We have potential elite level players, yet we can't even put together a coherent game. We are winning some games despite the screw ups by virtue of the talent. It would be nice to see this team play at their potential for once

" you have to give Sirianni and Moore credit for calling these plays where hurts doesn't have to read the defense" That's very telling right there of what people think of Hurts. That might be the case but we can’t see the true problems until Sirianni is gone. I think a better HC would get more out of Hurts. I’m not saying they’d make him a superstar but I think they’d get more out of him.

October 15, 20242 yr Author IDK,we brought in Moore to give this offense more juice and Siri is snuffing him out. It was a pointless hire if Siri is going to override him. We're back to the Siri lackluster boring vanilla plays of last year. I thought e wanted some new blood who could inject some passion on offense. Moore will stop trying if he is constantly being overridden. If Siri is not going to listen to Moore, why is he here? I want to see the Moore offense not another year of the bland Siri offense and it's starting to make me angry and I'm sure Lurie is not pleased after paying money out to change this offense, If there is no cohesion soon there is no way to with the tough games. We're seeing the team that collapsed last year with a few exceptions. Not good enough for this old man

The sequence at the end of the half was a 10-14 point swing... they won by 4 and ran the clock out instead of scoring again. While the score was close...the play was heavily favored toward the Eagles... opposite of the other games where Tampa killed us...and the other 3 games were even if not us getting out played. I'll say it again...2022 was the worst thing for Eagles fans as a decent team won big all year because the competition stunk. It's not college football... the NFL is competitive where one score wins are the norm... go see KC the last two years...that's the norm.

Siri is not calling the plays... that's Moore. Did you notice the guy's point... the football EXPERT that is commenting on the game.... He is saying to put Hurts in a position to where he does NOT have to read the defense. Does it matter where Siri is on this... you understand what he is saying about Hurts right? and again... I would suggest anyone who thinks Hurts 2022 was so different... go watch that 19 minute video of all his top plays in 2022... find me one where you see him make reads and thread the needle on throws. It's the same stuff you saw Sunday... he runs, he throws the ball up to where his WRs have to make the great catches... or guys are wide open. Then watch the 2017 video where you see what Foles and Wentz did.... totally different skill sets. You aren't going to see Hurts read a defense... regardless of who calls the plays or is his head coach. 5 years now.. the same thing... Doug, Siri, Steichen, Johnson, Moore... same stuff. Not going to change.

October 15, 20242 yr Raiders likely to be selling players we are in need of edge help should we look into Maxx Crosby?

It's not college football... the NFL is competitive where one score wins are the norm... go see KC the last two years...that's the norm. I can't call us "dominant" unless we finish drives, and we seem unable to do that and with the available talent, this should not be a problem, yet it persists. If your offense is hot,you keep scoring so the chemistry keeps getting stronger when you REALLY need it to be. Turning off AJ,Smitth,Geodert because you have a minor lead does nothing for them. They want to continue playing and scoring and that's what we pay them to do. We also lost the dominant pass rush Philly has always been known for. Siri seems like a weak personality that can't yell at players when he needs to and he let's these guys off the hook instead of holding their feet to the fire. And while I don't want a mean coach,he seems to wimpy for this job. While we have had this rash of injury,it's very apparent to me the BU WR's have no impact. The plays called are mediocre and the BU guys need to have more available to offset the fact they aren't starters. More chip blocks by others to help get them free as an example. The BU WR's don't seem like they can function in the NON MOORE offense and while I don't expect explosive numbers like the top guys, they should still be able to move the chains. So IMO that needs worked on because we have to now go 12 games with no injuries and BOOM right off the bat Matilata goes down and Bark needs to be reminded that his screw ups need to be fixed NOW. Drops, failures to get 1 yard when we need it and not slough off. Apologies are great, but the fans are tiring of the apology tour and I am also

We see blips of it with occasional motion, but the plays are the same(with motion) It's the same vanilla as last year in a different package, the contents seem the same. Moore runs a more "wild west" style offense. I'm really not seeing anything new,we just added some motion, not a new play(s). If that is wrong then the question becomes if this IS Moore's offense and Fangios defense what job does Siri have? Calling mostly disastrous 4th down plays? So it has to be one or the other. Lanes comment calling the offense "constipated" is the perfect word for it. Moore would have Hurts under center ALOT more then we are seeing.Putting him under center, then running the RPO anyhow really is pointless
October 15, 20242 yr So we got NY this week not sure if on the road going to be a tough game being a division matchup and their D is probably underrated plus they always seem to play us tough…. Also have to add Nabers should be back against us and he has been looking pretty good for a rookie WR
October 15, 20242 yr Author 8 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said: Eagles' Offense Is Defaulting To What The QB Likes (msn.com) Read this again. The motion we started off with is going downhill. We default to "unexciting, bland, vanilla"(my words not theirs) because Hurts is comfy there. So the coaches are letting Hurts decide the game play and not teaching him anything new or else he is refusing to learn the new things that would improve his game. STILL no passes in the middle of the field BECAUSE we are allowing the QB to run the team decision making. If I was the coach,in practice I would put the WR's on the hash marks and tell Hurts to hit them BETWEEN those marks(and do it all week long). NO outside shoulder passes. He needs to learn this is part of the field of play and make those throws. This is where the slot and TE2 most likely will be found and he needs to get them involved on the INSIDE passing game where JJ ripped opponents new ones. Easier to defend Hurts when you know he's not throwing in the middle. It allows DB's a 50% better chance knowing which side he will throw to(the outside shoulder) therefore there is no need to defend the inside. It's an advantage for them. IDK that this team will ever get back to 100% healthy and moves need to be made to counter than lost production. You can't plug in WR4 and expect them to make the plays WR1 does, but you can scheme for them to find ways to get them open, you can't just plug and play unless you have outstanding BU's. Wilson seems like our best BU,but he isn't AJ. Forcing Hurts to play the middle of the field would open up plays with Smitty in the slot where he could do similar damage to what JJ does. Siri has more excuses than explanations he can fix. Stop the excuses and get to the execution part. I'm sick of the "we need to do better" speeches that happen weekly

No,they are catering to him(which is what I said) because he likes the college stuff and apparently refuses to graduate. So this means the progress has come to a stand still. This is the best Hurts we will ever see. He reached his ceiling/peak and won't go any further. What you see now is what you get until he is gone
October 15, 20242 yr Author 20 minutes ago, joemas6 said: How was the pass rush vs the Browns? The Browns, who are allowing the most sacks in the NFL, were the perfect antidote for a pass rush that needed a boost. Seven Eagleswere credited with at least a partial sack against Cleveland. The Eagles sacked Deshaun Watson five times, nearly doubling their 2024 output. Cleveland has a banged-up offensive line protecting a quarterback who isn’t playing well, so take the strong showing with that context in mind. Next up is the Giants’ Daniel Jones, who has been sacked 14 times, in the middle of the pack as far as the NFL’s starting quarterbacks go.
