But not when nobody else can roll to cover the guy. We had three receivers out to the left. A S or CB blitz is designed so another defender covers for the guy. This was deliberate nobody could cover.
May 3, 20241 yr Hurts has missed plenty enough reads to complain about…just saying this isn’t the one.
May 3, 20241 yr This Bellicheat Uber aggressive playcall is pretty much the exact opposite of the way our D has played.
May 3, 20241 yr I want Hurts to make the reads…and work the defenders(usually a S) more. You know look off the receiver or any deliberate attempts to freeze a S(or whatever defender) to open up larger windows.🪟

Fans need to take a hint. However,Hurts needs to quiet them every play if that's what it takes. I've never been there so IDK personally and IDK if it's the same everywhere,I would assume it is. I know it's LOUD in Seattle. I would like the fans to take the hint especially with a new C or there will be alot of false starts Yeah... 2023 the first time fans were loud... ??? Come on????

We see a bad decision... with this RPO type of mentality....where it's the QB deciding the option of hand it off or keep it to pass... we see the wide open TE and AJ also coming open via the numbers at the bottom. All the weightlifting... the clichés ... the QB position still comes down to 2 things.... making decisions/ reads.... which can be lumped into " seeing the field".... and then making the throw. Regardless of all the other stuff... these 2 things ultimately are all that matters.
May 3, 20241 yr 6 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: Hurts isn’t expecting him to be open with nobody covering him, why? Because growing up a running QB.... squatting 600lbs was what got him success as a amateur player and into the league.... not the mental side of the game where most QBs develop the mind of anticipation of what the coverage is. You don't need to develop that , when in your mind you just can keep the ball yourself and make make the play. This is the challenge the running QBs ....which are different than " mobile" QBs...face when coming into a league where they can't just run themselves all the time.
May 3, 20241 yr 6 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: This was a crazy gamble by Bellicheat. You hear about All Out Blitz. That’s when you lock up every receiver man to man and bring the rest. What’s the name of this D playcall? No idea…never seen it in any playbooks really. He deliberately had the guy that should be man covering ..also blitz and leaving him uncovered. He blitzed more guys than even an All Out Blitz. Just Riverboat went for it and it worked for him. Bellicheat took that gamble because nobody ever does that…or would read to expect that. Balls! Was it a gamble though? When you do this as a DC... you basically are saying that the QB won't process the blitz fast enough to know where to attack it. Not sure if it's a gamble or just common sense here. 🤔

May 3, 20241 yr 5 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said: The average fan doesn't know to be quiet on O,they are there for fun and to root for the team. As i said,I imagine this is everywhere. Other teams cope with it,but we're the exception? The fans in Philly absolutely know to make noise on defense... lol.
May 3, 20241 yr 5 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: Any QB would read that at least one guy over there was in charge of covering the WR. Surely the actual intent on the playcall couldn’t be to plan on NOT covering a receiver. I mean...the QB is allowed to look. What if the defender slips and falls? Are you saying Hurts will never take advantage of that because it's " unexpected " ? Basically he is too dumb to figure anything out as it happens?
May 3, 20241 yr 5 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said: I know the answer. Trying to explain it so you can understand what actually happened and why Nah...you are trying to spin it to where we all give Hurts a pass. Again...simple concept... you can snap your fingers to pick something that Hurts can improve. Is it physical or mental. For me, it's easy... his mind processes things too slowly. Year 5 of being an NFL QB... QB is supposed to be the smartest guy on the field. I don't think Hurts will ever fail due to anything physical... regardless of height or arm strength ... he can overcome that for the most part. The fumble in the Superbowl to me was a fluke as he usually handles the ball well... but the mental part, processing blitz and coverage quickly... where to throw etc. That's what I feel will be any reason he has for coming up short.

"Can't play I have a hangnail" "Crowd is too loud" "The field wasn't perfect" Whatever excuse works. Bubble ball by 2029 only in indoor stadiums, but now they will need sound proofing plexiglas and Bose noise cancelling headphones in all helmets

I really want to return to the DOMINATING pass rush. O linemen are getting bigger and faster to stop those defensive masses of humanity however. I read an article about weight changes in NFL players over the past decades. I was 175 in HS and that was enough to play TE(and RB) 🤣. Now the gatorade people weigh that
May 3, 20241 yr Author AJ and Mailiata present for todays mini camp. Neither required to be there. This team wants a ring, and I see no reason we can't compete for one NOW. Sounds lofty but if those rook secondary get up to speed(expect a few rook mistakes),Bark and the right side O line are ready to rumble,A Smith gets the slot gig, we use Goedert correctly,we don't play 10 yards off receivers and we use more than an 8 play play book, and our previous draft picks step up to the plate, we can do this!!!! All of these are doable.Today McMahon told Kelce "we are both undersized so we have that in common" Kelce gave him his number and said "call if you need help" Even the retirees are pulling for the team still. As 123 pointed out the pre season ranking was #11. I'm not going by that. Coaching staff needs to put all this together,if they can do that I see no reason we can't go far in post season.

Not sure if it's a gamble or just common sense here. 🤔 The blitz was read. What read would any QB make basing things on the D intentionally isn’t going to cover a WR? Figuring out who has the coverage is a big part of how you read a D. The biggest blitz you’d expect would be leaving single coverage on each receiver. That’s considered an all out blitz. A CB blitz can happen…but how do you possibly even read that as a QB? But even then there should be a mother defender capable of rolling over.
May 4, 20241 yr I didn’t say anything close to Hurts is too dumb for any of it. I’m saying the unknowledgabie fan is making dumb arguments trying to hate on our top guy. Examples out there to complain about. All over the place. But you complain endlessly about a CB not covering a route he’s not responsible for. A QB is dumb because a receiving target is open on a play no QB could have predicted that playcall being a possibility even. Pretty much goes against how a D is taught to be read to expect what you’re complaining about.
May 4, 20241 yr Beloicheat through a curveball understanding just how the read would have to expect that only possible player to cover the receiver. Look through April the play books you can find. Dig up all the plays designed to purposely leave a receiver open. Pats stunk. Playing us expected good team. Bellicheat was taking huge gambles as the only way to have a chance. Balls to the wall play design and call by Bellicheat. He knows the game as well as anybody ever.
May 4, 20241 yr If you endlessly going to **** and try to tear down things. Just complain about the correct things. Kill the call of Cover 3 on 3rd and 4. Or at least understand how tough the Out is to cover for the Slot DB. But don’t keep bashing the Over CB that has a Zone of the deep zone third for not stopping a five yard pass. Not his job. I showed you the diagrams and told you the playcall. So much to make a good point about…but you aren’t complaining about any of those facts. Same thing with Hurts being to dumb to read a D. Dude has lead our O to top NFL league levels. The D goal is to disguise and confuse the QB read. Professional best of the best. But no version you acknowledge all those pro players being able to effect anything. Best of the best QBs have been confused by the D read.
May 4, 20241 yr But you complain about Hurts not reading a CB blitz presnap. Really? They happen…but how can you ever read that even? Only way is if you see a S cheating up towards covering that receiver. The play you killing our leader for there was no other coverage read to be made. Blitz was coming. That target wouldn’t have been a good read to get the ball out quick to under quick massive blitz.
