Eagles will probably need to win out to get the 1 seed, so every game could be important.

Yeah, they have to play and hope for the best, but if they stay healthy it doesn't really matter where they go at this point. Nobody is scary after the horrible injuries to the Lions. It's a shame, but I can't see how a team can sustain those injuries and still be the same.

There is a very light silver lining scenario where the Lions and Vikings don't lose again through week 17.  They would be playing each other for the division and the #1 seed week 18.

We would have no chance to get the #1 seed at that point.  We would be able to rest our starters against the Giants.

Our best hopes once again reside with the Packers on the road. I don't see that happening. Who knows what happens in SF with the Lions being so beat up, but I'd bet the #1 is out of reach at this point. Doesn't matter if they stay healthy.

The Giants just want the season to end. They wouldn’t even have the pleasure of trying to play spoiler. I could very easily see Pickett, Gainwell, Shipley, and Johnny Wilson beating them.

The problem is that if the Vikings lose a game before week 18 and the Lions don't, they have no chance to win the division by beating the Lions week 18.

They would likely rest their starters, or maybe just play them for a half.

I honestly see a lot of that in the facebook groups I'm in. They're more pro Hurts than RTK. Wouldn't shock me if I check and see people reposting that and praising Hurts as GOAT

Do you go to those groups for an argument, abuse, or just to get hit on the head?

Between the PS call ups and the 53-man roster backups, could we sit all the starters/important contributors?  I figure, yes.

Facebook groups suck for sports fans. A lot of the pages remove anything negative so it's a bunch of homers overhyping the team. It's not good for discussion.

Remember Kelce wasn’t even Kelce until year… 6?

Kelce struggled with bigger NT's early in his career. He also struggled with holding.  He was pretty good about a lot of things early.

It's a shame they aren't playing tougher teams than the Bears and 49ers. I think their offense will still be able to carry them even with losing one of the two headed monster. If you told any of us before the season the Eagles would have 2 or 3 losses none of us would have believed they wouldn't be hosting, but they still may.

I know people disagree, but I'd rather seen the Lions get the #1 vs the Vikings. I think the latter will handle their business and host while the Lions could be one done after one with the injuries sending the NFCCG to Philly. To me that's looking like the best shot to get it. Then again, the Lions are still the most dangerous outside of the Bucs to the Birds. Them not getting any rest could be good as well. It will work the way it should.

Kenny G has had some really nice plays this year, could he be worth retaining? He's not some huge talent but he's competent in all three phases of rb

Feels like he has been impactful a majority of the few times he has touched the ball, this season.

Seems like the Vikings are repeating their 2017 season with Keenum. Darnold will be violently fraud checked in the playoffs.

Is that good for hits/traffic, I figure that would just create a boring echo chamber...

I haven't seen a defense as physically dominating on those first two drives since the 99 Bucs or 91 Eagles. The Steelers adjusted, but the Eagles imposed their will on them the first two times they had the ball.

The '91 Eagles...Reggie, Clyde the Glide, Jerome.  :groovy:

There is an alternate universe where Harris doesn't drop the toss and the Steelers tie the game.  Or where we don't benefit from unsportsmanlike and tripping personal fouls.

The defense was awesome at the beginning of the game, but the Steelers started to figure things out.  They started to run at our perimeter.  Wilson had some big scrambles.

The offense holding on the ball was a huge part of the defense's success.

Sometimes AJ will get a guy wrapped around him, shrug him off and stumble for 4-6 more yards before he falls over. PFR might count that as a successful tackle but that’s silly. He’s had a lot of those this year

Almost EVERY time he touches the ball he is shedding someone or dragging someone.  He is a beast.

I was in most before the Hurts fans took over and the discussions were more levelheaded

Hell no. Make the Lions play outside in the Linc in January.

I'm not so sure the Lions make it to the NFCCG with all their injuries. 12 defensive players in IR.

That’s earth 666

tbh i think there’s also the dejean fumble and cjgj knocks down the pass to freiermuth instead of trying to pick it that goes another direction in another universe.

Imo the thing I’d like is to keep getting better at is keeping containment. I don’t think we did a good job vs. Carolina. We were better against the Steelers but Daniels will exploit it more this week if we don’t keep containment.

Complementary football.

Add on losing Montgomery. Still have Gibbs however they like to not overwork him to keep him fresher. Montgomery had 1100 yards on the year. he’s a nice weapon when they get inside the 5 (had 12 tds). Probably means more Gibbs, st. Brown and Laporta

I'm just going to post this again -- the final drive to kill off 10.5 minutes to end the game was the most dominating thing I have seen in a long time. Doing it against that defense, against a Mike Tomlin team...I'm still in awe.

The difference in attitude and toughness this year vs. last year is insane.

Why did the nfl flex the bills patriots to 4:25? Lol

IMO (just attitude) stems from the defense and having belief in them to get the job done. They are good at setting tones and it allows the offense to not always have to be perfect. I feel like last year if the offense wasn’t perfect, we kind of knew we were in serious trouble.

last drive was just eagles started poorly with the penalty but after that it was damn near perfect and capped off by gainwell
