Part of me wants to just hold him out through the bye. Hammys can linger for the season.

Instead they spent money on a player that's been either misused or suddenly sucks

The only thing they'd be on the hook for is the signing bonus. His guaranteed option bonus for next year would move to the Jets.

Also, no chance Howie gives up on Huff after 3 games.

The only way we would get Reddick would be to send the Jets a pick (maybe the one they sent us) if they eat a chunk of his money, and no chance the Jets do that. Reddick is going to have to show up around week 10 to get credit for the year.

Yea, that's what I would think. For some reason Spotrac says we are on the hook for that 2025 option bonus. I'm kinda confused why that would be unless it's because it was already exercised? Don't know.

OTC say's they aren't on the hook for the 2025 option bonus and just the signing bonus. Although this line in the details gave me extreme pause

So do you think God called Howie and told Howie to tell Nick to call, or did God call Nick directly?

What am I thinking.  God called Big Dom.

Alec Hallaby created an AI God to deceive him.

If I had to guess, this is the last practice before the bye so they just wanted to test it a little bit to see how he feels/responds since after the game the players usually have a week off. I don't know if he'll be playing, this was just a walkthrough after all.

Can we get losses to the Lions & Steelers?

Even without those injuries. Cowboys aren’t playing good football.

I'd rather pay $25 million for sacks than $17 million for no pressure at all.  I was OK with it all when it happened because I thought Huff would be almost as good.  But he ain't so gimme Reddick back.

That is my preference too.  Especially given the Cowboys' injury situation.

I'm still holding out hope that the team eventually starts having two-score leads in the second half and Huff will be able to provide some impact.

Not sure if this was posted earlier...

I'd like to know how many times he's been stoned by a TE.  Numerous times he can't even beat a TE which should be a huge mismatch.  Or have we forgotten Reddick easily  beating a TE to destroy Purdy.

Damn @Joe Ball, settle down. It's just a game!!!!

The much bigger issue with the Dallas run game is playing a rookie at LT who never played LT in college, and a rookie at C who never played C in college. Guyton and Beebe may end up being great players (I am higher on Beebe), but taking 2 rookies and playing them out of position is a disaster for a team that wants to actually compete. Guyton is learning on the job and he has some good moments and some bad ones; the consensus on him coming out was that he wouldn't be ready to play right away. Add in that Steele is a below average RT, and this is why I thought Dallas would regress this year.

People get hung up on the RB, but the OL is the key. Sanders and Swift made pro bowls behind our line, and now both have gotten benched with their new team.

No doubt and by no means did I mean to discount that with my post.

But they have one has been and a few never was to tote the rock. Get some young talent back there and maybe SOMETHING will happen.

Instead they have their newly extended star WR running multiple end arounds last night.

Aikman really was ticked off at Lawrence Taylor for all those sacks!

You know you're really taking a beating when the chick doesn't even need to jump in there to protect the other guy.  Nice of the rest of those Giants fans just to stand there and watch; I guess when your team has lost to Dallas 15 times in a row even their fans run the place.

The money spent on Huff is vastly different than the money Reddick is looking for, on the wrong side of 30.

Cool, but Reddick isn't looking for $25M.  He views himself on Bosa's level amd is looking for Bosa money.  I'd rather the Eaglea be able to lock up all the guys with extensions in theor 20s that they did this past offseason and be able to being in a guy like Barkley then pay Reddick somewhere in the ball park of $34M per year for Reddick who is on the wrong side of 30 and we have already had the best the best season he's ever going to have.

@vikas83 & @paco

I love both takes on the situation with DAL, 100% my thoughts as well. They’re in trouble, this year isn’t the year.

All of the articles I'm seeing are saying he wants around $25M

Bro... why do you want to hold him through out the bye?   That's a little clingy.

Or both.   He might be better as a trash can.
