I had a few WRs I liked in the third of this past draft…and many drafts lately. But we get that fifth back so feels like a fair move. Our need was great….but Rosie didn’t move in desperation.

I don’t know about all that. He’s only produced 500 receiving yards in a season. A bit steep of a price for that previous production. But our need was great. Had to make a move.

LOL How many yards did we get from the slot spot last year? 500 would be welcome

You're the one always talking up Hurts.

If Dotson isn't gonna do it here he's not gonna do it anywhere

I suggested trading for him specifically. I like the move. Saying it moves the needle for me.

The injuries have been pretty down... I mean for those of us who just worry about regular season.   Idk about the preseason  " injuries"  lol

Well the issue is not that it's pre,it's will those injuries be sustained through week 1. With the Dotson addition, that takes some of the pressure off the injuries at the position

I was asking who could replace AJ and DSmith outside. Dotson can play both,so can DSmith

So can AJ.   AJ is our best receiver anywhere on the field... only exception may be taking a handful on an end around...  but Dotson was the guy we were discussing back in May when " the 3rd receiver may not be on the roster " article from Roob came out.

Here we are 4 months after we introduced this conversation... this move was made.

I was thinking about Houston because they have excess. Thought that would be the move, but I'm happy with this pick up. I bet he is happy to be here

This is key, we weren’t just looking for a slot guy. Dotson is good route runner. He’s a willing blocker. Catches well. He has good twitch.

I just like that now we can move them around and offer different looks and confuse defenses,or at least make them work for it

GB .... this is a pretty significant move as the "5th weapon" we discussed prior to the 2023 draft... when thinking about the Seattle WR or the Buffalo TE.

Well as I said we had no one to even BU AJ or Smith,so even if one should go down Dotson can do that, then we simply drop a guy in the slot. So we got a slot guy AND a BU for our top guns

I just like how it's 5 legit options....and now you can add in your specialists ...2 TEs....2 RBs.... 4 WRs.... or any one particular player not in the 5... as part of a specific strategy.   But the foundation/ main 5 is all solid.

Yes, this is better than I expected. Well done Howie

Only a year and a half later since we brought this up...lol.   They played out Quez last year... and piecemeal the rest.

I like the group much better this year. Only thing that doesn't seem as good is the #2 blocking TE.

In line blocking backup specialist

Really nice to get this done for VS GB in Brazil

I'm wondering if we see a 6th OL some now in blocking situations?   I wouldn't be opposed to that.

Well... I will show you want the MeSean twins said while on with former August probowler Emmanuel Acho... I'll put that up later.  Interesting take from 3 former Eagles.

IDK adding motion really helps us alot. Whomever the slot is should benefit as well as the pass catching RB's

I didn't realize the OL doesn't like motion....because it changes the way the defense may line up... very interesting hearing Kelce talk about it.
