My timing was based on beat reporters clearly stated Gainwell had his best practice ever. I’m man enough to come out and give the guy his props on an excellent practice. I’ve always felt he was a third stringer. But stated how I thought he earned the second string title going into this season. I’m just big enough a person that I can admit when I’m wrong. I’ve liked him as third string RB. I as pissed he was named starter to begin last season. Much of that was based on him being Siri’s boy and being shoved and forced into those situations. Siri doesn’t have any power anymore …so Gains is earning everything on his own merits now.

I don’t hate our GM. I see plenty of strengths in him. Just is frustrating to keep facing his weaknesses smack in our faces. He got humbled and it got us to hosting a parade. Rosie has that potential and ability. Just very difficult that’s what is the roadblock to overcome though. Much easier to swallow a guy just doing his best but can only reach so far. A guy getting in his own way holding us back is…frustrating. Worse is that several seem to slurp up some of his holdups as a strength.

Stronger than Indy and Washington.

Seems like teams could possibly be open to trading for Slay. They wouldn’t be on the hook much for next season under contract. We just need to make the move fairly quickly before he falls apart. Not sure he’ll make it to the trade deadline.

Not sure why you keep bringing up Slay…like I was ever for extending him. I was clearly against it after he broke down so early two seasons ago.

My idea was to draft Q though. For sure had my eye on him this whole draft process. Let’s see how he does. I picked out a guy that played for Toledo as my first round wishlist player.

Excellent news!

Dotson was a name I had mentioned as possibly trading for. Goes to show how you just don’t know if anybody can get traded though…until their actually traded.

This was a crucial quality move this team needed. Not a guy that’s accumulated big stats. But this moves the needle for me. Such an obvious need that just had to be addressed.

I don’t know about all that. He’s only produced 500 receiving yards in a season. A bit steep of a price for that previous production. But our need was great. Had to make a move. 

We gave up Reddick for a third..our best defensive player. But getting back that fifth even though we had to give up two sevenths for it…lightens the sting.
