So we put you in the camp that thinks we will have massive increases in heavy US manufacturing within 12 months?

China will fold, they can't compete with us long term and we all know Trump isn't folding. They know it too. Braindead idiots like Obama, Biden, and Kamala would never do anything like this. Just like immigration. Just like the woke DEI trash. Just like every foreign relation limp-wristed failure the Dems have caused. Ah yes. All those great trade concessions we've gotten. Remind us what those were again?
April 9, 2025Apr 9 @Mike31mt if manufacturing comes back the only way they are going to be good paying jobs is if they are union jobs. FYI
April 9, 2025Apr 9 https://x.com/LHSummers/status/1909926101133983870 Developments in the last 24 hours suggest we may be headed for serious financial crisis wholly induced by US government tariff policy. https://x.com/CNN/status/1909932908581617742 China announces retaliatory tariffs of 84% on US imports, further inflaming the trade war between the world's two biggest economies
April 9, 2025Apr 9 Can we please reflect on the statement that anyone against taxes on American importers is a "Commie" Words just don't have any meaning anymore

Yeah it was always going to move that way, China is relying on Trump being a pushover like most other presidents. The US is never going to get back to 1900s era manufacturing and will never have a trade surplus because we buy so much ish. But the imbalance and trade practices with China must be addressed. I'm just waiting for the "but they're communists and don't care if their people starve to death" line that everyone always parrots when they're afraid of China.

Now he’s begging Congress to bail him out. https://x.com/sofiakinzinger/status/1909808406841479296 There you go, this will be the key move that will be used to claim victory by the WH once other countries try to negotiate. The truth is that these tariffs were never meant to foster trade. Trump’s intention has always been to STOP trade. https://x.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1909942519179116648 He voted for this. And losing a fortune daily.
