Think he has to demonstrate play calling abilities, especially in the passing game.

Not necessarily.  Unless the HC plans on calling plays like Doug, Kyle Shanahan, etc., they just need to know how to run a team.  You let all the coordinators do their jobs and you make sure everything is running the way you want.

I have no issues with Zach Ertz very good player. I just don't see it happening especially with him turning down being paid the highest tight end in the league this past year. He's going to want too much money which will force his way out.

It's just very rare you see a player play as entire career with one team. I'm not sure we see this happen with Zack unless he takes less money and then retires like Brent celek did instead of taking a different gig

If there is one shining example of a great player not finishing his career with 1 team it's Tom Brady.  We all thought he would retire as a Patriot.  So if it doesnt happen for guys like Brady and Manning, it most likely wont happen for Ertz.  2 of the greatest TE's ever Shannon Sharpe and Tony Gonzalez didnt finish their careers with 1 team.

Only way it happens for Ertz is if he retires before the Eagles either release or trade him within the next few years.

I think it is likely the top pick in next years draft tbh. Graham is going into the last year of his contract in 2021. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a down year if he’s a post June 1st cut along with potentially malik jackson next year.

Barnett hasn’t lived up to his drafting. Good chance if he doesn’t play well this year i could see him not being back either at that 10 mil price tag. sweat to me reminds me of Jaqua Parker. Not in terms of build or athleticism just in potential career arc. Solid player likely better in a backup role then starter but can give you starter reps from time to time but likely more effective as a rotational DE.

Didn’t love miller when we drafted him. Frankly i didn’t see him as a 4th round pick and didn’t see the upside as a developmental guy when watching him at penn state and reading up on him. I loved ostman as a backup DE but i feel that injury is going to hurt him. Avery has speed but i think he’s also just a backup. Curry is old and is a stop gap. Toohill i believe is a PS guy this year with upside

havent looked at the FA market next year for DE but of ngakoue reaches i have to believe if the eagles could figure their cap situation out they’d be players in that market as well as looking for one early in the draft.

And with college football most likely being canceled this fall, it'll be interesting come draft time how DE prospects are ranked.

True. I’m not sure he moves the needle enough for any other team to sign him though.

I like Rush more. A lot more. Like Mt. Rushmore.

yeah DE has to be the main focus of the offseason.

Possibly a #2 CB is next. Slay is already kinda old but even with him they likely need another starter.

WR is also likely a need. Out of our 3 WRs drafted, we will be lucky if 1 is a starter. And I love the picks, but thats just being realistic about the odds.

LB should be on the list too but we know its not.

This reasoning is one of the reasons why I would’ve been totally against trading their first round pick if they got someone like ngakoue (granted i wouldn’t have been thrilled if they gave up a first and had to pay him). However you can’t do that now to begin with even if you thought he was worth that because you can’t renegotiate his contract as the tag deadline passed. so you would have to wait until after the season and you’re not gonna risk a first round on that.

Frankly I wouldn’t give it up first anyways but I’m definitely not doing it at this stage.

How, the F... do they tell people he had a clean MRI and is day to day. Then find out he actually chipped some bone off when the patella slid out? Fing terrible.

Actually agree with all of this. I think corner is up there as well. Slay like you said isn’t young. Maddox likely moves back to slot corner of nrc leaves after this year. Jones if he does nothing is likely gone at the end of this year in addition to douglas too. Gonna need to add possibly two corners. It’s another big need.

id add safety depending on what happens with mills, parks. I think wallace has one spot covered long term cause i see him panning out.

id also say offensive line is a position they’d look at. Could potentially need another guard or center.

It’s the sixers I’m not the least bit surprised by this. The organization from ownership downward is a complete s-!tshow

That’s what Jim Lee Howell did, with great success. Of course it didn’t hurt that his coordinators were Vince Lombardi and Tom Landry.

Just be thankful he didn’t wait the three weeks then play and find out about the chipped bone cause that’s what usually happens with the Sixers docs.

Meet Trent Dilfer QB, let your OLine/RB and Defense do the heavy lifting and don't do anything to mess it up.

A little worried about Lane, Gerry and Mailata.  Past ten days since they went on the Covid list.  This virus can linger and cause other health issues.  They are clearly not contact listings and at this point seem to be illness listings.

I think Lane confirmed he had tested positive; likely the other two did as well — probably multiple positive tests to confirm the first reading.  They should isolate for a minimum of 14 days before there’s much point in even testing again.

I don't think he's even signed the tag yet.

It's possible though even if you're one of the best at your position. Megatron stayed with Lions. I actually thought he would end up going to another team to get a ring

I'm curious what they'll do about Jones. If there's no season will they just give him another year to prove it? If there is a season or even partially a season and he doesn't improve then I think he's gone. He was supposed to be a 1st rounder before the injury but hasn't shown that. Not sure when centers should be drafted but Eagles may need to draft Kelces replacement if they don't think he's already on the team. 2021 draft and offseason will be interesting. Looks like teams will have to look at part of spring 2020 and may even have to look at fall 2019 to look at draft prospects

According to that tweet doesnt have to be a piece of bone could be cartilege, which isnt any better.

Well Holy ish.  Let’s call Chip and Vick and be mediocre again.  Oh wait.

Lol. Well every comparison  is a challenge. I think comparisons will be easy to make because of the numbers on the WRs.

I can believe it. Several years ago i had an MRI and they told me i had a small tear in my ACL which they would fix when they cleaned out my knee.

When i woke up i was told i didn't have an ACL anymore. I was completely torn. I had originally hurt my knee in 1980 playing football in England.

Yup. He is the goalie we’ve been waiting decades for.

The Flyers are legitimate cup contenders. Get excited.
