Mahomes has turned into one of the most insufferable athletes. Dude complains more than any QB in the NFL, he foul baits all the time. Dude will do that sideline run 5 times per game where he tries to time stepping out as the defender has already launched to try and draw a penalty. Then not only does he foul bait, but he puts on a big performance with every bump and bruise.

I wish when he did that stupid Fing sideline dance that someone would just take one for the team and give him the ol Sean Taylor v Brian Moorman in the Pro Bowl treatment. Take the fine, take the suspension, make that Fing fairy think twice about doing it again

If Gb beats Minnesota then Minnesota loses divisional tiebreaker to lions unless lions lose to Chicago this week. Minnesota would have 2 divisional losses and lions if they beat the bears the most they could have if Minnesota beats them is 1. So if lions are 14-2 and Minnesota is 13-3 the game is meaningless for the Vikings as they can’t win the division or one seed cause of divisional record tiebreaker. So I’m guessing they rest guys week 18 as they are locked into the 5 seed

If MIN loses to GB, wouldn't they need to win against DET to keep the 5th seed?

Isn't there a way they fall to the 6th and GB overtakes them?

Even if that's possible, why risk starters for the 5 seed over the 6 seed? 6 vs. 7 is a way bigger difference.

Coaches don't think like that, not really. If there is seeding on the line and even a remote chance at a home game, they normally go for it.

I can’t have the Eagles lose a SB to the Bills.  If the Eagles don’t go to the SB, I want the Bills to win.  But Eagles losing to Bills in a SB would not be acceptable for me.  I’d never speak to my wife again.

My grandmother, who gave me my name, was from Buffalo, so I would be cool with the Bills winning.  I’d clearly prefer the Eagles, but if it has to be the Bills winning over the Birds, I will take that medicine.

It was but sounds like it may not be so sure now.

Could also just be "if they make the SB he has an outside chance” thing. But not putting him on IR seems weird.

Would the team have announced by now if they are opening the practice window for Huff this week?

If GB wins out and Minnesota loses to GB and lions then GB would have the same divisional record and conference record so i think it’d go by strength of schedule or common opponent.

tbh i think Minnesota would care more about resting guys and being healthy for the wild card round then holding the 5 or falling to the 6 seed. The 5 seed currently faces Rams in LA. The 6 seed faces the Bucs in Tampa. Imo I’d say Minnesota rather play in a dome but Tampa in January isn’t exactly cold playoff weather. Only way you get a home game is if both lions or eagles lose and you beat the other in the divisional round which is unlikely both occur. I’d venture an injury like what happened to aj brown week 18 last year is a bigger concern and Vikings haven’t had a bye week since week 6. So they likely could use the rest

Eagles need to take care of business and the we probably have to root for Vikings to beat Seattle and GB and have lions lose to bears or niners then cheer for lions week 18.

If they were normal, yes.

But they will announce it 1 minute before they have a practice.

in all seriousness, I think he’ll be out longer. The wording when he first got surgery was more along the lines of they hope he is back for the playoffs, not he will or be back before.

Yep, said something similar a while back. We can't just keep giving QBs massive increases, it's just not sustainable. Build a power house roster, cycle through QBs that are game managers, move on. Jalen Hurts is closer to game manager than he is elite QB and his contract is middle of the road now, where it belongs.

I’d even just cycle through first round draft picks every 4 years. Get a guy, groom him for a year, you get him for 3+1 seasons at cost control, then just draft a guy before that option year to develop behind him for a year.

Wash repeat.

Real question is who's snaps is he taking? I think the rotation is playing fine right now. Hunt is gaining VALUABLE experience while contributing and more importantly, not being a liability. Smith is coming in to his own. Sweat is having his best production in a few years. I don't want Huff disrupting their rotation just because he's healthy. Leave him on IR for all I care.

I spent a significant portion of my youth in Michigan. Back then, the Lions were good. Alex Karras, Bobby Layne, Joe Schmidt, Lem Barney, Night Train Layne, Yale Larry, et al. Barry Sanders came later. Since I moved, they’ve sucked. Clearly my fault. Anyway, if we don’t win the SB, I want the Lions.

I wouldn’t mind them, either. Similar fan base and dynamic to Philly.

But, if it’s close, I’m hoping for the AFC team. Plus Josh Allen — what a player!

Yep. There's going to be a team that figures it out. Brock Purdy is projected to get $60 million/year. There's NO WAY he's worth that. If I'm the Niners, I'm moving on from him rather than committing to him.

Out of the 5 Georgia Bulldogs on defense, Ringo is the only one who can't see the field.

Is he just not that good or is there just too many in front of him? Maybe if Slay isn't on the team next year he will get more of an opportunity.

Yea, I don’t disagree. He seemed to play better with the cast than without it.

does special teams count??
Too many in front of him.. he’s still pretty young too..

I think just too many men. Fangio recently said Ringo was neck to neck with Rodgers, it’s just Rodgers showed slightly more consistency in practice so he got the nod whenever Slay is out. He’s also pretty limited to just outside CB so that limits it as well.

Yep.  The Giants were on to something with the contract they gave Daniel Jones.  Problem is they gave it to Daniel Jones.

It’s not that ball control and defense are the best way to win.  It’s that you can build a better top to bottom roster by not blowing all resources on the qb and then having that philosophy.

I think it is the best way to win.

Basically, unless you have 1 of the 2 or 3 best players in the NFL, like say Brady or Manning, or nowadays Mahomes or Allen, it simply isn’t feasible to create a pass first, dynamic offense with a defense good enough to win.

So, given the chance of getting one of those guys comes up every 6 or so years, and then you have to be the 1 team in 32 to get him, it’s simply a lower probability of building a Super Bowl team, and thus a worse strategy than building a run heavy, ball control team that any competent QB could take deep into the playoffs.

Same, but the Bills are the AFC team that I'm a fan of. IDK why I started being a fan of them, it just sort of happened at some point during the years that they were really bad, maybe it was a lovable losers thing, but now they aren't a bad team anymore.

It’s going to be like every trend — the numbers show it’s the right thing to do, but every GM is going to be sh**less of losing his job when he tells the owner their biggest ticket draw just got traded for draft picks.

Eventually a younger version of Roseman will go to a younger version of Lurie, propose this, and that young dynamic owner will give the go-ahead to the young dynamic GM. Then they have to find a HC who is dynamic enough to go along with it.

That’s three people willing to take a lot of risk, but the first trio to get on the same page with this should have a huge advantage.

Do You mean Norfolk State?

Cousins has been stinking up the joint but u was hoping he would beat commanders.

They benched him and are starting a rookie 😭😭

You and I have agreed on that approach in the past and agree once again now.
