Yeah it sucks that they're getting a bad rep because there are so many honest churches that do so much good in their communities. But as is always the case, all it takes is a handful of sheety ones to ruin it for everyone.

Making crap up is making crap up. The supposed "holy father" shouldn't be making up fake scriptures considering it's his day job. But yeah him doing so is worse. I guess he missed the scripture that nobody should add or remove things from scriptures in the bible.

He is the Sec of War not a religious leader. Was it AI or did he say it? I may not agree with him saying it or using it that way, but when someone called "the Holy Father" ignored the scripture saying don't add or remove things from the New Testament and breaks that in his official capacity to add rhetoric to a scripture it's worse in my mind.

i'm not even debating what was said vs what's in the bible at all.

my point is, the sec of defense is using scripture to justify war and the killing of innocent people.

Scripture is also, per the church, open for interpretation as it is an ancient document. His interpretation is absolutely valid especially considering....well...he is the the POPE!!!
