Seriously, how hard is to follow the suggestion to not talk about politics in here?

Sometimes we slip, I apologize.

I always thought the politics talk was just code for football talk. But so far all I've been able to crack is that trump supporters = cowboy fans.

Introducing the Seattle Kraken.  In my opinion, there is too much navy blue across pro sports.

One of your points was that the federal officers were needed to stop increasing violence in the inner cities.  That's not within the purview of Federal Law Enforcement.  If we are just talking about whether they can be there to enforce Federal law, sure they can.  Can they patrol streets in unmaked vans? I don't think they can without some probable cause that a Federal crime has been committed and the suspect is at large or probable cause that a Federal crime is about to be perpetrated.

Moving the football to a previous post.

It actually is and as a lawyer you should know that if  Fed sees someone commit a crime with a firearm the ATF or other Federal agencies can arrest them. So yes they can. They absolutely can patrol in unmarked vans. Again, as a lawyer you should know all about wiggle room. There are tons of Federal laws that can be applied.

For the protests it is even broader with the list I've posted many times.

That's your opinion...I have seen too many reports that suggest the opposite..I prefer to keep an open mind and discern from multiple sources

There are also quite a few getting detained and then charged with federal crimes...

There were 40 plus arrests and 18 charged, 13 of those were misdemeanors.  So 5 felony arrests.  https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-lot-people-jail-portland-protests-charged/story?id=71905497

As an attorney, I can say I don't know every law and I'm no criminal expert. I think what we will find is that the Courts will limit the scope of the authority.  I have said what I think and I don't think we're going to reach a consensus on this.

Sounds good to me.

I’m guessing their alternate jerseys are going to be amazing with a kraken.

I like the red touch in the logo but yeah that's a pretty dull uniform. Also, how close is that S logo to the Mariners?

The league is threatening that if the financials aren’t worked out by Sunday, they will continue the virtual work indefinitely.  MLB 2.0.

I feel like it’s closer to Seagrams lol

If I were an NFL owner, no way would I blend the salary cap to 2030.  If COVID goes into next season or the one after, then we'll be in the same position then and if the NFL TV deals aren't maximised, the NFLPA is being subsidised even more.  The players will have to take some of the hit on this one

Since when was Seattle getting a hockey team?

I really like the Space Needle and anchor combo, it works really well together.they should have gone with the lighter blue color as the primary for the uniform and the navy as the accent, IMO, but I get that for the logo itself it makes more sense this way.

It’s easy to forget amidst hockey and really the entire world coming to a screeching halt, but next summer there will be a new NHL team! Yes, the NHL’s 32nd team will take over in Seattle for the 2021-22 season, which means there’s another expansion draft coming, which means that the Flyers are going to lose a player.

Since like late December 2018

I’d be willing to bet the Flyers make voracek available in that draft. He’s going to be 32 at that point with 3 years left at 8.25 mil per.
