Any decent 2 can make dink passes. If you're up 35-17 with 4 mins left then he's your guy. I you want a come from behind win I'm playing McKee

But you even see how the spin and case was being made in what you quoted from whatever media outlet. Completion percentage and didn’t make any huge mistakes. Pickett can’t win the starting job. He so clearly is playing not to lose the backup job.

Parris didn’t do anything did he? Did he even play? Ross I believe suffered a concussion.

It was nice to see Asmith score at least. They don't play him much which makes me think he sticks around. Alot could depend on pre 3

LOL we're not talking about replacing Hurts. We know that's now happening barring a bad injury. Pickett offers nothing as fr as winning games with dink passes you or I can make

Well that’s a big part of the QB2 job. Only really matters how you can actually perform with and against the 1s.

Well the 1 writer liked the effficiency,if you read the second article,he thinks more like me,so who knows?

IDK that McKee has ever had the chance to play with the 1's. I would love to see it

McKee got the game ball. Pickett did not. Of course it's only a pre game, but that should be a big deal for him

IDK with the injuries I can't say yet. Ngata went 5/88. That's nice stats

Could be something to note against Kellen Moore here. We don’t want to overcorrect things by overly dink and dunking. Adding short passing game was so obviously the answer…cough cough Siri. But let’s not make it the entire O gameplan here.

Wow.... got back on here....forgot there was a game tonight.... I see you guys really getting into it.   Lol.

How did we do injury wise...to me that's the most important thing.

We got some hurt WR's. IDK how bad

So who were the pro bowl players from tonight.  Who were the worst players ever?

Curious to hear all this ..I'm sure no overreaction from this all important game... lol.

I’m looking at it from all these angles. I’m bringing up an additional scenario taking place where maybe Pickett isn’t as bad as he looks because he’s doing this deliberately so he doesn’t give reason to lose the backup job. Basically the logic of taking the sack keeps his job better than forcing up balls under duress resulting in turnovers. I mean he really doesn’t have a ton of incentive.

It was interesting to watch.Lots of boo boo's but some really nice plays from the 3's and 4's. The Pats center won the game for us LOL. He was AWFUL

LOL McKee took no sacks, moved the team down the field, but you prefer dink and dunk efficiency while being chased around taking 4 sacks. Apparently we view the QB position WAY differently

Really hasn’t done much even with the 2s. Why I mentioned huge gap between performing with the 1s. Not thinking about him unseating Hurts. But that’s the competition you gotta face to actually play in any game.

With limited playing time there's not much chance to do much on 2 series. Pickett looked like crap IMO. I would love to see McKee with the 1's just for fun. with BU's he went for 140 yards in a short time. IMO he is winning the 2 job if Howie allows it. One more pre to go,if McKee is impressive he should get the job(if Howie allows it)

Really so many get caught up so much on the guy having a cannon arm. The issue with those guys that aren’t big time is usually their accuracy. Many observers don’t get how accurate can be a better weapon that long and hard. So really are plenty of strong armed inaccurate backup QBs historically.

   But I feel you

You are misreading my thoughts. I’m pretty much agreeing with you. I just pointed out the additional pretext I’m not sure you accounted for.

I would let Hurts play a little in pre 3. Stick McKee in and see what happens for a few series. or at least let McKee play with the 1's in practice. You need to know

IDk that any QB is told to hold back in a pre game. I think they want to see the goods

Without AJ, Smitty, Paris, Wilson and Ross went down to concussion. Guess he clearly proved himself 6th best at least.

Well we'll see. Just saying McKee is making a case for himself

Him and Tanner have been working together awhile …so they have that familiarity.
