particularly like the Wicks acquisition. The former Packer has a 69 open score over the past three seasons -- well above average -- and perhaps has not fully realized his upside.

The Eagles made another critical acquisition I was a fan of in trading for edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. High-end veterans have become so inflated on the trade market lately that I rarely believe the acquiring team is the winner in deals like this -- but the Greenard trade was an exception. The Eagles land a player whose sack production was down (only three sacks in 12 games last season) but who consistently wins on a down-to-down basis (his 23.3% pass rush win rate at edge would have ranked fourth had he qualified). He fills a need after Philadelphia lost Jaelan Phillips in free agency, which will likely net them a third-round compensatory pick next year per OverTheCap.com.

The Eagles also had one of my favorite free agency signings of the offseason, nabbing Woolenfor one year and $12 million. Woolen is not considered among the game's best corners despite metrics that suggest elite-level play. Over the past four seasons, Woolen ranks first among all cornerbacks with at least 500 coverage snaps in air yards allowed per coverage snap, just ahead of new teammate Quinyon Mitchell and Pat Surtain II.

My lone critique was the three-year, $78 million extension for Davis, which was a bit rich for a nose tackle. Davis is a good player against the run, but I need more pass rush to justify that type of contract.

ESPN grading and brief synopsis is pretty good for a change
