Except you’re forgetting that Fangio straight wouldn’t lie about how the scandal is why he didn’t stay here

Stay for what?  Gannon was the DC.  He had to leave before the job became open.  What did you expect from Fangio....hang around and don't take a DC job?

Did you expect the Eagles to fire Gannon and hire Fangio the week before the SB?

You never explain your logic and timeline on this. You just speak in vague terms trying to make Howie sound bad without anything to back it up.

Idk... I guess we shall see.  Im looking forward to real football.   You sound afraid?

Just talking about the real football situations that are coming. But yeah…I’d say I do have fear of our run D being less than stout. Especially if we can’t have five guys on the line.

You aren’t arguing with me…your arguing with Fangio

Think I also have fear of our tackling being ugly…again. This is all stuff I don’t want to say I told you so about. But not a lot of reason to believe otherwise quite frankly.

That means Vic is doing a terrible job as a coach

It wasn’t even a secret Gannon was decorating his new office instead of preparing to play in the SB in zona

Fangio was getting the DC job…a year late. The HC job goes to an O minded coach. Wasn’t the right guy available. They decided not to force a bad one year HC hire. So they hired Moore and told him the O is his. Essentially a one year job interview.

Or...the view from planet earth.

The DC stunk last year... we needed a new on

The OC stunk last year...we needed a new one.

They hired 2 guys that have experience with successful units.  To go with the coach who they already had success with.

He isn’t a miracle worker. He clearly wanted more practice. Was trying to get his starters involved in PS a good amount.

Tackling should be taught if your team can’t tackle means the coaches aren’t doing their jobs correctly

He is getting paid millions to coach just like players are getting paid millions to play…. Yea nah no excuses if the team isn’t ready that’s on bad coaching

Rosie completely screwed the pooch trying to force Gannon back threatening the scandal. Which Fangio wanted to be no part of.

Rosie then screwed up again making a poor hire in Desai. But he hired Desai because he was the closest DC option available to run something close to Fangio D until his return. So not a huge makeover was occurring. It was understood Fangio was returning this season. Same thing as how they’re  thinking a year ahead at the HC job this year.

Let's say the Eagles go 0-17.   How does that change your life...what are you afraid of?

I agree with Hurts.  Every game is an opportunity.   It's an opportunity to get a win.  Never understood fear of losing as a fan.  Especially going through some wastes of seasons under Marion Campbell and then how Kotite and Rhodes finished.   Years of no potential to do anything.

You have Baun just converting to off ball LB. Dean who hasn’t proven to be a strong tackler and isn’t very big. Ceedy who takes bad tackling angles. All this isn’t giving confidence facing a back like Jacobs in my head.

Never said confidence said it’s on the coach tackling is a skill that can be taught angles can be taught if guys are bad at it it’s the coaches job to coach them so they aren’t

If we had a team where expectations weren’t to win wouldn’t be a problem. But we have a talented team…even though we have some flaws and areas we need to develop…especially younger players. How quickly can we put things together? First two games we are facing very challenging RBs. It’s a problem. One we already know you and FL will blame Hurts for. But myself I look for LBs to do their jobs.

isn’t very big.

Dean what 5’11 230 Patrick Queen is 6ft 230 mmmmm like what that inch really making a difference

Azeez 6’2 228

Fred Warner only 230

Roquan 230

Like Dean is the same size are pretty much all the LBs in todays game

lol I’m fine if we are saying Dean isn’t good he hasn’t shown anything but the underside sell nah that isn’t an excuse he is right on par with NFL LBs of today

Just thinking about Jacobs and Robinson both being about 220 lbs aren’t they

It is what it is Dean isn’t undersized for his position if his position is playing at 230….. if we had Queen at ILB are we sitting here saying he is to undersized for Jacob’s? Don’t think we are

if we had an old school LB at 250 we would then be here worried about his ability to cover Jacob’s in the pass who is an underrated receiver

Don’t think our LBs can pass cover anyway

Can’t help if they don’t have the coaching and instincts to cover well but they don’t lack the athleticism to do it

Run at Huff out of three WR sets would be the obvious gameplan.

Jacobs and Robinson…our first two weeks RB opponents. A severely lopsided matchup advantage against our LBs…run and pass.

Coaching should be teaching players how to tackle bigger RBs and athletically speaking Dean should be able to keep up with Jacob’s or Bijan in the flats.

Dean a Butkus award winner on a top D team that won a national championship and played against the best competition college football has to offer in the SEC.

Don’t think he lacks in the talent department is his mental makeup to succeed there? Are the coaching doing their jobs properly?

I do think of Dean is to have his breakout season it is now under Vic
