Siri showed how poor things were in his O to start his HC career here. Steichen bailed him out.

It was the same offense Siri wasn’t and isn’t a good play caller that fair to say in his limited stint doing so. Steichen is a far better play caller but Siri was part of the game plan during that 2022 season the scripted plays start of games and the half, decisions to go for it etc.

In all honesty the fact Siri knew he was bad he gave up play calling is a massive bonus toward him I don’t see that as a negative at all not many coaches would have done that wouldn’t take that accountability

You don’t want him taking the sack then cry about him avoiding the sack then trying to get rid of the ball and the defender gets him from behind. Just can’t have it all ways in your Hurts Hating.

He is inept as a QB from the mental standpoint, like some of his cheerleaders. The ones holding up their middle finger. Hurts is superb as an athlete,it's his mental game as I keep saying

Think you’re missing the guy that hired the coach. Siri showed how poor things were in his O to start his HC career here. Steichen bailed him out. Then Steichen leaves and Siri proves how incapable he really is. To bring him back….was terrible judgement. Only redeemable reasoning is our FO knew the quality HC candidates weren't around ….so they needed to set things up for this offseason hiring cycle.

Colts just lighting up that scoreboard 🤣 Offensive genius

So he is being outrun by defensive linemen? He is that slow? That is a terrible trait to have for a running QB. How about he rolls right,to you know, avoid the rush and buy 1/2 second to deliver a downfield strike? After 5 years this is too much to ask? He needs to be told how to do this? Do we need to write a special little book just for Hurts called "How to roll out and complete passes for Dummies?" We can make it a picture book so he can follow along without having to strain his brain reading. rolling right also gives him time to go through multiple reads which he is not doing. If all reads are covered you are already on the move to turn it into a running play This is QB 101 stuff and it amazes me Hurts can't learn it. You can't either

Can he get rid of the ball out of bounds and not into the hands of defenders?? 5 years and he still needs to be taught this? You keep defending the fact he has no learning curve. I guess this is the best Hurts we will ever see. He has peaked at "sloppy and inefficient" Just wonderful. Terrific "leadership" skills when you force the defense onto the field for 45 mins a game because you can't complete a drive without Barkley. The defense fights to get him the ball back and he rewards their efforts by not scoring. He better not lose this team early this year or we will have another collapse on our hands

I want hurts to succeed,to be the MVP. He needs to clean up his act. He has had 5 years to do this and he WON'T or CAN'T. Either way it's on your boy and he isn't proving a thing so far. He has 12 weeks left to do it

I'm glad we have now graduated to picks with motion.Makes it so much better 🤣

So I am discounting this last debacle in TB. So we would be 2-1 sans this disaster. I hope we get this train back on the tracks after the bye because we have a LONG way to go with no breaks. It will be difficult to go 12 weeks with no injuries at all

You just hate on him and have been dogging and blaming him ever since he became our QB. Anything that happens with our team…you blame Hurts. Is what it is.

You’re inept as a fan that doesn’t understand what’s going on most of the time to rightfully judge

He was trying to throw the pass…when hit from behind.

Hurts can't deliver 31 PPG.. In fact our PPG is falling off every year and Barkley is the guy who scores most of the points. I can hand the ball off to Barkley for 15 mil a year. Think of the savings!! Now tell me about Hurts greatness when he has the 2nd highest turnover ratio after 5 years of QB ing

I've seen Hurts and Daniel Jones being compared to each other. That is not the type of comparison that I want my franchise QB being associated with.

Me too…and I would LOVE to see him improve with ball security and decision making. But until then I don't want to see any statements that Hurts is the best QB in franchise history. I would be very proud of him if he achieves that milestone. And frankly I still believe he has a shot to earn that title. But he needs to get out of this slump.

Well, the more I study and watch Hurts (with an open mind…wanting him to be successful), the more concerned I get.

On one hand, he has made some really nice throws. On the other, he is not making the correct read…..over and over and over. Cunningham, before you correct me on your bias, try to watch the games over with a QB who has at least played some college ball…and preferably has coached the position. It is NOT good QB play regardless of missing starters. I’m starting to see a QB that is either being defiant of his coach and throwing it where it shouldn’t go OR….worse, a QB that simply doesn’t see the coverage well and. A,es the WRONG choice/decision. I really hope the latter is not the case. If so, the Eagles need to find a new solution at the position. Yes, he has athletic talent. His best attribute is running, which is something he doesn’t do near as effectively as he did 2 years ago. I suspect everyone has preached AVAILABILITY is paramount. But I would argue that it opened up the offense a lot more. Defenses are clearly not afraid of him running much.
Think about this…the Eagles are 4-11 over their last 15 games….I think thats right. That sucks! Thats NOT a good team. Yet we "believe” this team is very talented, right? Better QB play, and I mean a LOT better QB play is vital if this team wants to turn this around.

Cunningham, I don’t mean to "bash” on Hurts. I watched game tape with a former QB and coach and my eyes were opened to things I didn’t recognize just watching the games a few times. His last comment…..Eagles are in trouble unless Hurts starts to read a defense MUCH better.  That sucks to hear as a diehard fan. Really sucks!
