A bit bothersome. That fracture was supposed to be "nothing". Apparently we were lied to(once again) or he re-injured it again

Interesting

He had surgery that was supposed to be healed up about now.

Tyler Steen talking about how much better things will be for him now. Instead of training for the draft …he’s football training. Has a year in that G mindset now.

Mentioned how smart Cam is….how he works with the whole room.

A true May hero, let's see what he has next January(if we get that far)

I’ll just keep pointing out  all the steps it takes to get to that point along the way.

Q had a great practice it’s reported.

Come on....can't say " May hero " for one guy and think another guy staying away from the field is that big of a deal.  Mental reps is what this time of year is for.

I imagine Mitchell will get reps at outside with Slay too.

Well I doubt they were planning on starting him anyhow,so NP. Let him heal up,no rush. As Joe said I would suspect we get another guy in just to have him around

Hurts completed every pass on the 7's(per Ham) I was merely pointing out that is not heroic at this point. It's nice he completed them all,but that's what his job is

Maybe we trade Bradberry for WR 4 or 5. Seems like he is the odd man out if the young guys make it work

Yes. I really don't think Bradberry will be here

  • Kenny Pickett had a solid Eagles practice debut. Good ball up the seam to Albert Okwuegbunam for about 15 yards to beat a trailing Mekhi Garner. He also had a very tight window completion between two defenders to Kenny Gainwell for a would-be touchdown had Gainwell not accidentally stepped out of bounds right before making the grab (illegal touching).

Moore using lots of motion

Not a lot of downfield by Hurts tho

  • Parris Campbell saw a lot of targets from Hurts. His best grab was a leaping contested catch on a short-to-medium throw to beat Isaiah Rodgers. Campbell clearly seems to have already earned Hurts’ trust. That’s significant because we’ve seen that Hurts doesn’t automatically trust anybody they put out there with him.

Lew Nichols shows up. At the NFL Scouting Combine, Eagles running back coach Jemal Singleton told a reporter, "He has juice.” On Wednesday, we saw some of that from Nichols, who did a nice job catching passes from Pickett.

This is our third WR

I just don't want to turn into the Colts who for the most part relied on Taylor for their offense leaving the WR's out of the mix. I love Bark, but Hurts can't be ignoring these WR's and TE's. It's easy just to hand the ball off and look adept. We haven't had a 3 down RB for some time and I don't want to overdo it. These are HIGHlights,of the FEW times they used Paris(very few times),so let's not go crazy here. Hurts has to SEE this guy,can he do it on the 3rd/4th read??? This is what Joe and I have been clamoring for. Does no good to have these good players if the QB can't make the reads and deliver the ball. I don't want to be counting how many times he waves his arms in the air. For the most part unless the play is specifically for Paris he will be read 3 or 4

You don't have to really read a defense on the 7 on 7.

See this is where I always argued against the idea that Hurts " regressed " last year.

In 2022... the opposition was weak, the first read was open a lot, guys made great contested catches, especially on deep balls.

Last year the east stuff wasn't really there, not so much success on the jump balls.    But IMO Hurts passing improved some.  His accuracy on some shorter passes and ones where there was a tight window definitely improved last year.

The difference was he was put in position where the easy play...first read...wasn't really there.  He had to think more on his feet.    Caused the results to go backwards  ... turnovers etc.  But I stil think his " throwing" improved.
