Or maybe a team without discipline.
October 18, 20242 yr Team with no identity. Just blahhhh. Starts with the head coach. QB is really disappointing that he can’t improve reading a defense. That baffles me. I watched the game tonight. Amazes me to watch Chase Young. He has off the charts athleticism and looks like a beast….yet he plays like a lazy, talentless player. Afraid to get hurt? Truly just lazy? I don’t get it. Strange. Man, I hope Barkley runs for 250 yards and 3 or 4 TDs this Sunday!

Penn St would get destroyed by the worst NFL team and it wouldn’t be close. How many players on that Penn St team are going to be NFL players 10 maybe that probably high… Vs a roster of professional athletes

I guess I expect more as a fan from a group that is not ALL rookies. lol under 300 yards and only gave up NINE POINTS like what else do you want from them… The worst scoring O the nfl avg. more then 9 points a game and that Miami with 12 and no Tua

October 18, 20242 yr BTW....Hurts was MVP candidate doing exactly what he did Sunday when he had all you guys jizzing your pants about him. A string of those same games... open your eyes.

October 18, 20242 yr Author 10 hours ago, joemas6 said: But yet you want 31 points...when AJ, Smith and Lane are out? AJ,Smith and Lane are on offense?? Cleveland is a trash team with guys missing, yet you rave on about our superb defense. It wasn't. We got lucky that Watson still stinks and they had no RB's(Chubb comes back this week) and the ones that played were hurt. SO kudos for beating up a team similar to Penn state LOL. Now if you want to speak about offense that is a different subject, but let's not go bonkers that we had a stellar defense. No I can't expect 31 PPG with those 3 out,but that's another subject. This D isn't going to hold anyone else to 9 points. Now if you want to talk about offense we can do that
October 18, 20242 yr Author 11 hours ago, joemas6 said: Dude....big difference between college and pro..stop it. If our D was decent it would have been under 200...stop it. We were 1 or 2 plays away from blowing that game because like last years meltdown, this team is inept.(YAY we are 3-2) We played our best game week 1 against a valid opponent, then lost to 2 valid teams in ATL and TB. Siri and staff have not put this together on either side of the ball. Barkley seems uninterested after getting off to a hot start. Hurts not throwing any picks was a nice change but let's not kid ourselves that we are anywhere near the 12 win team I thought we would be(Ham predicted 10 and we may not even make that). Same boring plays, but with motion(Cleveland game aside). The fans who paid their money deserved better and booed. Siri should have just walked away. very immature for a coach who has not put all this together. If the defense plays like they did vs the Browns we may win 6 games if we can't get this offense untracked. As I said you can't run the same old plays with WR4,5 you do with 1,2 and there was no scheme change to help them produce. Another bad showing this week and the collapse may start early this year
October 18, 20242 yr Author https://www.profootballnetwork.com/cleveland-browns-vs-philadelphia-eagles-stats-box-score-nfl-week-6-2024/ Allowed them to stay right with us up until the 4th 1/4 impressive(lol) They rushed for about what we did(73 to 80 ,33 coming from Hurts) 73 yards from RB 4 and an old man. impressive(lol). Thanks to a few drops by them we ESCAPED impressive(lol). Nice job by Hurts having no TO's. If he had thrown 1 we could have lost. So hammer on,we stunk up the Linc on both sides of the ball. BTW AJ and Smith WERE back for that game
October 18, 20242 yr Author The Browns got as close as the three-yard line on their next drive, with Watson putting together his best stretch of the season with 11 consecutive completions in the second half. However, a pair of false starts pushed Cleveland back to the 13-yard line, causing Kevin Stefanski to settle for a field goal with all three timeouts still in the bag.
October 18, 20242 yr Author Browns were also 0-26 on 3rd conversions yet we allowed 2 back to back(lol). Anyway on to the Gnats. if we play this bad again we will lose

Carter maybe The talent gap between and nfl roster and a college team Is massive
October 18, 20242 yr I obviously don’t see things through the viewpoint of Hurts Hating like most here…..no idea why so much vitriol and venom could have been built up against such a player like him….he’s a big time talent yet still faced so much adversity and doubters all through college and the pros. He was runner up for the Heisman….yet wasn’t seen as a sure fire first round pick. Which at other positions? No big deal. But at QB not being viewed by all 32 teams as worthy of a first rounder is a major slight. Year after year we witness all these forced first round QB bad choices. Hurts wasn’t given anything as a pro. Didn’t just walk into a job opening and handed the reigns to the team. He earned his position. Rookie year he came right in day one handling himself to the upmost standards. He wasn’t Jalen Carter telling everybody how he’s the best and most talented player on the team. He wasn’t the Primma Donna QB that was so above all the other players. Wasn’t a guy that just saw his job concerning only O skill players…or just O side of the ball players even. That’s the first thing I noticed about Jalen Hurts as an Eagles…before I made any judgement about him as a pro….what I noticed was how our whole team responded to him. Saw DBs on a 3 win team start mixing it up and hitting guys again. My observations of all our players(minus Wentz) believed and knew Hurts was the guy. That’s the moment I started really looking into Jalen Hurts. He commanded/s his position as a franchise leader. How he carries himself on and off the field. Nobody out works him.
October 18, 20242 yr Now the size issue is double fold here. Hurts isn’t protocol QB height. Is what it is. But that is paired with our G and T are all enormous colossal giants(the good kind not the Jersey b17ch boys). Mailata is 6’ freakin 8”! Becton 6’7”! Lane and Dickerson are up there too….want to say they both are 6’6”…..which just proves what an obsessive hard core fan I am of this team to just know these details without looking them up. Anyway….those monsters provide tons of benefits….but there is the downside of the block the view of anything behind them….like 747s have to reroute….trees don’t get sunlight around these titans. Even a prototype QB that’s tall isn’t towering over our Oline. QBs job is to get it done regardless. So I’m not making excuses here. Just pointing out the obvious fact of the situation here. Any QB….not just your favorite target to tear down….is going to be limited in their view of the middle of the field especially in this pocket.

I’m fine with everybody throwing out a statement exaggerating to make a point ….if it’s rare and just that. But just constantly reading FL with these statements proclaiming how he/himself could come in and do the job. But his opinions just seem to actually reflect these opinions. It’s the kind of statements I’d probably say we’ve all done before. Just not so routinely and endlessly consistently.

Anyway on to the Gnats. if we play this bad again we will lose What I witnessed(surprised nobody else here seems to have acknowledged this) was we played the Browns tight and low risk. Pretty clearly just came into the matchup with a mindset of we could only lose by defeating ourselves in that game. So you guys need to understand those circumstances when making any leaps generalizing about this team.

Mahomes is 6’2, Russell Wilson 5’10, Murray 5’10, Tua 6ft, Brees was 6ft some many smaller QBs are coming into the league and they find ways to attack the middle of the field…. I don’t know if it Hurts, coaching, combo of both but it’s not hard to see when we don’t utilize such a massive area of the field we are limiting our offense… As a DC would you be concerned about our passing game over the middle??? Because it wouldn’t be my focus playing the Eagles
October 18, 20242 yr Everybody here I’m very sure knows all about my hatred for those Gmen. So no need to dive into all that any further. Those hated rivals were all hyped on their quality team in 2022. We beat them down with no mercy. Yet in 2023 they totally stunk, had a joke of a QB….Saquan was the sole O. Yet they challenged us. So what happened to our team? Our rivals best team in years we completely smoked in the playoffs in 2022. Then last year with some QB off the streets we had to struggle and fight to beat them.
