1) We would have needed to ATTACK them EVENTUALLY because they were marching toward a position where they could overwhelm defenses in the region.

2) We had to go NOW because ISRAEL had decided they were going in now and if they did we would have been FORCED to defend against Iranian attacks on our facilities in the region.

Kinda. You don't hate the Jews you just want to blame them for everything? The guy who talked about Trump having them turn their planes around makes a great point. If Trump didn't want it it wouldn't have happened. This happened because they walked into negotiations saying we can make 11 and essentially they weren't stopping.

Just yesterday we were fools for believing anything Iran says, including the murder of schoolchildren. Now they claim nuclear capabilities everybody knows they don't and won't have and our government is telling us to take it as cold hard fact...

Maybe I should huff a whip cream canister so it makes sense.

This feels like the last resort they tell the followers to just claim someone hates jews if they disagree with Israel and US bombing Iran because Israel is war hungry

No, but when you listen to the clips from Rubio and the ones from today it's clear. Trump asked them to wait in the past and they have. They would have again. When you roll into negotiations and are cocky the way they seem to be Trump said F it and went.

You have this backward. Rubio was the one blaming the Jews for the timing. He may be trying to walk that back now but it is out there.

Do you know why he put that out there? He is trying to establish a reason for the timing of the attack so that it can't be construed as illegal under US law. That's the entire reason he positioned it that way. The problem for Rubio is that it didn't go over well politically.

Iran is such a perfect distillation of the Trump years. He tore up a deal that was actually controlling their nuclear program because Democrats bad (DieHard talks about TDS nonstop but nothing has ever been more ODS than tearing up that deal), had no plan on what to do afterwards but assumed he'd be long gone by the time it came to a head. Now the chickens have come home to roost and he was hoping he could just hit them hard, grab headlines, claim victory and then run away again, putting off any consequences, but once again he's realizing that the ME isn't that simple and now he's faced with two terrible choices, neither of which anyone wants and all because his own litany of F ups.
