I dunno, I think it's damn close.

Smith, Brown, Goedert- 17 TDs and roughly 2400 yards combined in 36 games.

LaPorta, Williams, St. Brown- 26 TDs and roughly 3100 yards combined in 48 games.

St. Brown vs. AJ Brown with AJ adjusted to 17 games.      St. Brown- 1263 yards 12 TDs        AJ Brown- 1411 yards 9 TDs

Williams vs. Smith with both adjusted to 17 games.            Williams- 1134 yards 8 TDs            Smith- 1089 yards 10 TDs

LaPorta vs. Goedert adjusted to 17 games.                         LaPorta- 771 yards 7 TDs              Goedert- 843 yards 3 TDs (Saints game REALLY inflates his numbers)

                                                                                              3168 yards 27 TDs                         3343 yards 22 TDs

You can't get much closer to that. Detroit's big 3 has the Eagles on TDs and the Eagles big 3 has them on yards. What's more important? 5 more TDs, or 175 yards?

There is a reason for all of that…

Hurts still one of the youngest as he enters the postseason for the 4th time already with a Super Bowl runs under his belt.

Hell, he's 30 TDs behind Carson Wentz with 11 more games played.

How many more rushing TD's does Hurts have vs. Wentz?  Just curious......

Would be interesting to see what mcnabb’s stats would be with 3-4 years of having Brown and Smith

There would be a lot of dead worms, for sure.

Hurts has 55 "rushing" TDs. Wentz has 11.

32 of Hurts 55 rushing TDs have been less than 2 yard tush push plays. Seeing Kenny Pickett score a TD on a tush push and then Tanner McKee convert 1st downs on the tush push should show that the play is mostly successful due to how the Eagles running it, not the QB running it. Carson Wentz nearly perfect at the tush push. It's the OL. It's the RB and the TE pushing from behind.

Former offensive lineman and current NFL analyst Brian Baldinger covered the topic in one of his "Baldy Breakdowns" and revealed the Eagles were 36-of-38 running traditional sneaks with Carson Wentz under center. The common denominator, Baldinger said on X, formerly Twitter, for the Eagles is having an elite center up front.

Here's a video the Eagles put together prior to the Rams game this year when Hurts had 52 TDs. The next 3 TDs were all 1-yard tush push TDs. Hurts has had some incredible TD runs. Many of them were his first few years. You can gradually see the tush push progress as the Eagles perfect how to run it.

On one side, I see your thoughts on the "tush push" but any rushing TD takes away the need for a passing TD in the redzone.....so you still have to account for that when comparing.

It could, but it also takes the hands out of the running backs.

For as good as Saquon has been, he "only" has 13 TDs. Gainwell has added 1.

Gibbs and Montgomery have a combined 28 in Detroit.

The tush push works, that's great. I just have a hard time saying that those 32 TDs Hurts has because of it make him a good QB.

Less to do with quarterbacking and more to do with squatting and a powerful offensive line.

Anyone know what face value is for an upper level playoff ticket?

Charlie Weiss isn't even remotely comparable to Ben Johnson.

I agree it is too early in Johnson's career to know if he will be even close to Weis was.  Weis was a very successful OC at multiple stops.  He had teams that lacked the talent the Lions have and found ways to plug in players and have success.  Weis was a very good play caller and an excellent coordinator.  Ben Johnson just hasn't done that much.

Well he never learned how to put arc on a deep ball until TO got here…

It was frustrating when he would throw line drive darts for the 5 yard screen passes that should have been thrown lighter with touch, preferably ahead of Westbrook so he could continue running.

I was curious, so I followed up on this.  Below are the HOF quarterbacks on the teams that were around when the Super Bowl started (some have more than one).  All but three franchises, Philly, Giants, and Cardinals, have a HOF QB.  Eli will be there soon for the Giants and I could count Paddy Driscoll from the 1920's for the Cardinals.

These are generally the best QBs in their respective franchise's histories.  Will Hurts ever really belong with these names?

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.  McCarthy's contract expires on January 14, at which point teams won't need to ask permission from DAL any longer.  It'd be a pretty 'scummy' thing to do (using an RTK word) to deny McCarthy an interview opportunity then not extend his contract; one would think they'd have fired him by now if they didn't intend to bring him back.

This has the appearance of McCarthy wanting to see what is out there before he signs on to return to Jerry World.  It's probably sensible for both sides to part company under those circumstances, but neither Jerry nor McCarthy can best be described as sensible by default.

If Hurts wins a couple rings then he would get in.  Similar to how Aikman got in.  Aikman's stats are quite a bit behind McNabb but those rings talk.

Jerrah making sure to get attention even though his team is out of the playoffs.

Interesting age factoid: Of all the playoff QBs to start over 11 games and throw for under 3,000 yards, Hurts is both the youngest and oldest.

I'm wondering for when they go on sale tomorrow.  Thinking about trying for a pair.

Thanks
