On one hand, he has made some really nice throws. On the other, he is not making the correct read…..over and over and over. Cunningham, before you correct me on your bias, try to watch the games over with a QB who has at least played some college ball…and preferably has coached the position. It is NOT good QB play regardless of missing starters. I’m starting to see a QB that is either being defiant of his coach and throwing it where it shouldn’t go OR….worse, a QB that simply doesn’t see the coverage well and. A,es the WRONG choice/decision. I really hope the latter is not the case. If so, the Eagles need to find a new solution at the position. Yes, he has athletic talent. His best attribute is running, which is something he doesn’t do near as effectively as he did 2 years ago. I suspect everyone has preached AVAILABILITY is paramount. But I would argue that it opened up the offense a lot more. Defenses are clearly not afraid of him running much. Think about this…the Eagles are 4-11 over their last 15 games….I think thats right. That sucks! Thats NOT a good team. Yet we "believe” this team is very talented, right? Better QB play, and I mean a LOT better QB play is vital if this team wants to turn this around. Cunningham, I don’t mean to "bash” on Hurts. I watched game tape with a former QB and coach and my eyes were opened to things I didn’t recognize just watching the games a few times. His last comment…..Eagles are in trouble unless Hurts starts to read a defense MUCH better. That sucks to hear as a diehard fan. Really sucks! Impossible,Hurts is the best QB in franchise history, you should know this by now hater 🤣

So naive anybody that thought last year’s collapse was just going to disappear. This year’s team had to dig out of that whole. Just the way it was. Because of the QB. The QB has issues lingering from last year.... not difficult to understand

Do you really need a QB expert to sat this Here is my suggestion... go watch a Hurts highlight tape from 2022. All his best plays. See what you think....you will see plays where WRs are wide open, WRs winning jump balls, about 5 big throws to Smith that should have been TDs that weren't. These are the highlights. Not the mistakes.

But before the collapse in 2023 we were on a 5 game win streak and were sitting at 10-1

On which one lol if we are talking the bucs game he dodged a blitzing David should have known he was there should have never attempted the throw really bad presence on Hurts end… Nothing Barkley can really do when all David has to do is turn around and come back to Hurts he can’t grab him that’s holding can’t block him in the back that’s a penalty just really bad look. Then the 2nd fumble which we recovered could make the case was even worse than the first fumble. And this was one of the areas I thought Hurts used to excel at knowing when to get rid of the ball or just take off an run but his internal clock has not been working as of late
October 2, 20242 yr So thinking after the bye week we see Dejean in the slot…. Not much we can do with Slay at this point can’t really trade him and we are not going to just bench him. But hey pretty happy with Mitchell/ Dejean/ Blank/ CJ going forward all relatively young guys think CJ is the oldest at what 27. Hopefully be a nice young core secondary for awhile
October 2, 20242 yr Have to wonder if we sit Dean at MLB not sure how accurate the information was but heard he missed like 5-6 tackles against the bucs alone just not a good look for our LB…. And for a guy whose selling point was making splash plays he isn’t even given us that. Might want to try White at this point. Baun looking like are only decent LB at this point
October 2, 20242 yr DL being disappointing to say the least pretty sad when your best edge rusher is BG on his farewell tour. Huff looking like a massive waste of money the one thing he was supposed to be good at was rushing the QB and he isn’t even doing that well. Sweat should have been moved as well but guess we needed bodies still Carter just inconsistent but still young hopefully he can find that level of consistency to play at a high level all the time. Davis really unsure what to make of yes the run D has been bad and there supposed to be his strength but not much a NT can do for outside runs away from him… be curious what the stats are for runs on the inside v the outside Against us

Then 2 losses this year makes 8. They lost the Superbowl the year before to make 9. They lost a couple of games at the end of 2022...makes 11 losses. So instead of 4-11.... they won a regular season plus two playoff games in 2022... 11 regular season wins last year...and two more this year. So 16-11 in the last 27 games. 13-1 the 14 games before that.

It's not. neither is the O if you really want to get into it lol
