So many players get immediately placed on the Commish Exempt list…suspended multiple games when charges were dropped on cases. Why are the Chiefs getting a timely pass here?

Rosie then screwed up again making a poor hire in Desai. But he hired Desai because he was the closest DC option available to run something close to Fangio D until his return. So not a huge makeover was occurring. It was understood Fangio was returning this season. Same thing as how they’re thinking a year ahead at the HC job this year. Hunh? Threatening a scandal? Wtf are you talking about? AZ messed up...of they went by the rules they would have agreed to hire Gannon well before Fangio took the Miami job. Why are you blaming the Cardinals rules violation on Howie. Not surprised though....you assumed e did something wrong with Barkley and was going to cost us a pick. That shows your true colors. Before anything happens... you go to blame Howie and avoid blame for Hurts. The Hurts getting the Titans GM to not pay AJ is hilarious. You are entertaining to some degree with these left field theories.

Fangio wouldn’t lie about the scandal being the reason he didn’t take the Eagles DC job. Clearly he knew all about it. All this behind the scenes stuff was happening whether you want to admit it or not to fit your agenda. There was no big secret about Gannon taking the HC job in Zona when we went there.

If you were blindfolded and dropped in the middle of the city, it looks like any big city in the US…only much larger. I really wanted to go. Yes, there are bad people there that would take advantage of the opportunity IF the players were to make themselves an easy target. The biggest difference between a third world country and the US…besides the obvious…is the safety aspect because of the police. In Brazil, there are places the police wont even go as the people that poor have no fear of prosecution. Unfortunately the left wing politicians in this country are pushing an agenda that wants to limit police….hmmmm, less safe, no fear of prosecution. Thats a bad agenda if you want people to feel safe. I thought about moving to Brazil full time years ago, but the lack of safety was the reason I didn’t.
September 5, 20242 yr I am worried that the Eagles’ players don’t even want to be there. We forget they are real people too. Attitudes affect play.
September 5, 20242 yr For the record, MOST Brazilians are incredible human beings! Some of my best, lifelong friends are Brazilians.

But we have a talented team…even though we have some flaws and areas we need to develop…especially younger players. How quickly can we put things together? First two games we are facing very challenging RBs. It’s a problem. One we already know you and FL will blame Hurts for. But myself I look for LBs to do their jobs. Its a problem if there are no expectations to win. It's a waste of time. I've been there. Right now a decade long waste of time for my Flyers. The Phillies had a decade of irrelevant baseball. Sixers were irrelevant for the longest time. But the worst for me ...was those irrelevant years watching Eagles football... a waste of Mike Quick's prime. Just brutal feeling knowing your team has no shot to do anything. It's the absolute worst as a fan. I want to see my team have an opportunity to play for something. Otherwise why watch? We have an opportunity this year. One team is going to win a SB... does that mean all the teams expected to do well should have their fans fearing they won't win a SB? I don't get that mentality at all. Sad way to go through life.

There was no big secret about Gannon taking the HC job in Zona when we went there. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10102649-nfl-rumors-eagles-were-confident-jonathan-gannon-would-reject-cardinals-hc-job Gannon's hiring as the Cardinals head coach was a contentious one. In April, Arizona and Philadelphia reached a settlement in which Cardinals general manager Monti Ossenfort admitting to calling Gannon prior to Super Bowl LVII, which was a no-contact period. According to McManus and Weinfuss, the then-coordinator not only didn't tell the Eagles about the call but also failed to inform the team he intended to interview with Arizona about its coaching vacancy. As a result, Philly missed the window to hire Vic Fangio, an experienced coordinator who was hired as a consultant for the team ahead of the Super Bowl. Fangio was described by McManus and Weinfuss as the "preferred replacement," but he had committed to become the Miami Dolphins' defensive coordinator before the Eagles made a formal approach. During a May appearance on 97.5 The Fanatic's John Kincade Show, ESPN's Adam Schefter said Fangio "probably would not have taken the Dolphins defensive coordinator job and would be the defensive coordinator in Philadelphia today if everything was on the up and up." Fangio neither confirmed nor denied the report when questioned by reporters:
September 5, 20242 yr So Arizona violated the rules (really there was no reason they couldn't ask for permission to talk with Gannon prior to the playoffs starting. They messed up. Gannon didn't tell the Eagles about either the illegal call that Arizona made. .. or that he intended to interview with the Cardinals. Fangio was hired before the Eagles knew about any of this. As the article states... if things were on the up and up (meaning if AZ and Gannon did things correctly by notifying the Eagles that there was interest and Gannon was going to be interviewed) Fangio might have waited to take the Dolphins job. Fangio obviously wasn't going to say that he would have chosen Philly while he was still coaching in Miami. But obviously there was mutual interest there and if it were known that Gannon was going to possibly go to AZ, then he would have known the Eagles DC job would have been open to take. Sure looks like Fangio would have been our DC.... IF AZ AND GANNON DIDN'T MESS IT UP!!! Don't see how anyone here could blame Howie when the reports are all saying AZ and Gannon messed up. They even admitting to messing up. That's why AZ was penalized because they screwed the Eagles.
September 5, 20242 yr He was asked whether he would have been the Eagles' DC if not for the Jonathan Gannon tampering situation. "That's possible," Fangio said
September 5, 20242 yr All your BS. He just didn’t want to be in the middle of the scandal. He obviously knew all about the tampering situation when he decided to take the Dolphins job.
September 5, 20242 yr Rosie was offering a raise and telling Gannon he had the proof of the illegal contact trying g to get Gannon to come back. All played out losing Fangio. What did we get…some little pick swap out of it. All just postponed developing Fangio’s D for a year.
September 5, 20242 yr I’m not going over this anymore for the billionth time when Vic neither would "confirm or deny it” out of his own mouth. Be so easy to deny if he took the Phins job before any of it happened like you state. He’d just say no to the question.
September 5, 20242 yr Acting like we all didn’t know Gannon was taking the HC job in Zona when we went to the SB there is laughable
September 5, 20242 yr Matt LaFleur stated how at some point in the game you’ll have to adjust. Whichever team does that better will probably win the game.

There wouldn't be any issue if he took the job here. The whole point of Lurie being pissed and getting the " settlement" ( remember that was all him) was because they didn't get a chance to interview Fangio.
September 5, 20242 yr If they got Fangio or at least interviewed him, then there wouldn't have been any of the penalties to AZ.
