I will be shocked if there is football.  Between opt outs and positive tests already, and TC has not even started.

Daily testing is the only way to pull this off as currently constructed.

They will be fine, it will just sharpen the minds and reiterate that you cannot take any shortcuts.  One last beer in a bar or whatever can have an unintended surprise...

Good for that guy... What is the point of him saying that?

8 can't be right.  Did this guy just decide not to include playoff games?  Because he's missed 6 of those due to injury in 3 consecutive seasons (last season was a fluke).  That's where the criticism falls.  I blindly stick up for Wentz at all turns, but this is a dumb tweet.

Wentz has been in the nfl a year longer than Deshaun Watson has and has still missed less games than him

His criticism is enhanced because his season has abruptly ended 3 times in a row.  Deshaun Watson's only ended once.

Kaye shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near the Novacare until he tests negative three times.

Wasn’t he just at the OL summit where everyone had to be tested to attend? That wasn’t very long ago.

It was his summit, he organizes and runs it. And they did those stupid rapid tests that probably don't work

Probably defending Lane from the immediate backlash of being unsafe.

This is regular season games.  I am sure you could add playoff games to some of those other guys as well.

So does Mailata have it as well or are they stashing him for a 3rd year?

Its a temporary list. You can't stash players on it. He either tested positive or was exposed to someone that tested positive.

Nate Gerry is the Eagles best LB, so Davion Taylor isn't wrong. Also, Taylor modelling his game after Jones is exactly what we want to hear.

How long do they stay on the list after testing positive?

I mean if he's going to get it, better now than in the middle of the season.

Until they are cleared and deemed healthy. The NFL wont comment on if they actually tested positive or are just in isolation, and haven't publicly specified what it will take to get off the list. Probably multiple negative tests.

I've been saying it and saying it: this season will not happen. Football involves a lot of guys in close quarters and there's no getting around it. Piping noise into empty stadiums is kind of Madden, isn't it? A guy gets quarantined now, only a few people are directly involved. Once they get in the locker room, everything changes.

It. Just. Won't. Happen.

What about at other levels? It has to be more of the same, doesn't it? Only more so?

@HazletonEagle had a great post - at the bottom of Page 68 - that I refer you all to. Just a great post. I quote here in part:

"Secondly, if all of these NFL players are opting out someone is telling them that the risks outweigh the prospect of being paid MILLIONS of dollars. In high school, that level of Benefit does not exist in their weighing of risk:benefit. How can it be so dangerous that people are turning down millions of dollars to play professionally, yet somehow it makes sense for high school players to play just for fun?"

I just have a feeling that every team, every week, is going to have a couple players on that list. And the teams with the best depth will be the ones who can weather the storm the best.
