A guy that can’t run…just can’t be on the field as much as he could decades ago. He’s more of a liability these days. You have 300 pounders that can run faster than LBs could back then. So much more of a passing league now versus then. GL running with an injured hammy LOL. but apparently for better or worse DeJean is going in

Howie also got smarter and has had good drafts lately after the Reagor debacle and is finally providing talent. Schwartz always got barrel bottom CHEAP players and he had to make something from nothing. Now we have talent on both sides of the ball and it's time to give Lurie the Lombardi. But no,now we can use the injury excuses again(because they are there AGAIN) You could just as easily have applied this to responding to No Mas post about Johnson as OC last season. But you’re more correct where you put it because it was Siri’s O last season. Got stale and predictable. Looked behind coming out of TC. The draft quality of Rosie is still up for debate. Obviously having a bunch of draft ammo helps. But we haven’t see it materialize like I’d really wish so far. Davis hasn’t translated into a draft pick that high to praise Rosie over. Steen hasn’t worked out…yet at least. Dean…and on and on….haven’t been getting quick out of the gates production from these draft picks. Too early to judge…is all I’m really saying. They haven’t come out lighting the world on fire though. Nolan? Been looking like a questionable first round pick you seem to be letting Rosie slide on here. Has he been better than Reagor?

He has to relearn our play calls, get in some form of game shape just to be cut a week from now in a pointless game that doesn't matter in the seasons W/L except either way he can be used as a scapegoat after the game for guys who don't make the cut. put in a scrub we already have If we had enough scrubs we would…that’s clearly the issue

But Ringo has been battling to start. He’s looked very capable…that’s putting it modestly in my view. I believed he should have been out there long before they did last season. But he did well once he became a starter.

If he’s been cleared he’s been cleared. I’m definitely not in favor of rushing anybody back. Just look at Steen. But it has been the fairly usual time off recovery for a hammy with DeJean…unless it was real severe. Hold him out if practice…or if he’s going…then just gotta let him go. Kid needs this stuff. Every rookie needs TC and some PS action. He’s missed out. He needs to grow and develop. Not likely he’s out there a ton for the real games. PS3 is his time. He should build confidence against the scrubs.

Of course he's going to say "I feel good" because the kid is eager to play. he is a sponge. He will be a good one IN TIME. We have him for 4 years I don't want a season ending injury or every other week hammys. It would be rather disruptive doing musical chairs with the secondary. He's playing so I hope it goes well. I would tell him "don't get out of position" or try to make insane plays no matter if you get beat or not

We really don’t have but so much to lose with him right now. If ever we could absorb a four week setback with DeJean it would be now.
August 22, 20242 yr Am throwing around the ideas of that we want to trade Bradberry. But also could have an actual very nice trade chip in Rodgers. Make things much easier to feel comfortable trading Rodgers if DeJean could show he’ll be ready for a role contributing sooner than later. Bump DeJean up to CB 4. Possibly a S option in the mix also.
August 22, 20242 yr I think Ringo can ball. So was a good pick by Rosie. Problem is he got us stuck with Bradberry and Slay though. We couldn’t have been worse off just rolling with Ringo last season and this.
August 22, 20242 yr Ohio St hired No Mas boy Chipper as OC. Seems to be making the point Chip Kelly won’t be running that gimmick crap O No Mas loved while he was here.

Why we’ve talked quite a bit about getting the best guys on the field. Maybe go with Q outside then sliding him inside on Nickel to get the next best CB on the field. But really think Ceedy and Maddox clearly are Slot guys. That’s their best positions.

August 22, 20242 yr TUTu Atwell the Rams WR. Kind of interests me. I think the Rams would come off from him for not much at all. Maybe a change of scenery coming here we could get lucky and things click.
