This right here is why football is the only sport I enjoy watching more than playing. It would drive me nuts to only play approximately half of the game every game.

Depending on what position you're playing, baseball was that way for me.  It's great if you're pitching or playing first base because you're busy; being left-handed I was never put at the other infield spots.  The outfield can be bad -- you're just standing there until the ball gets hit your way, and you only get to bat every 2-3 innings..

I can't seem to hate him enough.  He keeps getting worse.

Same. I stopped playing baseball when I was 12 because I’d play the first 3 innings at 2nd or 3rd then have to sit.

I mostly quit because I couldn’t hit the ball but I like to tell myself it was because it was boring

If this season has taught me anything, it’s that QBs are EXTREMELY overpaid.

Did it really take this season to teach you that?  Its been getting crazy out of hand for quite a few years. The highest paid QB is currently Dakota.  Hilarious!

I said it in another thread, but I can’t believe that the offense had the ball for over 10 minutes late in the 4th quarter and they didn’t come away with any points!  Just pathetic! 🤣

Its like they weren't even trying.  In fact, at the end, I think they made that painfully obvious.  Lost yards for 3 straight plays and they were smiling about it.

Isn't he eligible after his third season (2025)?

That would be the 2026 offseason by my way of counting it.

Mahomes faking these ankle injuries for clout.

He's always wanted to be Willis Reid or Kirk Gibson.

Mahomes has turned into one of the most insufferable athletes. Dude complains more than any QB in the NFL, he foul baits all the time. Dude will do that sideline run 5 times per game where he tries to time stepping out as the defender has already launched to try and draw a penalty. Then not only does he foul bait, but he puts on a big performance with every bump and bruise.

Kaiser Soze.

Yeah I have KC Chief fatigue. I hope the Bills kick their arse in the Playoffs.

Honestly, if we're not going to win the SB it's truly anyone else but the Chiefs. Would be happy for the Bills, Ravens, Lions, Vikings, etc.

Nah, Minnesota can still F right off.  So can the Niners.

Detroit would be a cool story.  Wouldn't be mad at Baltimore.  I can't decide if it would be better to watch Buffalo win one, or watch them screw it up at the last second again.

Bills, Lions, or Texans for me

Ranking of who I want to see win the SB this year:

1. Eagles
2. Bills
3. Detroit

So yeah, if the Eagles don't win it then the Bills are the next team I'd like to see win it instead and then if they don't win it then Detroit would be who i'd like to see win it.

Eff the Niners.

But we beat the Vikings in the NFCCG AND won a SB in their building. That's the best possible revenge.

I could handle that.

All very true.  But this version of them reminds me a LOT of that 2018 team with Case Keenum.  Much too much for me to feel ok about watching them do anything other that implode again.

Of course Mr. Fankle is ok…I’m only surprised he didn’t milk it for a bit longer.

I can’t have the Eagles lose a SB to the Bills.  If the Eagles don’t go to the SB, I want the Bills to win.  But Eagles losing to Bills in a SB would not be acceptable for me.  I’d never speak to my wife again.

It's pretty crazy when you think about how this down year for Mahomes actually makes him look better overall

Down year and he's 9th in passing TDs

10th in passing yds

Still above 90 rating

I'd disagree with the highlighted though. Too many teams want the first round QB to perform right away and throw him to the wolves. Very few actually make it

Yeah, he’s the best player of his generation, so even a "bad” year is pretty good.

As far as rookies, sure bad teams throw them to the wolves, but almost every year 1 or 2 look good.

I just think you can almost manufacture an above average starting QB with a journeyman backup/fringe starter, a reclamation project from some other team’s top 10 pick, and a top 100 rookie pick.

put those three guys on a team with good coaching and resources dumped into the OL, skill players and defense, and I think you go to the playoffs almost every year. Then once in a while you’ll catch lightning in a bottle and go the distance.
