Mahomes has no RB to speak of,WR's aren't that good. Not close, but keep that spin going

He has a first round pick WR. Had his top guy Rice that should have been suspended but wasn’t. Kelce. ….Watson, Sky Moore and Mecole Hardman  as depth

Just like Hurts did the first three games if Saquan catches that ball

Thought it was way more missed tackles for Dean.  Only 5 or 6?    But that's coaching.

Tackling is coachable

It sucks that we have so many guys up the center of the D that need fundamental level tackling drills to be taught to them as pros.

Now some of the BS screenshot talk last season about our CB playing twelve yards off….i tried to set the record straight on the exaggeration plus the playcall zone responsibilities. This past game against Tampa though was terrible. Legit CB playing ten yards off….which is bad enough on its own….but with S over the top. That’s unacceptable and playing scared. Just can’t think of any reason to have a CB giving that kind of cushion when they have S over the top help. So let the screenshots of this D performance poor in. This wasn’t Cover 3 with the outside CB having the deep third zone. Saw plenty of a high S having the deep zone essentially in a double team position on their WR with our CB playing a mile off the line of scrimmage. Slay on that first play of the game was ten yards off….and still had the WR getting him to turn his hips to turn and run. Pathetic! In that position should absolutely have the CB driving hard on that WR as he’s catching it. Should only be playing forward. That first play of the game was real bad D.

Looking over some game breakdown here. Still in that first drive just another play near the goaline where most of our D is just terrible. Screenplay. DT gotta read the screens. Instead Carter comes bumbling through unblocked and falls. Ceedy is in position to attack it. But instead makes false steps….has two Oline get out on him. Nolan saves the play. He gets upfield but has the athletisicm and nonstop motor to turn back around and shoestring tackle. Keeps him out of the endzone at least….for that play. But have three Buc blockers right there at the goaline in front of whomever was running that screen. This one play shows bad coaching, off ball LB, DT and S positioning, read, and reaction.

If you never understood what I’ve been talking about with coaching….watch this game again and really absorb some things. They got Mike Evans one on one versus Reed Blankenship. Even had Nolan pushed out covering him. Great coaching by the Bucs predicting the D playcall and setting up these dream mismatches. On Fangio it’s textbook terrible what you definitely can’t have happen to your players.

Rewatch that game as painful as it is. This is pure easy coaching stuff here. Talk of players executing just doesn’t mean crap against these coaching exchange. Don’t get me wrong….players made plenty of mistakes also. But watch how their OC deliberately gets these terrible mismatches setup against our D and try and down play the value of the coaching role playing a huge part in things.

When was the last time our O playcall generated AJ versus their pass rusher in coverage? On and on….

Could have been more no clue think I seen something where they were only crediting him with 5 or 6 miss tackles

I’m adding Ringo into this

I was only talking starters Ringo isn’t a starter might be next season or if slay gets hurt…. But real strong possibility that Dejean takes over the slot it sounds like after the bye

So instead of 4-11.... they won a regular season plus two playoff games in 2022...  11 regular season wins last year...and two more this year.   So 16-11 in the last 27 games.  13-1 the 14 games before that.

It’s always what have you done lately not what’s your total track record. Go look at Slay accomplishments he posted them on twitter defending his poor play this season.

1-5 to finish 2023 plus the playoff loss the 2-2 to start…. Hopefully we get back to winning formula but until then not looking great end of last season and start of 2024

This team with Sirianni as the HC is not getting back to winning ways on a regular basis. No chance of that.

Just no other move to make but give DeJean a shot in the Slot.

It’s worrisome as hard as teams have targeted Maddox that Fangio still hesitated to make the move already. DEJean has to really looked pretty lost in things to not have been given the job already.

We traded up early second round for a Big Ten DB. He should be ready to at least learn on the job here.

Well you were mentioning our young DB corps that could build together. Feel Ringo is another key piece there. Sure he won’t takeover until Slay is finally finished. But we already saw last season how he was an upgrade when he came in the game.

Ricks and some of these others…not banking on. CGJ I’m not banking on either. He just looks lost way too much. Talks a bunch of thug punk trash. But terrible angles of pursuit and tackling. Not even looking super strong in coverage. If he lets guys catch the ball and can’t make the tackle also…..that’s a problem. Especially at S.

Fangio ?

Yea the guys that likely to start this season build that chemistry playing together… Ringo doesn’t start so again didn’t fit… he might down the road but again was only talking the starters since again signs pointing that Dejuan could take Maddox slot job

I’ve been #1 on hounding the turnovers since last season even when we were sitting at 10-1 lol…. I was just called a hater for it though

When I bring up the young secondary playing together and growing together would be Q/Dejean/Blank/ then guess Johnson since he has a 3 year deal not expecting him to go anywhere…

Though would be nice to see Brown take over really liked his flashes last year before the injury

It should be his best week
