Stupid question.  Don’t think Slay will be available for Kempski one on one interviews this season.  I suspect the BLGs and Kempskis of the reporting world are on the outside looking in with the media restrictions this year.

Sure, that said most of us would have traded careers with him in a heart beat.

I understand that surgeries and therapies have improved his physical condition a great deal. Still, that was a sobering thing to see.

If the Rock has any sense, he would have saved his money.

Yup.

Wentz #3, getting some DJ love

He and Slay together represent a huge upgrade to our secondary as much as we worry about the CB2 and safety situation.

Man I love Wentz but #3?

He's well past aging, but in a weird way he might have been one of the most under appreciated players in the past 10 years ability wise.  The dude in his prime could play any LB position in a 3/4 or 4/3 if asked. The fact that he switched to ILB at the age he did and produced like he did was simply astounding IMO.

Don't disagree.  Clay Matthews was a stud.  My sister is a huge Packers fan (I'm from Green Bay) so I've watched a few of their games and he was fun to watch.  Relentless player.  Not anymore though.  Pass.

Yeah.  The XFL is never going to work.  Just like any other secondary league people try to come up with.  You think a pandemic is going to make this a different story?  What ever Dwayne shelled out.  Vince got over on him.

I can’t believe anyone was willing to bail out McMahon on this especially during the pandemic. That said the rock has enough money where losing 15M doesn’t mean much to him. However still imo a poor investment at this time. In order for any league to have a chance at surviving (without the pandemic) need the nfl to view it as a type of minor league. You might have a chance with the nfl helping and backing it that way. Otherwise i think it would routinely fail. Even with what i said i think it’s likely geared to failing.

Still better than the nfl top 100 of 2020 ratings

Not bad.  Maybe switch some of the players on that list around a bit but works.  I do think Jackson and Murray need to show last year wasn’t a fluke.

The Rams played a ton of man-coverage under Wade Philips. NRC can handle both inside-outside responsibilities. NRC/Slay both understand pick routes against man, because teams ran a lot of them against both LA/Detroit. We've been more zone-focused in 2018 & 2019, so Maddox/Jones aren't used to it as much. Seattle in particular hit us with lots of picks.

Zone or man, I do expect teams to attack Maddox/Jones and safety #2. Why throw at Slay or NRC?

Maybe, maybe not.  I actually enjoyed some of the spring leagues.  It was like going to minor league games. I think it is a mistake to put them in major markets.  San Antonio, Memphis, Portland, smaller markets that are itching for teams.  And one team would be the Canton Bulldogs playing at the HOF stadium.  If he does it right, the XFL could be a supplemental farm system for the NFL and maybe even the CFL.

Jerimaha has a few guys on his top 8 who combined have as many playoff wins as I do.

Not a fan of his , my top prospect guy would be jim nagy .

Idk i live out in AZ watched a ton of cardinals games. I think he’s good but people out here think he’s the next Russell Wilson and evening a notch below mahomes. A lot of his statistics came in garbage time and for all the weapons he has their oline is still not very good. i think he’s good especially with having Hopkins but his oline still stinks and i don’t trust drake to do what he did after that trade all season. And he definitely has decision making flaws in his game. Unlike Wilson he also takes more hits than Wilson and is smaller than Wilson

i think Murray is a good QB but he’s being vastly overrated by a lot of people out here in AZ and the media

While losing college football is disappointing, I'd be more than happy to get more NFL games on Saturdays.

If there is one sport that just can't happen without fans in the stands it's college football.  Half of what makes college football so great is the atmosphere, the traditions, bands, dance teams, the highs and lows of the home team...if just wouldn't be college football without that.

The NHL is on par with playoff hockey.  Safe to say NHL playoff atmosphere is tough to match.

Nhl imo has been the best of the three leagues going on right now. The games for the most part have been super competitive and feels like playoff hockey. Aesthetically it’s felt the closest thing to a normal setting and game. I’m guessing the nba feels more like playoff basketball when it starts but really the 8 games prior don’t really have much excitement for me. (Also it just feels like there’s been way more basketball injuries compared to the NHL— i don’t have the numbers but just feels that way)

I agree.  I haven't watch 1 second of the NBA, I'm just not on board with their messaging.  Baseball is baseball to be honest.  Until games really heat up the fans are relatively quiet.

I'm happy watching the Flyers games.

Same. I think the speed of the game helps a ton with hockey too as far as aesthetics. The puck and players are almost always moving and keeps you entertained where in baseball you have pauses everywhere and notice empty seats or weird cardboard cutouts.

Agreed. The NHL has the best playoff sport.

Losing the crowd has been disappointing, but the intensity is still there. A lot of college games are not competitive, so it'd be hard to keep up the intensity.

I like Nagy, but he’s such a shill for all Senior Bowl players that his analysis gets lost.

The message doesn’t bother me. My bigger issue with the NBA is most of the games even when they’ve been close have been sloppy. I hear people talk about oh my god it’s so good because of the fact they haven’t playEd for months. It looks exactly the same way it does when they start the season every year at the end of October. Yes  some close games With drama but it’s definitely not top-tier basketball. It’s very sloppy at times which is to be expected not playing for 4.5 months. Then you add on some teams know their seeding already so they’re not playing their guys like they normally would until the playoffs start.

The NHL got it right because they jumped into it with everything on the line for the 5-12 seeds. And you got the round robin with the top four teams playing each other. so you’re getting the best of the best and glimpses of what it would look like in a deep playoff run If teams made it through. The intensity was there from the start.

Maybe it’s because I’m forced to watch the Phillies, but  It’s definitely more noticeable then of the three sports because of the pauses and because it’s a slow moving type of game. Even with the seventh inning games with the doubleheaders you still notice it way more often than any other sport.

The NBA when I watch it it just feels like more Talented summer league games. That’s how it’s constructed and that’s how it feels when I’m watching it.

I'm not kidding when I didn't know the Eagles were actually practicing.  Leave it to them to give us 56 seconds of "highlights" when there is absolutely no access for fans or the media.  They have the absolute worst staff when it comes to content.  Look at Tampa Bays website compared to the Eagles.  It's absolutely pathetic.  I've been pretty vocal on the boards about my displeasure with the lack of coverage, photos, videos and not more TCL but this is just plain out bad.
